    Hansel and Gretel

pretty good if you like supernatural, buffy, angel, etc. While there was blood and guts, it wasn't gory or gruesome, quickly off the screen, as well.

Hansel and Gretel kick 3D Butt !!!

This was not the story from my childhood, no . It was way better!!!
The 3D actually had me flinch a few times and the storyline was pretty well written. The witches and their broomsticks were awesome.
If you want a fun entertaining evening. While this movie is definately not for children, due to the violence and language. You got to go and it doesn't matter if it's a date or with friends or even by yourself. You won't be disappointed for this was one Cool Flick !!!

    Hansel and Gretel

Put some new twists to the movie...the makeup was cool....but was bored by the time the movie was half way into it....comic relief was the troll....reminded me of Shrek! would be ok to watch once or twice but would never buy it if it made it to dvd.

    Fun FUn FUn

This was a fun movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it. No Oscars here, but a rocking good time will be had. It's ripe for future adventures and I for one will buy those tickets.

    Good Saturday Night

The movie was funny with a lot of good action scenes. I was entertained for a couple of hours which is what you want in a movie. Critics don't like things that don't make us contemplate our existence. Its not that. Its a fun way to spend a Saturday.

    H & G

I will have to say that I was a little disappointed to say the least. I watched it in 3D which did make you jump every now and then. Personally I really don't care for the 3D movies they are just to dark for my taste anyway. The Troll Edward was pretty cool. I always like J. Renner. He would have made a great James Bond in my opinion. If I had it all to do over again I would just wait for the DVD,,

    Get prepared for H&G 2...

    Hansel and Gretel....

Pure entertainment...why do the critics ALWAYS fail to note this value? Yes...the script could have been a wee bit better, but isn't that always the case? The cast was fantastic, especially Jeremy and Famke. Have noticed his excellence since first seeing his heroic part in 28 Weeks Later...then Avengers, and now this one. Moral: don't pay too much attention to the critics if indeed you watch movies for their entertainment value. The 3D made it even better! Jim

    Good film with great action.

The fight sequences are were great. Those witches were kicking Hansel and Gretal's butt. I was funny and violent at the same time. Not for children at all.

    Hansel and Gretel Lifepath

    by

The film ?Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters? centers around the close knit duo of Hansel (played effortlessly by Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (played in an incredible way by Gemma Arterton). Both Hansel and Gretel are pretty much forced into a life of being witch hunters after they dare to eat from a secluded candy house in the forest. I enjoyed the fact that Hansel and Gretel were created as characters of a brother and sister who stand by each other through good and challenging times. Hansel and Gretel?s character evolutions are indirectly shaped by a discreet white witch named Mina (played in a heartfelt way by Pihla Viitala) and a troll named Edward. In all fairness, Famke Janssen also played her witch character in a convincing fashion and in a way that also helped strengthen the tight bond that Hansel and Gretel have. ?Hansel and Gretel? is fine for those who are ok with watching films that mash fantasy and dark comedy in the plots.

    Solid twist on classic tale

    by D-Nutz

This film is what it is...a fun, action-packed adventure flick with mild frights mixed in. Jeremy Renner (as Hansel) did an admirable job, however, Gemma Arterton (Gretel) was less than believable and downright wooden to be quite honest. The 3D visuals were pretty decent but sparingly on display in my opinion. All in all, solid if not spectacular flick, probably not worth the trip to the movie theater on its own accord but worth the rent when released on Bluray/DVD.

    Great 3D and Special Effects

I really enjoyed the movie overall; however, the updated language used was a little too colorful at times. Actors did a great job! The Special and 3D effects, and cinematography were extremely good; best 3D movie I've seen in years. It is an adult movie, especially with the colorful language, and the high amount of killings/blood splashed throughout. All in all, I really liked the movie and recommend it to all that like great special effects, 3D and an updated take on an old time fairy tale.

    Believe the previews

    by

Critics are paid to tear movies apart. This movie is exactly what it should be...fun. The 3D definitely makes it intense, which is good. There are no long drawn out plot points. But the simplicity of it is how you lose yourself in it and just enjoy the exploding witches riding around on tree branches. Two words........ Hella Fun

    Real cool movie

I would definitely recommend seeing this movie. It is rated R because the killing of the witches is real gory and there is cursing, but no crazy sex scenes.... you can take a teenage kid to watch it.

    So-So

    by

The movie was just ok, I could have waited to catch it on DVD, it was not the worst movie ever, it was just a little dry after awhile, the action was good but other than that I really can't say anything to be excited about.

    Surprisingly very good!!

    by

I went to see this this past weekend, because somebody I knew wanted to see it,and I went with them.I thought this was gonna be on of those movies, with cheap one liners, and just over all bad action.I was wrong.I am so glad I saw it.A lot of action, the 3D was awesome, and there was more blood than I originally thought!!I would definitely watch it again!!!
