    Made Well but very perdictable

    Although the movie was made well, great special affects and the actors did a good job, the movie was very predictible and after the first or second witch hunt ...extremely boring. Not for little kids as the blood and guts was ongoing.

    One of the best movies I have seen

    This is one of the best movies that I have seen in a long time. I usually do not pay the ridiculous prices of the theaters but this was an exception. The graphics were amazing! As well as the makeup and costume designs. Everything looks real, this was definitely a big budget movie considering all of the effects. I would not bring the kids, a lot of in good nature swearing with the F bomb but it did not ruin the movie. There is 1 nude seen where some TNA are shown but nothing jaw dropping. I would go back to see this movie, you will not regret it.

    Could have been better.

    Atmosphere, locations and the storyline were good. Actors were great. I loved the witches. Movie could have done without the profanity and the nude scene. Also, the use of the word hillbillies seemed clumsy. Hicks would have been good, bumpkins even better. Even though the nude scene was unnecessary, I did enjoy it.

    Gotta see it now!

    Someone gave it a SO-SO rating and stated ".let's face it, back in that time period I don't think that the 'f' bomb would have been part of the language of the day." UMMMMMMMMMM come on guys, we all saw the trailers! I don't think in that era there were Witches with MACHINE GUNS EITHER or a gingerbread house or a hansel or a gretel!!! Hahahahahahaha Not only was the review so laughable, now I just want to go to see if any of it could even be considered realism! LOL Its a story about Hansel and Gretel with a Van Helsing spin, the kids escape being baked and then find futuristic weapons to hunt evil kid eating Witches! OF COURSE IM IN! :) :) :) If this doesn't take my mind off of the bad economy NOTHING WILL.

    Oh, no

    I tend to like sci-fi, fantasy, action, historical and the like. This film butchers all the genres except horror, perhaps...except everyone knows what's coming next, it's just gore. Not funny enough to be campy, not self-indulgent enough to be clearly showing they get how bad it is. Not funny. No plot line. Almost everyone in the theatre (not many) were grumbling on the way out. My date said it was the worst movie they'd ever seen about midway through...and it didn't improve.

    kinda hokey kinda fun

    It's kinda a hokey fun movie but it does have a lot of scenes that you just can't figure out what the heck they are doing. There are some funny parts that make you laugh out loud. Definitely would not take children to this as it is not you typical hansel and gretel story. Does have some really good special effects.

    Great Movie

    The movie has consistent action throughout. And the story is somewhat unique and interesting. I would see it again just to see what I missed the first time. I liked the twist. Original.

    Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

    Creepy not scary. About 90% action & 10% talking. Special effects were very good. It won't win an oscar but it was a little better than I thought it would be. I do love Jeremy Renner! He is great in action adventure movies. I saw it in 2D and it was fine. 3D would probably been better is you want to pay out the extra money.

    all you expect, action, average acting and a naked chick

    This movie is all it promises to be, an decent fantasy action movie. The dialogue was nothing of substance, but if you're looking at going to this movie that's not really what you'd care about anyhow. It wasn't the Grimm story of Hansel & Gretel that we all know, but I thought it was connected well enough that it could keep the name.

    Its my kind of movie but it was a little weak. I wanted to see more interaction with the orge and I wanted the white witch to be stronger as well as Hans because he is a Warlock.

    Hansel and Gretel

    The setting of this movies was pretty good and the plot and story line was meaningful and it also showed how things stared which is a good thing so that we can know why they became witch hunters. I thought that Jeremy Renner was a perfect fit for Hansel he did a great job with most of the heavy lifting in the movie despite that his character had issues which he did good acting out. He fit the character very well on screen and n the story line. The gorgeous Gemma Arterton addressed the character of Gretel extremely well she steps into the roll and it befitted her best. This twist on the story of Hansel and Gretel show the more gruesome side of the nice warm fair tails we are used to growing up to when we were younger this a lot different from those stories that you?ve heard, but at the same time the story has a lot of action and the story line leads to lots of mystery that keeps you guessing until the end, and gives a lot of surprises that you wouldn?t see coming .the action keeps com

    Unevenly directed, Unevenly acted and unevenly written, this movie had a few wonderful moments but its potential was washed down the drain by producers who wanted to make a quick buck . The critics got this one right - don't waste your money.

    I am looking so forward to seeing the film, especially since I wrote an erotic version on Amazon called "Hansel and Gretel with the Sexual Hunter." Even with all the bad reviews from the critics, I'll probably end up loving it. Lol!
