    Fun Movie

    I enjoyed Hansel and Gretel, I thought it was full of action, visually entertaining and it had quite a few funny moments in it as well.

    Hansel and Gretel

    This movie was worth the money I paid to see it. The characters were excellent, also the story line. It was action from the beginning to the end. The CG did not look fake like other movies I've seen, more realistic. It may be a little scary for some children. Go see it, it's worth it.

    Great special effects and make up but pretty stupid plot

    Ok, so the movie overal was ok, not an over the top plot. The make up used for the witches was bad ass, the first witch encounter got me shivering! I loved how bad *** they acted through out the film.
    Kind of a Spoiler: in the beginning of the film when they grew up, it took them great length to kill a witch, towards the end it seemed like killing a witch was like riding a bike. It was kind of like the new lord of the rings, i dont die and kill hundreds in a few minutes...its just to phony.

    I would recommend seeing this on a weekday when the price is cheper, but overall not bad. id give it a 6.7/10

    Not the worst way to spend a late afternoon

    Snow White and the Huntsman and Red Riding Hood were done better. Still, turn off the brain for 2 hours, enjoy the eye candy and see it at a 2nd run theater if you can.
    Easy paycheck for the cast, normally I fully enjoy the work they do...the performances are bored, phoned-in and cheesy.
    Maybe that's the point. Anyway, the gore scenes were well done.

    Purely entertaining from start to end!

    I didn't really think I could enjoy a movie about a fairy tale like this, but I really did enjoy this one. Although, it's not scary at all. Pure action. A good watch if you want some gore and violence!

    Better than expected - great sets and costumes, effects

    Outstanding visual design, sets, costumes and effects. The guns and other weapons were very realistic as were the creatures of the forest. Lots of action to keep the audience engaged throughout the "witch hunt", if you will. Best seen in 3D with arrows and debris flying into the theater. The characters looked real, it was difficult for me to disappoint myself because I couldn't find anything that looked CGI'd or gimmicky. Overall, the performance was fun, exciting in 3D, and it maintained a satisfying level of realism and spookiness.

    Terribly Disappointing!

    I couldn't wait to see this movie. I absolutely love Jeremy Renner. But just a few minutes into the move it was obvious that it was going to be a bad movie. It was so gruesome in a cheap and cheesy manner. Really Bad plot. Terrible script. And most of the actors and actresses were badly cast. I would have left the movie before it was over but wanted to give the movie the benefit of the doubt and watch all of it before I made a final decision. Well the final decision is I wasted my money and Jeremy Renner's talents were wasted on this film. Don't spend your money on it. You'll feel cheated.

    Not the H & G I grew up with!

    "Hansel & Gretal: Witch Hunters" was very entertaining. My wife and I enjoyed it. A lot of violence but the dip in the pond scene was great! So if you like heads being popped off and lots of killing, you will enjoy this. But leave you young ones at home!!! It's not the H & G I grew up with, but that's a good thing.

    Unbelievably Bad

    This movie proves, once and for all, that you can make a special-effects-heavy action movie out of anything. The children's tale of Hansel and Gretel seems like a likely candidate for story massacring, but it just doesn't work here. The witches are turned into magic-wielding villans who fly around and kill children for ritual sport. I sat back in my seat in amazement at how bad this movie was and yet no one in the theater was leaving, including myself. I supposed we were all glued to the seat with shock. There's no other explanation.

    Not bad but could have been better

    Its my kind of movie but it was a little weak. I wanted to see more interaction with the orge and I wanted the white witch to be stronger as well as Hans because he is a Warlock.

    Could have been better.

    Atmosphere, locations and the storyline were good. Actors were great. I loved the witches. Movie could have done without the profanity and the nude scene. Also, the use of the word hillbillies seemed clumsy. Hicks would have been good, bumpkins even better. Even though the nude scene was unnecessary, I did enjoy it.

    Very entertaining but NOT for kids!

    This movie was very entertaining. There were no boring parts, the characters were cool, and the story was great. I saw it in 3D and it was really good. Normally, 3D movies bother my eyes but this one did not. Warning: the witches in this movie are pretty scary and I do not recommend them for children. Yes it has a few curse words but it's for adults not kids. I think it was worth the price.

    A MUST SEE FAIRYTALE

    Fantastic! Action packed, suspense and thrilling! And yes, comical comments to make you laugh and love the characters even more. I believe it is a must see flick! Kudos on this one!

    It was a little on the lite side....

    Although the movie had good fight scenes and special effects, the plot was a little thin and underdeveloped. At some points it was annoying and predictable. In spite of this, I really liked the twist to the classic fairytale. This movie is a cross between Snow White and The Huntsman, Van Helsing and Red Riding Hood.
