    I loved this film!

    This of it as a sort of "Crash" type movie taking place in the lives of senior citizens. Funny and heartwarming, the story lines flow seamlessly. The film is set primarily in Indian and there are both LOL moments and charming heart felt take aways. This is a film that adults would enjoy. Most men would probably grit their teeth at the thought of going, but come away pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was (my husband for instance). Do see this film...you won't be disappointed!

    The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

    Lovely film. With my favorite and iconic British actors, it wasn't going to be a bad movie as far as I was concerned. I laughed and cried. The dialog was sharp and witty. The backdrop of Jaipur was stunning and made me want to visit! Overall a very positive movie, wanted more!

    Feel-good, quick pace, fleshed out

    I REALLY loved this movie. The pace was quick but not too quick, all the characters were developed appropriately and adequately, and it was beautiful. I left feeling satisfied and uplifted.

    Sweet, charming look at life, with India as a fascinating background

    Purpose and flexibility are everything. Makes me want to go live in the Exotic Marigold Hotel tomorrow. Fine performances by everyone, especially the people of Jaipur! (PS-Most of the audience had silver hair!)

    Delightful

    I loved this movie. Nowadays when so many films deal mostly with violence and stupidity, it was great to see a film that captured so many real experiences of life: aging, cultural differences, lack of resources and change. I loved the cast: as usual they are all marvelous. But more than that, I appreciated the range of human reactions the author exposed us to in the character development. I could see myself in virually all of the characters, both good and bad. I recomment this movie to everyone.

    A GREAT MOVIE FOR "GROWN-UPS". DESTINED TO BE A CLASSIC.

    WE SAW PREVIEWS AT OUR LOCAL THEATERS BUT HAD TO DRIVE 116 MILES ONE-WAY TO FIND A THEATER SHOWING IT. I FIND IT SAD COMMENTARY ON THEATERS AND GENERAL AUDIENCES THAT SUCH A WONDERFUL FILM HAS SUCH A LIMITED RELEASE. IT WAS WELL WORTH TRAVELING 116 MILES TO SEE !!!

    Excellent Acting and a Wonderful STORY!

    I have become more disillusioned with movies in recent years. If you take away the remakes, sequels and action movies that rely on special effects, gun play, car chases, explosions and killings, there is not much left. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel actually had a plot, story line, a wonderful ensemble cast and a great setting. It opened my eyes to the beauty of India (as well as its poverty). It also drove home the issues faced by many seniors around the world.
    It is comforting to know that there are still film makers who want to tell a story and are confident (or daring) enough to do it without computers and technological wizardry. 4 stars, two thumbs up and, I would expect Oscar nominations!

    The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

    This was a truly delightful movie! There were so many wise sayings in it that I wanted to have a remote control in my hand and press, "stop," so I could write them down and remember them in my daily life! It was so nice to watch a movie where the actors and situations approached reality. The sights, colors, and imagined smells of India just ignited my senses, and going there is now higher on my bucket list. I am so grateful that this movie was made!

    Amazing movie

    This movies showcases so many emotions you can pick and choose what you want to focus on. Age, regret, love, finding love, holding on to love, great themes all in a chaotic setting of India.

    Great Movie must see and also a lesson to prepare for the stages of life and not get caught up in the day to day.

    Hope you all will enjoy this movie as much as I have.

    You are not old until you are dead

    The film has a simple message. Life is an adventure. There are only two choices, and I consider getting older to be the batter of the two. After that, since we are along for the ride, might as well make it a good one.

    A Good Marigold.....

    Yes I saw it...Yes I loved it..it is just plain entertainment and good at that. The cridics dont always understand a movie can be just plain FUN and enjoyable.

    Lovely

    Loved this movie. Did not want it to end...wanted to continue to escape to the sites and sounds of India and share in the lives of the characters. Fill me up kinda movie.

    Your not too young to see it...

    I went with my mother who is 75 expecting to be a little bored and thinking I wasn't old enough to see it. Boy was I wrong. Charming story, great acting and left me wanting more. Great flick. Should have been more widely released!

    Best Exotic Marigold Hotwel

    Pure fun for adults. Yes, the plot is a bit predictable, but the actors are all superb, combining excellent characterizations, fabulous ensemble work, and perfect timing. The cinenatography
    beautifully depicts the vibrant Indian scene .
    One complaint, when will movies STOP giving away the entire plot and the best lines in the trailers? SPOILER ALERT ON THIS ONE.

    Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

    An insight to the process of aging and into how a different culture places values and attitudes on living and aging. For seniors, it isa trip into what might be but will forever be remembered for what was. Photography and cultural depictions were spectacular. It is a movie for probably 18+ viewers.
