A different coming of age movie.

    by mperata

Everybody played their part and every part fit perfectly.

I would probably wait until you are are at least 55 and nearing retirement if you want to understand the theme.
The audience applauded - and that doesn't happen often.

    Great movie for "mature" adults

loved it! I just recently retired and it was so right on. More power to those of us with courage and foresight to plan our futures and live them instead of having our future rule us and beat us down.

    Lovely Movie

Movie was very enjoyable. Cast was terrific. A little predictable and some moments were a bit cliche. However, the cast was so good it didn't matter.

Heartwarming date movie with great cast!

    by suus64

Saw The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel with my husband last night. We loved it! Dame Judi Dench is great, always a pleasure to see Bill Nighy, and Tom Wilkinson was amazing. Very charming story, well-acted, and with beautiful scenery of India.

    Poignant Story, Wonderful Filmmaking

    by jmassey

Wonderful photography and acting. Especially enjoyed Maggie Smith's performance. This very entertaining film brought back fond memories of visits to the vibrant city of Jaipur. An uplfiting and poignant story. A MUST GO for every Indophille, a definite GO for the less adventurous traveler who can experience the wonders of India from the comfort of a theater seat.

What a joy to go to a movie these days that is funny, poignant and easy to identify with as we gradually get older...to be able to laugh outloud and not feel embarrassed as all around you everyone is laughing.

    Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

One of the finest movies I've seen in many a year. Wonderfully written, finest magnificently skilled cast, beautiful cinematography, funny, witty, heartwarming. I wanted it to go on for another hour.

I am 67, but cannot imagine how it would not be enjoyable for any theatergoer that enjoys film.

    Great entertainment!

This warmly touching and sometimes hilarious movie is a must see for all ages. I went on Mother's Day with my two daughters age 31 and 50 and we laughed and cried all the way through it.

Saw it for the Great Stars of the UK

It not everyones cup of tea. Slow in areas, like jump starting a buick regal but once its warmed up it grows on you with a great joyful feeling. Let be realistic. Not Real . Realistic. WE WILL ALL END UP AT MARIGOLD HOTEL.. If not now then later but we will all end up being old.

    Loved this movie

I absolutely loved every scene of this movie. Throughout the entire movie I was feeling so grateful for the awesome cast of brilliant British actors and the heart-felt story set in beautiful India. A friend mentioned there was no-one under 60 in the audience when they went to see it. Well, I'm 42 and I absolutely LOVED it!

    Over 60 Crowds

    by

Anyone under 60 probably will not like this movie. We laughed all the way thru it. I thought the acting was very good, I agree that there were too many story lines to follow. But it does show how older people face difficult times coping with retirement, but not anyone I know has considered retiring to India! And we probably won't either!

    Best exotic Marigild Hotel

Absolutely fabulos! A realistic story about how to never stop leaving your comfort zone and trying something new...we are NEVER too old. Told through an inviting travelogue of India with amazing cinematography. Marvelous actors who are perfectly cast in their roles with each giving a memorable performance. While the focus in on the 55 plus crowd, it is a movie with a message for all ages. Definitely a 'want to see it again movie!
