    Wait for DVD

    by cew333

This move had NO End. More serious fights between married couple than serious laughs with them and the rest of the cast. I should have waited until the DVD came out so that Fast -Forward was available. This movie was way to long and could have been edited down in many places.

    Dark

This movie, for me, was not the holiday comedy that I envisioned, but a dark and troubling film with some light moments. A real surprise for me, and not what I had in mind. All the actors played their roles well, and it was believable and true to life. But I wanted escapism, nit drama. My bad, should have chosen Jack Reacher.

    This is 40

I really like the actors in this movie but the premise misses the mark. And what makes the director think that bathroom humor appeals to an adult audience?I have a 2nd grade grandson, a 1st grade grandson and a 4 yr old grandson who think that bathroom humor is hilarious. Fortunately they will outgrow it, why hasn't the director and the actors done the same. Here is an idea, play up to an audience not down to an audience.

    This is Forty

This a is a great movie all around for adults. It is packed with humor, drama and relates well to the modern family. Although there is a period of sadness in the movie, it picks back up quickly. Make sure you stay for the credits:)

    Fall Down Funny

    by

What can I say its like knocked up meets brides maids and is well worth the watch. My wife and I really enjoyed it but we liked knocked up and bridesmaids; that said if you didn't then you wont like this movie.

    Wait for the DVD

I had seen an interview with Judd Apatow so was interested in seeing this movie. His wife and children are 3 of the main characters. The acting was good and it is definately an Apatow movie. There isn't much of a plot but if you are 40+ you will see parts that apply to you. See it but wait for the DVD.

    A Good Time!

This movie had my husband and I cracking up at parts... It was a good movie that we related to. I think if your married, have kids and a sense of humor, you will also enjoy this movie. Make sure you stay while the credits are rolling... the out-takes were hilarious, we were both in tears laughing.

A Clear Picture of Life at 40, with the Pleasures and ManyPains that comes with It.

Apatow does his thing again! He makes a comedy out of an introspective story about real people. If you are married and in your 40s, or even close to it, you will probably get more of a snapshot of your life than laughs. It was funny at times, but not drop dead funny. Melissa McCarthy was hilarious as always though. The good part was that Rudd and Mann give believable performances as the married couple from KNOCKED-UP that are still trying to figure themselves out in this phase of life - with kids, mortgages, careers and sex. The problems they had were things an audience could connect to.They could have cut 10 minutes off the film to move it along quicker though. Still, I enjoyed the ups and downs, and the reconciliations the characters had to go through. It may not hit the funny bone like you thought walking in, but it will make you feel something walking out. Don't miss the outtakes. Geek Soul Brother gives this film 3 out of 5 Cosmic Afros. slow start. had some funny moments. the trailers and the outakes at the ending credits that we saw were the best part of the movie.
the leads in the movie were good. the kids were funny, specially the older daughter. melissa macarthy was hilarious. more thought provoking about middle age than funny.

    Hilarious!!!!

This movie was great. Lots of language if you have kids that you screen that from, but very funny. Especially for couples either dating or married.

    Relatable

The movies was not bad. It had it's funny parts and it was definitely relatable, but there were some scenes that needed to either keep going or needed to be taken out altogther.

Not so much comedy, lots of drama! Too much drama. Too much cursing and I curse like a sailor. Loved the actors but Lord, did I want to choke them most of the time.....

My husband and I are in our late 30's almost 40's! We loved this movie! We laughed so much and totally related to this couple! We literally laughed so hard we were brought to tears! These two actors have an amazing chemistry and are such a real couple! At times we were glancing at each other saying OMGsh That's totally us! See this movie!!!!!!

    Wow That was bad

    by Ramper1

I was hoping for better, I know it was not a serious movie but it was way to chessey and too much going wrong for the family. Would have liked a little more of the problem to be solved and things to work out better.
