    Pleasantly Surprised

    The movie was really good. It took a minute for me to get over Tyler Perry not being what I'm used to seeing (totally me and not him) but he did well and the movie had a little bit of everything, comedy, drama, action and suspense.

    Alex Cross Great Movie

    If you like action-packed drama with a thrilling story line, go see this today! The acting,the plot and the conclusion does NOT disappoint. Tyler Perry gives a stellar performance in the lead role offering viewers a new identity in his character arsenal. His portrayal is gripping and believable. Fantastic movie worth seeing ON THE BIG SCREEN!

    Don't Cross Alex

    The man will get even, plus some! Good suspense and plot. Surprise ending. I did find the Fandango service of very little value. We purchased tickes ahead online, paid the service charge, and still had to stand in line for our tickets. In fact the movie had already started by the time we worked through the line.

    Make sure you can avoid the lines at your favorite theater before you pay the "convenience" fees to Fandango.

    Ignore the critics

    Despite what the critics say, this is a pretty good movie and offers up a few unexpected twists. It is a departure from the way that Morgan Freeman played it but new energy was brought into it.

    Movie is okay. Love Tyler Perry as MaDear, but not Alex Cross. He does look the part - they got that part right. The movie strayed too far from book and wasn't coherent. I was disappointed.

    You did it Tyler Perry!

    This movie has it all, it will make you laugh, cry and scream. Tyler Perry was fantastic as Alex Cross and Mathew Fox as the villian!
    People need to go in and see this movie with an open mind and not compare it to the one's Morgan Freeman did. Don't you think that's the reason there is so much time between the last Alex Cross and this one? Morgan was great and so is Tyler and I hope he makes many more movies as Alex Cross!

    I loved the movie but....

    The actors were great. I want to see more them in future movies. The movies was good. The critics should find other work to do. They don't know what they're talking about anymore. I never listen to them. This movie was one of many that had I listened to them, I may not have gone. Having read the books, I was kind of disappointed that changes were made in the plot for the sake of the movie. There were a couple of down times as well that wasted precious minutes. Maybe try a new director next time.

    Great movie I thought Tyler Perry did a great job. Intense, lot's of action I was really surprised about Tyler Perry's performance. I was at the edge of my seat. I recommend this movie for all.
    Not for kid's.

    Saw the movie thought it was great..it was hard seeing anyone else other than Morgan Freeman...but Tyler Perry did a great job he felt right in the role..I laughed I cryed ...I clapped ..I shouted at the screen...great movie will see it again before it comes out on DVD..

    Interesting!

    The acting is excellent, casting is great, lots of action, plot was shallow, but for James Patterson's Alex Cross book fans it is a well worthwhile bit of excitement. While it departs greatly from the books, it is every bit as exciting as any of the novels, and fills the adult need for an occasional action film on a cold rainy afternoon.

    Good Movie

    I was pleasantly surprised by this film. Matthew Fox performance was amazing & this is Tyler Perry best acting performance. It was good to see Tyler step outside his brand & Madea. Go to see the film with an open mind, this is not a Tyler Perry film. The entire cast was good. The ending was a surprise & I wanted to know how Picasso evolved.

    GOOD TO SEE TYLER PERRY UTILIZING HIS OTHER TALENTS.
    {ACTION, DRAMA , TEARS AT YOUR EMOTIONS}
    THE STORY LINE LEFT TOO MANY QUESTIONS IN THE END.
    1) ASSASSIN OR SERIAL KILLER
    2) VAGUE BACKGROUND ON WHAT PROMPTED HIS RAGE

    It's nice to see Perry in normal clothing finally.

    I don't find Perry in women's clothing, funny. In this one, he's a serious thoughtful man. It's refreshing to see him in normal clothing and not a cross dresser this time. Personally, I don't find transvestites attractive but that's must me. This is a so so, action cop show with lots of crashes, gun fire and martial arts fighing.

    Never listen to the critics. They usully don't know what the hell they're talking about. This is a perfect example. This was the best movie that I've seen all year. I loved it. Tyler Perry was excellent. This is a must see movie!!!! I rate it a 9.5 our of 10!! If I would have listened to the critics, I would have missed out on a great movie.

    Funny thought... In the back of my mind I kept waiting for the character Madea to appear to save the day?

    P.S. It was great to see all of the scenes from Detroit!!

    Excellent suspese/thriller

    Seeing Tyler Perry in this type of serious role was definitely different for him. Once I got into the story line, it was very suspenseful and unpredictable. There were some scenes when I had to close my eyes. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. A cop with a PhD is really intriguing! Way to go Tyler!
