    Give Tyler a Break

    I guess some people did not see the same movie I did based on some of the comments. Also, people are putting their two cents worth in and have NEVER even seen the movie. It was really good. My husband and I were out of school on Friday so we went to the first showing at our local movie theatre. Let me say that it was really good and enjoyable. Was it perfect? No...not by any stretch of the imagination. However, it was worth the price and it was entertaining. It had parts that literally would make you cringe. It was that gross! It had all the components of a good action flick: car chases, things blowing up, guns, and more blowing up, glass shattering, running, intrigue, love, a protagonist that you loved, and an antagonist that was bat crap crazy!

    I will say the directing was not good...at all and the writing could use some work but that had nothing to do with the actor's performances. They all did a great job! Matthew Fox was nuts and unrecognizable!

    Alex Cross

    The movie was excellent and definitely left you wanting more, as in, the next episode. Tyler captured the cerebral and the action. It was a treat!

    Alex Cross left me unexcited

    So, I want to start off by saying that I have read every James Patterson book, including all of the Alex Cross series, and this interpretation of the book was good as far as the story line goes, but the dialog, action, and overall thrill that existed in the book was not in the movie.

    It was as if there was a lack of understanding of the characters. And I am sorry, but there is tons of excitement and anticipation in the book that was lacking in the movie.

    I would still recommend to go, but, I wish they had done more with it!

    Alex Cross + Tyler Perry = ???????

    I love Tyler Perry and all of his projects to date so I was very pleased to here about a new project on the way. My excite quickly turned into amusement after I saw the trailers for the movie. Tyler Perry as a action hero!!!! HA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAHAAHAAA!!!! BWWAHAHAAHHAAAAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I CAN'T BREATH HAHAHAAAHAAAHAAA!!!!!!! I decided I would see the movie anyway because I love Tyler Perry and I still wanted to support him. I went to the theater fully intending to LAUGH MY *** OFF. To my surprise it ....     This is when I feel for actors

    You have an great set of actors who do an exceptional job with their roles. Matthew Fox is so unnerving and distasteful, that you can't help being abhorred by him (that was the point). But, the book was purely James Patterson (so-so written) and the screenplay was ... AWFUL. The story is so awful that you can't enjoy the action or suspense or creepiness of the actors.

    I'm sorry that you had to see this if you went. This is why people cringe about "movies these days ..."

    Stupd and a waste of money and time and energy. Madea as a man it was like reverse drag. Tyler has to start believing he is a man before he can act like one. It was like watching a drag queen play 007

    Alex Cross is a very good moive not as good as Kiss the girl great action but little too much Alex Cross is a thinking man not a action guy but again a recomend this to see and compare............

    Alex Cross was EXCELLENT

    My husband and I went to see Alex Cross last night. It was EXCELLENT! The only part that was a little odd was Tyler Perry running around at the beginning of the movie. He seems a tad bit too old and out of shape to be running through tunnels. At the end, it made sense for him to chase his wife's killer down because then it became personal.

    I really enjoyed the movie Tyler Perry is a FANTASTIC actor!

    i really enjoyed this movie. the plot was good, the suspense was good the acting was good.
    no foul language ,no nudity.
    a rare thing now adays.

    Was not very Thrilling..

    I am an avid James Patterson fan and adore all of the Alex Cross novels. I loved the movies "Kiss the Girls" and "Along Came a Spider." They were exciting and offered so much into the world of Cross. I was a little skeptical that Tyler Perry was playing the lead but thought maybe he could pull it off by chance. Over all, the movie has some lackluster acting, bad camera work and no depth to the characters what so ever. There were only two scenes with his children. They are major characters. Also, even though the scenes with his wife were convincing and her death scene made me cry, I could not get into Cross' mind. He is a genius and I was not feeling it at all. When Cross gave his so called profile, it felt as if they just pulled psychological names from a book and stuck them together. I am so disappointed in this movie. I will not recommend it at all.

    I liked Tyler Perry in this role. He is an actor that I would ensure to watch in future movies. The movie was great. Any movie that makes you laugh and makes you cry is great to me.

    Alex Cross

    My Favorite writer, with his best character. Movie is not for the faint of heart. I found it exciting.
    Some harsh scenes and scary at times, but as for me I thoroughly enjoyed it.
    Hope this is just the first of many Alex Cross films would enjoy a series of them with the same lead stars.

    Alex Cross was GREAT!

    Tyler Perry was excellent. The concept and cast of Alex Cross was phenomenal. The movie overall kept me on the edge of my seat. I screamed a couple of times and cried. GREAT MOVIE GO SEE!

    Wait for the DVD

    Saw Alex Cross last night, first of all the bad guy Sinister was so bland, and during the main fight scene they tried to show it both Alex Cross and Sinisters POV which made the majority of the scene blurry and you couldn't tell what was going on and that was really the only action scene. Basically a dull movie although I will give Tyler Perry credit because prior to this I couldn't picture him as anything other than Madea let alone an action hero.

    Tyler Perry Impressive

    Awesome movie!! Initially I was doubtful that Tyler Perry could be a credible action movie actor. After viewing the movie, I'm thoroughly impressed with his transformation from Madea to Alex Cross. Everything about the movie pops and the bad guy was very good at being a bad guy.

    Buy your ticket on Fandango, hop in your ride, leave your Madea expectation on the couch, and go see this awesome movie!!
