    This is just a so-so movie. In a way predictable but I didn't see the ending coming. It is different then the book, if you read it. Wait for the DVD.

    Tyler Perry is Alex Cross Personified

    My husband and I went to see the movie. We both like Tyler Perry's movies and we both read James Patterson's book so we were looking forward to seeing this movie. I think that the movie is a must see even though it does not follow the book to the letter. I was very pleased with the action, suspense and drama. Please go see it and take someone or a few people with you. As readers of the book and a fan of Tyler Perry, you will find yourselves discussing the movie and book with a sense of enthusiasm. I think Tyler Perry delivered us a modern, sexy and intelligent Alex Cross and I hope Morgan Freeman shares this point of view. He was our first Alex Cross and I think the baton was sucessfully passed on to Tyler Perry.

    Tyler Perry Shocked me!! LOL Good performance!! There were some changes from the books, but not much. I was truely pleased. The action was great. Must see.

    i really enjoyed the movie lots of excitement very easy to follow i would see it again not for kids under the age of 15 the main charter was great as always never saw him this type of acting before he did a great job

    This was an excellent action movie. Both Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox were excellent in their portrayals of their characters. It took some time to discover who the real villian was however he did get his reward in the end. This is not a movie for the kids.

    Saw the movie thought it was great..it was hard seeing anyone else other than Morgan Freeman...but Tyler Perry did a great job he felt right in the role..I laughed I cryed ...I clapped ..I shouted at the screen...great movie will see it again before it comes out on DVD..

    Good ACtion Movie

    Strong cast, Plenty of action and a good story. Kept me absorbed from beginning to end. A caution for some in that there is a good bit of violence.

    Alex Cross...I loved it!! This movie had all the elements of an award winning action packed film. It was intriguing, exciting and will have you fixated on the screen especially if you love suspense. This movie has it ALL! Tyler made you forget there ever was a Madea! KUDOS TYLER PERRY AWAITING MORE!!

    I Thought Was Great by T.T.

    On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd definatly have to give it an 8. The movie was action packed from beginning to end. I did not see a problem with the acting or cinematography. I thought the shaking enhance the impact of the action. I also thought Tyler did a great job in the transiction from Madea to Alex Cross. But at one point I did notice Madea coming through. It was ever so slight. And not necessarily a bad thing. I thought the plot was great and Matt Fox also did a great job as villian. You should go and see it for yourself though. I don't think you will be disapointed. Worth the money. My husband loved it. Not for kids.

    Alex Cross Movie

    My husband and I enjoyed the movie alot. I thought Tyler did a wonderful job playing a character as an educated detective something a little different than Madea. I think Tyler will be the upcoming Denzel Washington. Tyler Perry has proven he is capable of being more than just Madea although Madea is loved by many, I think Tyler's fans will embrace his mor serious roles. God Bless you Tyler.......

    This was a good movie for Tyler Perry to break into without the Madea trademark. I was very pleased with this movie, but didn't understand why the plot took so long to be revealed as to why Matthew Fox character did what he did.

    I would go and see this again . . . .

    Fantastic action movie. Tyler Perry did a wonderful job of acting and story telling as usual. Thank youfor taking another step up the ladder. Your transformation is far from complete. Wonderful seeing Ms. Tyson again. Thank you.

    disjointed and predictable

    Acting was fine but the story was lacking on multiple levels...I got the feeling important scenes ended up being edited out, there were too many subplots and not enough character depth. Also was a 1.5 hour long commercial for GM. Save your money, wait for it to come to Netflix or Red Box if you want to see it.

    Why Does Hollywood have to change essentials??

    As far as movies go, it was good. Tyler Perry was a very believable Alex Cross, and Cicely Tyson was the perfect Nana Mama. And the bad guy owned the role he played.
    If you are a true Alex Cross fan from the books, you will be terribly disappointed in one key thing. No John Sampson. There was a character portraying the relationship that Alex Cross and Sampson has in the books, but it was a white guy, for Heaven's sake. There was no reason for that.
    Overall it is a decent movie. And don't take your kids.

    Alex Cross

    This movie was g-r-e-a-t! Excellent casting, the acting was spot-on, and the storyline kept me on the edge. I'd go and see this movie again. Can't wait for the DVD. By now people should know that Tyler Perry can really act. I've never read Alex Cross or any of Mr. Patterson other books, however the ENTIRE CAST in this movie has convinced me to pick one up real soon. Fantastic job on everyone's part!
