    A Horrible Movie

    I am an avid movie - goer . I see a movie on average once or twice a week. Killing them softly is one of the worse movies I have seen in years. Please don't waste your time and money going to see it. I wish I had skipped it. Brad Pitt should be ashamed !!!!!

    Biggest dissapointment

    This was one of the most dragged out pieces of trash I have ever seen. And it was the first time I have ever been to the movies in which the entire audience grumbled throughout the movie at how awful it was. There was no excitement to the story, the acting wasn't too great, and the dialogue was so dragged out and unnecessary it made you wish it was a silent film. if I had known how bad it was I would have took the money I would have spent on the movie, bought pepper spray and maced myself. Such a garbage flick, use that money to buy or do anything else but see this disaster.

    Great Hit man movie! It's the big F***k You to Corporate America

    this Movie is not for Pussys! I loved it. It basically showed regulard hit guy Bratt Pitt trying to do a hit for this corporate guy and his "Board". These corporate guys want the hit man to do the dirty work and then try to chip him out of his money towards the end.
    Brat PItt responds with the best line in todays Movie as
    "
    this is not America anymore, It's a business" so pay me my money motherfu**er!
    I personally would have shot the corporate guy myself.

    Mediocre story that is REALLY well shown

    The cinematography is amazing.
    The plot is thin.
    They spent a decent amount of time on information that didnt pertain to the story and didnt spend enough time on the story.

    second worst movie of my life of 50 plus years

    Walked out after 30 minutes. I see most movies when they first come out. I must admit that most animations are much better than this movie. Wasted $7 but the popcorn was good.

    Not good

    This was bad. All meaningless dialog, much of with had nothing to do with what little plot there was. Overacted with no feelings ever developed for the characters. I wanted them to shoot me and get this movie over with. DON'T GO, Don't rent..

    The Friends of Eddie Coyle

    For those familiar with that 70's classic you will understand the reference for those that dont....go watch it.
    While the critics seem to dislike it, I however on balance liked the movie. Mr Pitt I believe is a very generous actor meaning......he seems very comfortable to merely take a back seat in order to support another actors dominant role..a rear gift indeed in an ego driven industry. For me the most interesting and riveting character was James Gadolfini his was an oscar caliber performance while Brad played foil his under stated role complimented Gadolfini brilliantly. The Australian character too was notable... btw my definition of notable is...one that is 100% credible and obliterates the lines between fiction and reality.
    Admittedly; this movie has a niche market, but for those of us looking for the unusual this movie provides something a little different and indulges our slightly darker and prurient cinematic fixation.

    One of my list of "Worse Top Ten" movies of all time

    This was the most disjoined, jerky, poorly written wait of time I've seen since I went to see the Master, another one on my "Worse List"...the Master, "Talking to Goats" and a few Chuck Noris movies.

    How ironic the title is reflective of how I felt watching it

    Sorry but to all writers out there how about providing some depth to your scripts rather than every other word being the F word. This movie was awful. Pitt was subpar gandolfini's character was pointless just like the movie. Save your money

    Fooled by big names

    Ouch. Worst movie I have seen lately. Slow - like Pitt's swagger. Plot - slim. Directing - what directing? If there was a theme I missed it. I must have seen a different flick than the rest. Language not for kids. The title says it all - killing me softly at the box office.

    Manage your expectations...

    If you like well written dialogue and good acting you will like this movie. If you expect a huge, production, shoot them up..this isn't it. It has some technical flaws but you can overlook them for the quality of the performances. It's slow and methodical but it gets there and the scenes that are meant to be graphic are that...very graphic. If you like your murders sanitary, this isn't it...they do what they are meant to do and that is revolt you.

    Killing Them softly

    Terrible movie - the theater should be embarrassed to charge for this DOG. Thought because Brad Pitt was in it, it would be worth seeing. It was VERY SLOW, VERY BLOODY - truly can't think of ONE redeeming this about this film. If the goal was to show an extremely seedy side of life it succeeded - that's the only thing it succeeded in doing.

    Hitting YourSelf In The Face With A Hammer Would Be Easier

    This movie never makes up its mind as to what it wants to be so in the meantime, it drags you through a subtle political discourse that sticks out like a sore thumb coupled with endless sea of graphic violence that rarely adds to the film's attempted plot points. The whole think felt like, sort of, David Lynch trying to do a hitman's version of Lost In Translation, failing miserably in the process.

    Once again I did not read the reviews before going to this movie. Wanted to walk out many time and so sorry that I did not. Brad Pitt drew me in but what a horrible and gross movie.
