    What was Brad Pitt thinking?

A ridiculous series of monologues of drug addicts and drunks. If Pitt did this movie just so he could rant about America being a racket instead of a community then he's the chump he came off as. Give your money back Brad.

It's pretty easy to see which critics are PAID for their reviews.

I helped support the Weinsteins and Brad with my movie ticket purchase

So I will count it in my mind as a charitable contribution (non tax deductible) to that group, as it certainly was not earned. The script was awful. It was unnecessarily gory. The plot was pointless. The politically charged background was irritating. One good quality was the music sound track with selections from the thirties and forties, emphasizing, I suppose, the comparison of the great depression with our present recession. Whoop dee doo! This was not an intellectual commentary, just a wannabe.

Boring drawnout annoying-no action worst movie

It takes skill to make a mob movie like watching The View, its like a collection of talk shows of guys in cars talking just to pass the time. 3 action scenes in the whole thing, and most are so lame. Most of movie is filler between the few action. Brad Pitt only participates in one action and watching him keep talking is more annoying then Gardofilini(tony soprano) which doesnt do anything else. Worst movie of the year. What the heck are the broadcast of the 2008 elections and economy have to do with anything.
Try to find a great speech about andrew jackson by brad pitt at the end of the movie, elsewhere instead of the movie.

was very disappointed. left the movie feeling sick because it sucked so bad. was very confusing and slow, never really knew what the hell was going on. the best part is the slow motion shooting scene.

    Killing them softly

The worst movie I have seen in a long time. I slept through half of the movie hoping it would get better. Don't waste your money unless you rent from Redbox.

    Thinking man's chess game

    by

If your going expecting a full blown action flick think again. What your getting is a Mob Movie where ever actor is a representation of American from Brad Pitt's Coogan(working class man), NY Micky (Wall St), The Boss (Government). then others along the line fall in as mmigrants, Big Business and so forth. Well crafted using the clips of Bush,Obama,McCain Dialogue to aid to the events on screen

KILLING THEM SOFTLY WORST WORST WORST

    by mjnovel

Worst movie i ever saw. What an insult to my intelligences.WORST WORST WORST. How did Brad Pitt sign on for this movie .He must be desperate for money for his wedding.I wanted to walk out as soon as i heard Obama talking. To get people in to see a movie and then push politics down your throat. The director should be arrested.

    Killing Them softly

Terrible movie - the theater should be embarrassed to charge for this DOG. Thought because Brad Pitt was in it, it would be worth seeing. It was VERY SLOW, VERY BLOODY - truly can't think of ONE redeeming this about this film. If the goal was to show an extremely seedy side of life it succeeded - that's the only thing it succeeded in doing.

    Cheesey, drawn out contract hit.

    by

This is not an exceptional movie, save your money and see something else. The ending is anti climactic, full of predictably bad dialogue from terribly poorly played bad guys... I regret seeing this movie.

    Killing them softly

I like Brad Pitt as an actor but this movie stunk. I give it a half a star.
The best part of the movie was James Gandolfini.

    Horrible movie

    by

By-far, the worst movie I've ever seen. I only watched the entire thing because I couldn't believe that many great actors could be in such a Train wreck. Worse than Gigli .

    Expectations

I had certain expectations of a Brad Pitt performance. Those expectations were not met. The story line and script were mediocre to just plain terrible. The supporting cast did a fair job but when there isn't much of a script to work with, well, "ya just can't turn lead it to gold" I purchased my ticket from Fandango for $10.75, Off to the cinema and $4.00 in petrol. Popcorn and Reese's Pieces, (I brought my own water) another $10.00. Bottom line? My money would have been better spent on a 30 minute foot massage at Madame Nhu's. I'm now off to recline in my Barcalounger, watch the original cut of Heaven's Gate, knock back a single malt and have my faithful dog Kazan, lick my feet.

My husband and I both didn't like it at all. Would have turned off if watching at home. Good acting but WAY too many unnecessary F bombs.

    Killing the audience softly!

WOW 0- I though this was going to be a great movie, and was I wrong. This is probably one of the strangest movies I've even seen. There was one positive unintended consequence - I caught up on my sleep during it!

    PASS!
