    Dragged on

    by ffranky

The movie dragged on with pointless dialect, it could have been done in a 30 min tv slot. The acting was suberb which was one of the only reasons I rated it a 3/10

    B O R I N G ! ! ! ! !

OMG - how long was this movie? seemed like 150 minutes of boring dialogue. Has Brad Pitt ever been in a good movie? I don't think so. This one sure as heck is not it. Wait for RedBox, and then only rent it if you have a coupon. What a waste of $8.00..........

    KILLING THEM SOFTLY

This film gets an A-Plus for acting and an F for content. The casting was perfect for this film and the acting was perfect. It's just too bad that every other word in this film is an F this and F that and more. It has some violent scenes that are graphic; but not so many that made them over the top. I'm not a prude; but the overkill of the F word made me want to walk out. There are sentences that have two to three F words in them alone. If the script would have taken out 80% of the cussing this would have been an excellent film. Wake up Hollywood, there's a reason why so many animated films are making hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office.

This is a movie that UN-glorifies the mob world - the Unglorified Tony Soprano family - lots of political subliminal messaging - very gritty - very dirty - showing that hit men live lonely lives, drink too much, and don't get paid enough. That's it. OK, the one positive was that there were ALOT of very cool cars!

SAVE YOUR MONEY - THIS MOVIE TOTALLY SUCKS!

OK, so... my wife & I went out to the movies last night, which we usually never do because of the ridiculously high ticket prices - but we figured with so many good movies out right now, why not - right? WRONG! We went to see "Killing Them Softly" with Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Sam Shepard, Richard Jenkins figuring that with that cast it must be a great film! Ugh! What a total piece of crap!!!

OMG! IT WAS THE SLOWEST MOVING, MOST CONFUSING, CONVOLUTED MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN! It made Vanilla Sky look good! The critics love it which only proves that it's garbage. My boy, "Tony Soprano", had exactly TWO scenes in it and he totally sucked in both of them - and Brad Pitt was more loopy than he was in Snatch, Babel, and Twelve Monkeys all rolled into one.

They say that this picture was made at a cost of $15 million and after the crappy opening weekend it had - the investors will be lucky to break even! Go see SKYFALL again before you waste a dime on this fiasco.

    Thinking man's chess game

    by

If your going expecting a full blown action flick think again. What your getting is a Mob Movie where ever actor is a representation of American from Brad Pitt's Coogan(working class man), NY Micky (Wall St), The Boss (Government). then others along the line fall in as mmigrants, Big Business and so forth. Well crafted using the clips of Bush,Obama,McCain Dialogue to aid to the events on screen

    Just a waste...

I thought that with Brad Pitt starring in the movie, the reviews might have been written by haters. This movie was possibly one of the worst that it has been my misfortune to have watched from beginning to end. Much of the violence was very graphic and was carried well beyond what I felt was called for. Unfulfilled potential is how I would catagorize this film.

Once again I did not read the reviews before going to this movie. Wanted to walk out many time and so sorry that I did not. Brad Pitt drew me in but what a horrible and gross movie.

    Killing Us Deftly

    Stay home!

It would have been far more merciful to have been shot than to have sat through this turd on a rope. Brad is the Pitts. How can such mindless violence and drooling dialogue be put on a screen and then mercilessly charge us to sit through it.

I'd have rather been water-boarded, and felt like I needed to go outside and scrape this movie from the bottom of my shoe.

I'm certain that being made to sit through this "Movie" violates the Geneva Convention.

It will most certainly be available on DVD in a week or so, I'd recommend foregoing the DVD as well.

    TERRIBLE MOVIE

What a waste...This movie could have been great. Instead, it turned into another example of the Hollywood elite making a political statement. I managed to stay for the whole thing but I think a full 1/3 of the audience left before it was over. This was the first time I have EVER truly wanted my money back from a theater. Sad....

    Killing them Badly

    by tam777

This has to be the worst movie I have seen in a long time. I don't even remember what movie was worst than this thing, but I'm sure there must be one out there somewhere. I saw that the reviewers generally gave it a good rating so I went knowing that I don't agree with reviewers too often. Boy I should of followed my gut on this one and saved my money. Brad Pitt and the rest of the actors did an ok job but the story, directing, and cinematography were so bad that 10 minutes into the movie I was thinking about leaving. Then Brad showed up and added a little spark and I stayed till the end hoping it would get better. It never did. Do not waste any money on this thing.

    Deeply intense

    by nhleees

This is a deep, character study of organized crime with some pretty interesting characters. As usual, Brad Pitt does a great job, however, I never really connect (not sure we're meant to) with his character or any of the others, for that matter. So, you kind of watch the story unfold in a detached sort of way. It's interesting and holds your attention, but I certainly didn't leave thinking "wow, what a great movie." I'd recommend waiting for it to come out on Pay per view or Netflix rather than splurging on a theater ticket.

    Killing Them Slowly

    by Xonnel

Movie took forever to get going...in fact it never "really" did. Great characters and wonderful acting but story too slow. I blame the demise of what could have been a cult favorite because of the interesting characters on the director. Somebody please call Quentin Tarantino.

    Great ART flick

If you're looking for another Goodfellas DO NOT go to see this movie. But if you like violence that is so stylized that it really doesn't seem violent anymore go see this movie.

Lots of dialogue that is interesting. Very fast pace. Everyone is amazing in this movie. Long enough to satisfy. Short enough not to bore the audience.
