    Excellent Mob Movie

Three guys who think they know it all, plan to rob a card game and steal thousands of dollars. Little do they know, there are people who will do everything in their power to chase them and find who took their money. Brad Pitt (Jackie) comes in to restore order, and uses his unique talents to find out who robbed the card game. We also see Scoot McNairy (Frankie), Ben Mendelsohn (Russell), James Gandolfini (Mickey), Richard Jenkins (Driver), Vincent Curatola
(Johnny Amato), Ray Liotta (Markie Trattman), Trevor Long (Steve Caprio), Max Casella (Barry Caprio) and Sam Shepard (Dillon) star in this film. If you arer a fan of mob movies, this is the movie for you. Entertaining movie and i enjoyed the 2 hours. Go see it.

    Stay Away

This pretentious film tries too hard to copy David Mamet and Quentin Tarantino and falls flat. Poor acting from Brad Pitt and James Gandolfini stand out. Pitt simply isn't believable as a supposedly scary mob assassin and Gandolfini lumbers through his two scenes. Which brings me to ask, what was the purpose of Gandolfini's character anyway? He is in two small scenes and then disappears - which is related to another complaint - very poor character development. Not to mention that the pacing is way off - and was bored stiff.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS MOVIE...

    by petico

This has to be the WORST movie I've seen in as long as I can remember. I'm not one to leave review because of time issues but this one I couldn't pass. How in the world would "Brad Pitt" be in such a awful movie..? Most of it is just people sitting and talking, what a waste of my time....we are movie buffs and some are great, others good and others not so good but this one was AWFUL!!

    KILLING THEM SOFTLY

This film gets an A-Plus for acting and an F for content. The casting was perfect for this film and the acting was perfect. It's just too bad that every other word in this film is an F this and F that and more. It has some violent scenes that are graphic; but not so many that made them over the top. I'm not a prude; but the overkill of the F word made me want to walk out. There are sentences that have two to three F words in them alone. If the script would have taken out 80% of the cussing this would have been an excellent film. Wake up Hollywood, there's a reason why so many animated films are making hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office.

    Craptastic!! SAVE YOUR $$

Walked out after 40 min. The only upside to my movie experience was the LA Fitness next door...at least I got a good workout. Seriously...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

    Killing Them Softly

    by Big Ed

I thought that Brad Pitt was good, but the character didn't have much depth other than him being a hit man who followed politics. The start of the movie was about as slow as I have ever seen and I almost walked out. Overall, it wasn't that great. I like James Gandolfini, but the relationship between the two hit men was not very believeable. I expected a better movie considering the actors involved, but honestly the promo for "Django" before the movie started was better than the entire "Killing them Softly" movie

    Dragged on

    by ffranky

The movie dragged on with pointless dialect, it could have been done in a 30 min tv slot. The acting was suberb which was one of the only reasons I rated it a 3/10

    Killing Me Softly

    by susjim

The individual acting and technical aspects (especially sounds) of the movie were good. Too bad there wasn't a storyline. A lotta self indulgence on Brad Pitts part.

    Not what I was expecting

    by

Slow, too artistic and heavy handed. Trying to make a statement but you're never quite sure what it is. Brad Pitt is good doing... whatever it is he's trying to do here. But overall not an enjoyable, enlightening or powerful movie.

    boring and slow

    HI,
I love mob movies and I don't mind violence. I thought the movie was boring (almost feel asleep) and I didn't care about the characters. Oh well...

A bit slow, and not what I had expected

Some of the cinematography was quite spectacular, and the dialog was very interesting at parts, but I had a hard time caring about any of the characters of the film, and the background running dialog of the 2008 mortgage crisis & election seemed forced and did not fit as well into the story line as was implied that it would.

A decent film, I almost gave it a "go" rating instead of so-so, but it really needed something more to draw a person in before I could recommend it.

    Killing Me Slowly

Boring and Stupid! I didn't realize Brad Pitt can't get A movies any more. We went because we figured it had to be good with him in it. But bad signs led to wrose expectations. Going to a moive with only a few attendees isn't a good sign. Watching some people leave and not return is another bad sign. I kept looking at my watch wondering when it was going to end. But we always hang in there in case it gets better. It never did. Suddenly it was over. Didn't make sense. Very slow and boring all through the movie. No more Brad Pitt movie for us. He's done.

    Horrible

    by jm22680

I'm sorry, I love Brad Pitt but this movie was very, very boring. I wouldn't see this again if they played it on TV for free. The sole and only thing I liked about the movie was the quote at the end. Other than that, nah, booo!

    Killing them softly

    by dardre

Three Words, "Hor ri ble"! My wife and I don't get to the movies much. Wanted to see something else but it was no longer playing. Decided to see this, seemed as if it would be good, reviews were positive, and I like Brad Pitt. My wife went to sleep midway through the movie, I had to force myself to stay awake, and the acting was mediocre at best. The ending was very disappointing. Two thumbs down! Descent graphics.

    Killing Them Softly

Well for one who is not a prude it was an SO-SO movie. Once is enough for this movie. You have to suspend your imagination other than that it's a bust!
