    Great Wahlberg!

    by

Mark Wahlberg did an outstanding job in this one. The movie had a great story and ended with good closure. Definitely a must see movie if you like a bit of suspense and action.

    Very intense

We really enjoyed the movie. The only big question remains how did the main character dumped the money in the water - he didn't have time and they didn't explain it after all - so that's a mystery. But overall it keeps you on a tippy toes.

    Good Movie

The movie was pretty good... some of the things that happened you do not get till the very end. It was a perfect ending not quite how a real situation would end so took off some points for that. Overall Great Movie.

    NON STOP ACTION

Loved the film; more action then Ghost Protocol and just as slightly unbelievable but it's a movie! We went to get away from it all for an hour or so and jump into other lives and places. It certainly succeeded in doing that. Who can think about anything when you're biting your nails through the many suspenseful moments. Great anticipation to see how our hero will figure his way out of the next predicament;. We were worried about how his family would fare with the bad guys and they are seriously bad. Mark Wahlberg is the real deal as an action star. A pleasure to see some other familiar faces, too. Clever surprise twists at the end. New Orleans was a terrific choice for filming. Music so enjoyable and a perfect fit. GO!

    Mark is hot!

I liked it. I looked forward to the story unfolding even though it was predictable. I could watch Wahlberg read the phone book and enjoy it.

Will Keep you on edge of your seat

I went to see this with my 17 yr old son. He said his fists were clinched through the whole movie and left feeling energized and stressed....very intense, but we like that! A lot of the "F" word and some vulgar connotations but not so many that I felt I had to leave the movie, and I don't care for that stuff at all,but like a good movie plot that keeps you guessing what will transpire next. It is violent since it involves major crimnals so don't take the small children or grandma if she's conservative. ;) But if you can tolerate the language, blood and ugly guys (except for Mark Wahlburg, of course) then definately must see it!

Slow at first, but speed picks up

In January, there aren't too many great choices of movies. With that being said, Contraband was one of the better choices. It was quite slow for the first hour, but the speed picked up and it was actually bearable by that point. The acting was good; the script was far-fetched. It is not a movie I have to see twice.

    Great Action, Story Moves

Don't look for a deep plot, this movie does great at what it's for...action, and plenty of it. Great action, good story, good performances, you won't look at your watch.

    Nothing original

This movie was ok. It is basically Gone in sixty seconds meets The Italian Job. Same premise as Gone in sixty seconds where you have Mark Walberg as the experienced but retired smuggler (just like nicholas cage) who has to come out of retirement to save little brother who botched a job and is going to be killed if the debt isn't paid. So Walberg has to get the old gang back together to help save the day. Italian job premise where you have betrayal by one of his own crew and then a far fetched plan that miraculously comes together in the end. Also Ed Norton and Ben Fosters' characters both receive same kind of street justice for their betrayal. Like i said nothing original but i guess i was entertained.

    Contraband Four Stars

    by jmobvw

The movie delivered, thrilling, suspensful and a twist! Mark and Kate played well together and she had a young stupid brother and he had a sleezy, dangerous best friend. It held my attention to the end both myself and my movie partner were held to the end. See it! Enjoy it!

    Contraband

Movie was good, language was a little rough, a few explosions would have been good, but would still recommed it to others. Also 4 mins of explaination at the end would have been better.
