The Odd Life of Timothy Green

    by

Excellant Movie, Disney Never lets us down. They could have set it up a little different because you kind of figure out the end by the way they start the movie. It is still worth the time and money and if you cannot get to see it at the theater definately rent it on DVD when it comes out. The younger kids under 10 may have a hard time grasping it.
    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Timothy Green

A good movie to take children 6 and older.

    by

The movie had a touching story and was inspiring to watch. It is probably a little slow moving for very small children to enjoy. A pleasant evening for the family.

A film that truly touches with Love, caring, support, compassion, laughter . . . without any violence, etc. A great, whimsical/fairy tale story. You will go home with a warm feeling in your heart.

    Charming but sappy

This charming little movie delves into metaphor in a way that I'm not used to seeing from Disney movies. Timothy comes to earth to help a struggling couple who cannot conceive a child. CJ Walsh is one of the most striking child actors around. Makes you realize how precious our time on the planet really is. It gets the waterworks going!

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

This is an absolute MUST see for anyone who is family oriented. The actors are so believable, especially the boy who plays Timothy. The story is moving and engrossing. Anyone who is or has ever been a parent, who has so wanted a child and could not have one or had to wait for a long time to have a child will relate to this story. Can't say enough good things about it! Go and ENJOY yourself.

    Odd life

This was a great movie that my 8 year old actually wanted to see, no guns, fighting or explosions, he really enjoyed it and so did I! A must see family film.

    Excellent

Not your typical Disney movie. Very sentimental and very philosophical. A real tear jerker but happy ending. People who expected a slapstick romp or a comedy left 2/3rds of the way through. Timothy is designed to be the kid every parent could love---a kid with a huge heart. Timothy is an accurate portrayal of a gifted child: some big talents yet some big flaws. Beautiful art, able to engage and motivate adults yet ignorant of some knowledge people presume all kids know---honest to a fault yet inspirational. A sharp contrast to the social climbing relatives who drill their kids mercilessly, brag about a gifted program at a school like it is a social badge and are basically dead inside. The agenda of the movie comes through pretty clear: to clearly show how the heart, soul, and talent of a truly gifted child comes from within and is not beat into them by pushy parents.

If you want an extremely heartwarming movie this is it. Shallow romp, look elsewhere.

    Timothy Green

Very cute movie. I went with a friend to preview it before taking my children. I really like it but don't think it is appropriate from you ger children. I am not sure why it was promoted as a movie for the entire family. It had some heavy subject matter and was very sad. Might be okay for 11 and over. Great chick flick.

    Parents take your tissues

This is a wonderful movie about being a parent and a kid. This movie will remind you of why we have children and work so hard to be parents. The action is fun and it kept all of us engaged the entire time. Our kids thought the ending was lame but I could have sat and cried for 10 minutes after the movie ended. Thank goodness for sunglasses when we walked out. ...oh, and have your tissues ready. :)

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

A little quirky but I cried through almost the entire thing. Although the whole coming about of Timothy was very strange the overall messages in the movie was one we all need to teach our kids, Definately a must see!

Review of The Odd Life of Timothy Green

    by cebmt

Beautiful movie, cinematography wise. Very sad, I cried (unusual for me). A bit "overstuffed" with side stories. The trouble at the pencil factory could have been left out, as well as the childhood disappointments with the grandfather.

Overall a good family movie, not so interesting for smaller children.
    I would rate it a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale.

    Thoughtful and entertaining movie

We loved it! Parents want the best but don't always do everything right. The movie is a bit fantastical, especially the part with the adoption agents, but I didn't look at my watch once.

    Ho hum

Don't bother to see this unless you have kids you want to take. It's a fairy tale in the grand Disney style. I do love Jennifer Garner though, and the children in it are darling.
