PaperMan: Beautiful Wreck-it-Ralph: Fun and Cute

First off, the short played before the movie, Paperman, is absolutely gorgeous. I am probably going to buy the movie so I can have that. Its a sweet little love story with beautiful style and lighting effects. As an animation student, this was my favorite part of the whole thing.

I've actually seen Wreck-it-Ralph twice, once with my boyfriend and friends from college, and the second time with my 12 year old sister.
The movie has lots of fun references to video games both old and new as well as some neat handling of the different graphics between the games.
Although the core story isn't something new, it still is done well and can be enjoyed by all ages. There are some parts that may seem frightening to very young children (especially in a loud theater) but are part of the peril and obstacles of the movie. A great movie for the family, fun date, or with friends.

    Surprisingly funny!

I admit, i was totally dreading this. First of all, I'm not and never was a gamer. I also have a generally (extremely) limited tolerance for Sarah Silverman. I do love John C. Reilly though, so I was bracing for a not entirely sucky, but not really good time.
Surprisingly and happily wrong! I really enjoyed this movie and so did my kids. Because I was never a gamer, a lot of the older game references would've been lost on me, but they were referenced in a context that made the jokes accessible to me and my elementary school aged kids.
I liked Sarah Silverman a lot in this, she was sharp and funny, Jane Lynch and John C. Reilly are good too, but Jack McBrayer steals the show as Fix It Felix. He is an absolute hoot, I get the honey glow just thinking about it.

    Wreck it Ralph

Fun for both kids as well as adults. The story was very well developed and much deeper than the fluff you usually see in animated movies.

    Wreck - It Ralph

As an adult, I found the show very entertaining, creative and clever. My six year-old grandson didn't find it funny. He sees a good number of children's movies, and this one didn't hold his attention. Maybe it was just a tad too "old" for him.

    Fantastic movie for all ages!

I went to this movie with my grandkids ~ even the 3 year old stayed interested throughout the entire movie!

This movie is not only a must-see, it's also a must-buy ~ My grandkids are definitely going to have this movie in their collections :)

It has a wonderful story, the characters are terrific, and it was interesting to adults as well as children.

    Loved it!

    Wonderfully written

    by

Wreck-it Ralph is another wonderful animated movie. After seeing it, I thought it was even better than Wall-E. The voice acting is amazing and the lines that are said are even better. This is a must see movie for all ages, if you're young, you'll laugh and love all of the images, and if you're old, you'll really appreciate all the references to old games. This movie is very well written and very well done.

Wreck it Ralph BUILDS an Amazing story!!!!

For those of you who remember Arcades, who still love arcades, you will find Wreck it Ralph to be an amazing adventure. The imagery is fantastic and scoops you up into the Candy Coated world of the Video Game Sugar Rush. Wreck it Ralph is the villain of a game where he always wrecks the buildings and Mr Fix it fixes it. Ralph hopes to become a hero and try to earn a medal after years of losing as the villain in his game. Game hopping is a big no no in the arcade, and it gets Ralph into trouble as he gamehops, getting caught up in a whilrwind adventure. This type of film reminds me of the hit Shrek, similar in quality story wise and imagery scene wise. From Ralph, The Candy King voiced by Alan Tudyck, to Venelope voiced by Sarah Silverman each character is amazingly done and has an interesting backstory. Highly recommended for kids and adults alike. You will become immersed in this world inside an arcade. And you'll never view an arcade the same again!

pixar & disney have another hit on their hands!

Even if you're not a gamer, you'll enjoy this movie. Lots of nostalgic characters make appearances and the voice casting was spot on! PIxar & Disney always develop such a great backstory for their characters, all while making sure the story grips you emotionally.

Without spoiling too much, both adults and kids will love the scenes in the "Sugar Rush" game with a nod to Katy Perry's "California Girls" video and lots of fun plot twists and turns.

The "Roger Rabbit" of the Video Game Generation

    by

While "Wreck-it Ralph" won't win any awards, nor will it probably be a classic for future generations, it achieves its purpose well: providing a non-stop adventure through the cords and bits of a video game universe filled with humor, emotion, and in-jokes for the moms and dads. If you know what the Konami code is, don't miss this film. And, if you know who Pac-man is, don't miss this film.

Kids: I took my four year-old to see it in non-3D, and that was a good choice. He was engaged through the whole film... but didn't leave excited. If you have a six to eleven year-old, it's probably right in the pocket for them, boy or girl.

    Wreck-It-Ralph for All Ages

Our group that saw Wreck-It-Ralph ranged in age from 6 to 64 years of age which included an 18 year old and a 13 year old. We all laughed and at moments, cried. Great movie for all!

Funny and Cool for the Kids, Nostalgic Moments for the Adults.

Lots of fun little touches in here, from the way the 8-bit characters moved to jokes about the newer characters being in high-def. The kids laughed, I laughed, and my son left wanting to put mentos in some diet coke again.
