    I feel ya, Ralph

    by NWCL123

Its an animated movie, folks. It is fun and flighty. It has some good messages, but is ... meant to be enjoyed. Go and enjoy it. You'll laugh, you'll roll your eyes, you'll groan. But, you'll probably enjoy it.

    Entertaining

The entire family (7 year old and 9 year old) all enjoyed Ralph. It was fun for the adults to try to identify all of the old school video game characters.

    very cute

A new take on Toy Story, only through the palate of arcade games. Very cute, super funny. Plus, having John Lasseter as the Exec. Producer didn't hurt! Totally go see it!

    Really enjoyed it!

Took my 8 year old son on opening night and it did not disappoint. Really fun to see all of the arcade characters I grew up with come to life, and they did a great job showing what life is like inside the machine world. Lots of good humor, interesting, likeable characters, and solid story line. I likely will see it again to be able to enjoy all the subtle things and characters I may have missed.

    Very cute

This one was very cute. My kids all really enjoyed it. My 4 year old actually sat through this movie and I didn't feel the need to bang my head on a wall. As a parent, this says a lot. I actually did enjoy this movie a lot and plan on buying it when it comes out to the stores. My older kids enjoyed it as well. I say it's a good family movie not just centered to one age of child. Overall: Great job.

Shut up and take my money

    by RPJesus

It's somewhat hard to discuss this film without some variation of spoilers, so suffice to say you should definitely see it. It was fantastic from the beautiful animated short before the film to the easter egg after the credits. It was packed to the brim with video game references and homages, providing an extra bonus to those of us who get them, but the film's plot is solid and enjoyable even to somebody who doesn't see what all the hype about "The Nintendo" is. To that end, all of the nods to gaming are organic and naturally woven into the film, rather than falling victim to the temptation to have a character shout "HEY GUYS, REMEMBER POKEMON?" every five minutes, as homage films sometimes do.

In short, why are you still reading this? Go see it now.

    Awesome!!!!!

    by

We live in Queens, NY and although our neighborhood didn't suffer as much as others during Hurricane Sandy, we still felt it and we are still proud New Yorkers. After a week of devastation on TV and feeling hopeless, we thought we'd do something fun. Wreck-It Ralph was a perfect escape!!! Such a fun, colorful movie!!! If you're a video game fan, past, present or both, you have to see this!!! Fun for the whole family!!!! We LOVED it!!!!

    WRECK IT RALPH

I loved the message that this film projected to young kids. I did find some scenes that may be too violent for smaller children. The graphics are popping and appear in brilliant colors. I would say this is a good film; but nowhere near the quality of a TANGLED or BRAVE. RALPH has its slow parts that come and go throughout the film; this makes it skip along and not flow smoothly. For children it's fine; but adults may find it rather a hodgepodge of unconnected scenes. With all that said I still think it would be a pleasant time at the movies with your children.

    Great Concept

    by werpnst

We took our two kids and two of their friends to see WIR. The concept was very funny and it was fun explaining to all of the kids the way video games appeared and were played in "the beginning". Very good family movie.

PaperMan: Beautiful Wreck-it-Ralph: Fun and Cute

First off, the short played before the movie, Paperman, is absolutely gorgeous. I am probably going to buy the movie so I can have that. Its a sweet little love story with beautiful style and lighting effects. As an animation student, this was my favorite part of the whole thing.

I've actually seen Wreck-it-Ralph twice, once with my boyfriend and friends from college, and the second time with my 12 year old sister.
The movie has lots of fun references to video games both old and new as well as some neat handling of the different graphics between the games.
Although the core story isn't something new, it still is done well and can be enjoyed by all ages. There are some parts that may seem frightening to very young children (especially in a loud theater) but are part of the peril and obstacles of the movie. A great movie for the family, fun date, or with friends.

Definitely worth the price of admission!

If you grew up with an original NES controller in your hand, or experienced the joy of toppling the residing "King of the Hill" on an original Street Fighter II cabinet at your local arcade, then this movie is a must-see for you! Storyline is great, little easter eggs and inside jokes are fantastic and the plot twist at the end will make you go "Ohhhhhhhhh!! No way!!"
Great job, Disney…may even contemplate a second viewing ;0)

    Worth seeing

The movie was worth seeing. The beginning was the best part. I enjoyed the large transit station full of old-school video game characters. I would have enjoyed more game-hopping rather than so much time in the Sugar Rush world. The twist in the story's villian was interesting, if a bit predictible. In the next movie installment of Wreck It Ralph, and there certainly will be one, perhaps Ralph could find true love rather than his Fix it buddy. Save your money and see the 2D version.
