H - E - (Double 'Hockey Sticks') Y - E - S !!!
True, I was there for the advent of "Pac-Man" and faithfully rode my bike to the arcade every chance I got to battle it out with my "besties" for a "Top Ten" score, but OH this movie took me back. In my mind's eye, I kept interchanging "Donkey Kong" and "Wreck-it-Ralph" but it was such an engaging story, I just went with it and enjoyed the ride. I wondered a few times if Seth Rogen was even alive when Pac-Man came out, then later found out John C. Reilly actually voiced "Ralph". I was pleasantly surprised! The story is well-plotted and lends vision to the age-old pondering of children, such as, "Could Superman beat up Mighty Mouse?" and "What if all the video game characters knew each other in real life?" Well, this film lets you take a journey down that very path. My personal favorite was at the "Bad-Anon" meeting when Ralph admitted he wanted to be "good" and Clyde (the orange ghost) turns into (the blue ghost on the run from Pac-Man). Ha ha - I loved it! Don't miss it! =)
