    less 3D disappointed

    by

I was really disappointed because this movie suppose to have 3D all the way, it was less 3D than I expected. Kinda went boring, It suppose to scare me like the other Chainsaw massacre I've seen. so far this movie really wasn't that good

    Not bad, but not great.

    by

The first 10 minutes are amazing.
Then it takes about 45 minutes for the next kill, you are here for a horror movie right?

Beautiful lead actress but again the killings were uncreative.

I do not want a story where leatherface is a character to be sympathized with. He is The Monster of our nightmares. Let him remain that. It didn't work well for Darth Vader. He used to be the ultimate bad-ass.

    LEATHERFACE!

So, Texas Chainsaw 3D. If you're an absolute TCM fanatic this film is a MUST SEE for the opening alone. I also have to add that the film is worth it if only for the cameos from the original. Other than that it's a nice stand-alone horror movie. This incarnation of Leatherface is the closest to the original than in any other TCM remake/spinoff, and even sports the original tie! There are a few good scares, but I'd like someone to explain how a character that was a baby in 1974 is so young in 2012. That's the only problem I had with this picture....
Would I see it again? Yes, but I think I can wait until a home viewing.

Watchable, does not break new ground

    by Djv05

Texas Chainsaw 3D was just okay, did not reinvent the series, and I don't see any benefits in sequels, it was just okay. 3D added nothing, no shocks or really interesting effects. It seemed like the editing actually hurt the movie, lacked coherence. A popcorn movie, nothing more...

Great Idea But Kills Not So Great

I really liked the story line but the kills were not anything to write home about. Some of the 3D effects were as dull as an old chainsaw blade.

    Texas Chainsaw 3D

    by

It was worth seeing, but I was a little disappointed. I love slasher flicks and the action was a little slow. I did like the twist to it though.

    change the cast

I really considered watching this movie until i saw the cast. How are you going to put feminine looking Trey Songz in a horror movie? Hollywood is really screwing up when it comes to casting actors and actresses worth watching. Im good of this movie, i will not be paying my money to watch this most likely pathetic of a shot at being scary flick. Just cause you can make ****** music doesnt give you the right to bore us with your ****** acting!!!!

    The movie is OKAY

This Texas Chainsaw was okay but go on matinee time to save yourself from paying $13.50 the movie was only good towards the end. The Texas Chainsaw with Jessica Biel is the best one. If you are expecting alot from this one then dont go. overall i will give it an 4.5 out of 10.

Scary movie lived up to it's genre

If you're like me and LOVE scary movies, this one is awesome because it takes advantage of the 3D aspect. Not only does it have a story, but it has stuff coming out at you, unlike some 3D movies like Titanic to say one. This movie made me want to scream (and I could have too, since i was the only one in the theater) because of the things that popped out and how Leatherface kept showing up at very unexpected times and doing what he does best. Althought they showed a typical day int he life of Leatherface in the beginning, they spiced it up for the rest of the movie.

Totally the best 3D scary movie i've ever been to.

    No, no, no.

If you can get passed the terrible acting, you might find the story line at least a little interesting. Of course, since it's a horror film, there has to be the pointless flusey female character that contributes absolutely nothing to the story line. If this movie were to come out in the 80s, then maybe it would've gotten better reviews. But the bar for horror films is a bit higher these days and this movie made a pathetic and failed attempt to reach that bar. They should've dropped this concept after Jessica Biel's version. I actually enjoyed that one. There was no time for character development, just a bunch of screaming. Please save your money.

    This movie.. amazed me.

This is the best Texas Chainsaw they have ever made. It kept me on the edge of my seat. There aren't really any big scares that will make you jump though.. It was extremely gory and really bloody. The ending was incredible. It was so sweet.
The beginning almost brought me to tears of being bored. For all of you out there saying you left after like ten minutes, give the movie a chance. It gets better. Way better.
The middle had me on the edge of my seat and covering my eyes.
The end brought me to tears of happiness and joy.
There is some major betrayal of Heather and one of the cops.
I agree with the fans who saw it in 3D. Don't waste your money on 3D, there are like no special effects what-so-ever.
DO NOT BRING THE KIDDIES, FOLKS.

    No Bueno

    by

I only saw this movie to see Trey Songz's acting debut. He did just okay but the script as a whole was terrible. The movie didn't have enough of a story line. The beginning was also weird. I almost walked out in the first 5 minutes. I would recommend seeing this movie at your nearest $1 theater in a few weeks. We also laughed more than anything so if you want a real horror flick don't see it. The 3d effect was also low. I gues it's just another way to raise the price.

    Fun horror ride

    by

Had a good time with this movie last night. Great follow-up that totally disregards all of the original sequels and the remake series. The beginning of the film takes place right as the original ends and then jumps ahead a couple of decades to make a well-rounded storyline. They take some interesting twists and turns with the plot to actually make a non-predictable story. More intelligent than it has a right to be. Some gory scenes, a few eyeroll moments, mostly unlikable characters, decent writing, good cinematography and a little extra 3D fun allowed me to enjoy it a lot but all those things mixed together didn't allow me to LOVE it. Good movie for fans of classic horror, casual viewers of the genre may not feel the same.

Best Movie In A While (Gory)

    by

I just seen this movie January 3, 2012 at 10pm at night in 3D. Dover, De. It was very gory and worth the money. I would suggest this to anyone that loves gory movies. The theather was packed since it was the first time showing and everyone was talking about it, in the middle of the movie like 7 people said "yo I'm tweeting this , movie is insane, and its awesome". After the movie everyone was saying what a great movie. :) a must see. Make sire you watch in in 3D to get the full experience.
