    Texas Chainsaw 3D

    by Glitzy

Very exciting and scary. Had me at the edge of my seat. I don't usually like to see these type of movies but I went with my family and felt some comfort knowing they were with me. They will be going back to see it again but not me. I think I'll stay home. Too creepy!

    3D was so good!!!

I seen this movie today in 3D and I really like this movie, especially the 3D it was amazing. So amazing I might go see it again. This movie kept me on edge, and it made me jump a few times. I would recommend this movie to all horror movie fans.

    change the cast

I really considered watching this movie until i saw the cast. How are you going to put feminine looking Trey Songz in a horror movie? Hollywood is really screwing up when it comes to casting actors and actresses worth watching. Im good of this movie, i will not be paying my money to watch this most likely pathetic of a shot at being scary flick. Just cause you can make ****** music doesnt give you the right to bore us with your ****** acting!!!!

    Worthy

    by

If you are a fan of real horror movies, then this is a must. Forget what you think you know about texas chainsaw massacre from the past. This movie is great and brings out the scare in all. Story line was by far the best of any seen.

    Chain yawn more like it

I love the original and sequel and really liked the remake. The rest I could take or leave. The only reason I entertained the thought of watching this one was for the 3D. There were a couple good scenes of 3D, but not enough to make me want to give this a positive review. None of the characters were likable. I did like how it picked up right after the original. I also liked the cameos from Gunnar and Bill from the originals. The story was so-so though. Long story short, I don't think I'd purchase this when it comes out even if it was on sale cheap. As a long time Chainsaw fan, this didn't impress me. But this is only my opinion. See it if you want, just keep your expectations low.

    less 3D disappointed

    by

I was really disappointed because this movie suppose to have 3D all the way, it was less 3D than I expected. Kinda went boring, It suppose to scare me like the other Chainsaw massacre I've seen. so far this movie really wasn't that good

    Surprisingly not terrible

    by jhs39

3D sequel to Texas Chainsaw (the 1974 original) is a little slow to get going but surprisingly fun once it does. The movie comes up with a fairly novel way to continue the story, has some decent gore and, most surprisingly, comes up with some good villains who aren't Leatherface. (Leatherface in this go round is as homicidal as ever but he's portrayed as a perpetually angry, mentally retarded 8 year old in a 6 foot 5 body, so he's slightly more sympathetic than in previous incarnations). This definitely isn't a classic but it's a respectable sequel to the Tobe Hooper original and easily the best movie in the franchise since part 2.

    Fun horror ride

    by

Had a good time with this movie last night. Great follow-up that totally disregards all of the original sequels and the remake series. The beginning of the film takes place right as the original ends and then jumps ahead a couple of decades to make a well-rounded storyline. They take some interesting twists and turns with the plot to actually make a non-predictable story. More intelligent than it has a right to be. Some gory scenes, a few eyeroll moments, mostly unlikable characters, decent writing, good cinematography and a little extra 3D fun allowed me to enjoy it a lot but all those things mixed together didn't allow me to LOVE it. Good movie for fans of classic horror, casual viewers of the genre may not feel the same.

    No, no, no.

If you can get passed the terrible acting, you might find the story line at least a little interesting. Of course, since it's a horror film, there has to be the pointless flusey female character that contributes absolutely nothing to the story line. If this movie were to come out in the 80s, then maybe it would've gotten better reviews. But the bar for horror films is a bit higher these days and this movie made a pathetic and failed attempt to reach that bar. They should've dropped this concept after Jessica Biel's version. I actually enjoyed that one. There was no time for character development, just a bunch of screaming. Please save your money.

Scary movie lived up to it's genre

If you're like me and LOVE scary movies, this one is awesome because it takes advantage of the 3D aspect. Not only does it have a story, but it has stuff coming out at you, unlike some 3D movies like Titanic to say one. This movie made me want to scream (and I could have too, since i was the only one in the theater) because of the things that popped out and how Leatherface kept showing up at very unexpected times and doing what he does best. Althought they showed a typical day int he life of Leatherface in the beginning, they spiced it up for the rest of the movie.

Totally the best 3D scary movie i've ever been to.

    The Darkside Looks Brighter

    by Nutt32

With all the prequels and different versions that have came out this one was quite good. I was expecting to be let down but they did a real good job of taking you back to the original movie. At first people in the theatre thought it was going to be shot in that old style of cinematography but it made a smooth transition into the sharp detail and quality of movies today we have come to expect. This movie had a good story and was actually somewhat believeable. I have to give the makers of this movie a hand. They did a good job and instead of ruining an already great movie franchise they added what is sure to be a classic. Also if you see this movie in 3D it is pretty cool. I am a fan of horror and I really enjoyed wathing this. If you are in the mood to have your girl grab your arm every few minutes then this is a must see. I loved it. The only reason I didn't rate it is a must go is becuase I save that for the movies that have no comparison in quaility.

    OMG!

    by

Wow. That movie was awesome. It was just me and 2 other kids there. I never saw the original version but after seeing the trailer I decided to go. I love horror moves and I must say this was extremely scary. Probably one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. Very bloody/gory and disturbing. I'll admit I was scared at certain points. This movie kept me excited from beginning to end. If you are a horror fan, I would highly suggest you see this movie. If you are a little kid, you won't survive until the end. You would def walk out.

Texas Chainsaw 3D. I was honestly expecting more gore...but truly this was more about a story than anything else. Heather, the cousin of our beloved Leatherface found her true family and feels for him and understands whats going on in his head. I truly hope there is another one showing their relationship. Fantastic movie. A MUST BUY when it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Great Idea But Kills Not So Great

I really liked the story line but the kills were not anything to write home about. Some of the 3D effects were as dull as an old chainsaw blade.
