    I have to say overall, if you enjoyed the previous movies...you will enjoy this one too....it is Alice doing what Alice does best...fun fighting and GREAT to see all the other cast members again. Overall I say a definate GO

    WHAT THE F@#K!

    Honestly, the resident evil series has been one of my favorites. The fourth movie started a nose dive, and this movie hit rock bottom. The animated shows at least had a plot.

    In this movie they got WAY to focused on the 3D factor so I felt like I was watching something for children. Yes, there was a little bit of blood and some monsters, but there was no suspense, back story, or anything that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

    They also completely removed the DARK themes of the resident evil series. The whole
    point of a post apocalyptic movie is to be a bit morbid and this one felt like watching
    Shawn of the Dead... accept it sucked.

    So if I were you I would complain as much as possible so that maybe they wont screw
    up so badly on the next one. DONT WASTE your money... I can promise this movie
    had nothing to do with anything, and you wont miss a thing.

    Not as bad as I expected it to be (I guess)

    Probably a rental if you are into the series. C- acting at best and a plot that makes no sense. It looks like they left an opening for another sequel.

    Very enjoyable movie

    This movie was just as I expected it. Storywise is pretty lame but the action sequences and visual effects, espcially in 3D was very good. Ofcourse seeing Milla Jovovich in 3D was a definite bonus. If are a fan of the Resident Evil movies then this sequel will not disappoint you. Its one of those fun movies to watch.

    Resident Evil Retribution

    I expected more, the film was in my opinion average. Acting was Sci-Fi- B movie standard and I suspect that was because of how the lines were written. Suggest PG 13 because of violence.

    A really good sequel.

    I'm more of a fan of the Resident Evil games and I didn't get into the films until 2010 with Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D which was amazing. Anyway this movie is an awesome sequel to it's predecessor and it keeps me entertained. I never saw it in 3D like I did the last one but It is still highly worth seeing in 2D. The actor who plays Leon S. Kennedy does a phenomenal job portraying my favorite character from the games and the lovely Sienna Guillory does a perfect job of playing Jill Valentine once again (last seen in Resident Evil: Apocalypse). Go see the movie and don't listen to fans of the game who can't open their minds.

    Boring

    Even though they are cheesy, I find the Resident Evil movies fun to watch. Retribution is a stinker. I was bored through the vast majority of the movie. The visuals were nice but even the fight scenes had me wanting a power nap.

    Excellent

    Pros - Great action, nice costumes, fast paced, great for those who doesn't like slow movies. Beautiful fight choreography.

    Cons - not much character connection or no character back story. Even just 30 sec to 1 minute would have been good. Not too sad when characters die off.

    But I do hope they will bring back my favorite characters from the past R.Evil movies as the good guys who will finally put an end to the Umbrella company.

    I'm really surprised that this movie isn't getting better ratings. I saw it last weekend and I LOVED it. I truly think it has been one of the best ones so far, and I hope they make another. It was awesome that they brought some of the more familiar video game characters into this movie, i.e. Ada Wong, Barry Burton, and Leon S. Kennedy.
    I couldn't help but laugh when I saw Leon on the screen for the first time. The jacket(if you played RE4, you'll know what I mean) was a nice touch.
    I would totally see this movie again. Great acting too!

    Resident Evil does not want to go

    Oh, NO! As the movie progressed I was thinking: Am I dumb or what? After I saw the previous issues I realized each was one of the most stupid movies I had ever seen and foreswore NEVER AGAIN! And yet, here I am wasting a couple of hours that I could have used better in any other endeavour. Worse! I truly believe that this is the most repetitious, over and over again, of any of the boring chapters of R.E. I am old and my memory starts to fail but I hope next time I will remember!

    Ugh... Not Good

    I'm a huge Sci-Fi fan, and I've enjoyed the previous Resident Evil movies. This one is not good. It's borderline silly with no real plot other than shoot and kill things. Don't pay to see it. Wait until it comes out on tv for free.

    Good

    It's a hero movie who just never spit blood.

    Anyway, I really love the fighting scene of the protagonist and her outfit. :) It's like matrix.

    Set your expectations and standards low, very low

    There was at least a solid 20 minutes of going back over the franchise to bring new watchers up to speed. By the end they had brought back old characters, defined the enemy, undid things that had been done, and basically set the franchise on a path to continue. They didn't do anything new yet struggled with writing an actual plot.
    If you are a fan of the series, you have to see it. If you aren't a fan, you really should skip this one in the theater.

    the movie was fantastic. If your a fan of the games ( especally resident evil 4 ) your gona love this movie. all in all the graphics where great and its a very thrilling movie. definatly in my top 10 now
