Bourne Legacy or Bourne get on with it already...

Movie as good, but trailers were more exciting than the movie itself. Ya, it explained more about the Bourne series, but come on already. Movie was good, but could have been better. Go if you are into super agent gets normal.

    Bland and unengagig

Spends too much time going over what Jason Bourne did and fails to give the audience sufficient reason to care about Renner's character and his quest for meds.

THe Bourne Legacy - Did the filmmakers just get tired....

I guess the film had to transisition from Jason Bourne to this new super-dude somehow but they took their time doing it - I enjoyed the film in as much as it sets up the next movie in the sequence however the characters need a bit more work and story needs a bit more depth. This contains (I think) the longest motorcycle chase scene known to man; either catch him, kill him or run into that post sooner mr. bad guy..... Also it appeared as though the filmmaker just got tired of movie making and just sort of stopped the movie showing our hero and heroine lounging on the deck of a tramp steamer leaving the Manilla with no apparant purpose.... I will go to the next one if no other reason than I want to see if the rustbucket sinks and how they miraculously survive...

    Build up then..

Action was awesome. The story was ok as it build up the characters. It got you all psyched for more as they, Aaron (and the Dr.) was being chased by Larx, then all of the sudden it felt that the movie seemed to have ubruptly ended. However, was the ending a hint for another?

    Great story!

They did a great job making the story relevant and not forcing the old plot. This is a great continuation of the Bourne movies with a new twist that will allow even more editions in the future. The acting is superb and it doesn't matter that Matt Damon is excluded from this part of the story. I'm looking forward to see what they plan for the next installment!

Boring movie - all been done before

Wish Matt Damon was in it. This movie was played loudly in the theatre to give you the impression that there was excitement - but the movie lacked suspense of any kind. A long bike chase does not a good movie make. Blah, skip it and spend tickets on something better.

    Very Disappointing

Had great expectations and was let down. Very slow from the start all the action that you expect is all seen in the trailer. The worst of all Bourne movies.

    "Bourne" Again

    by Hoser34

I thought Jeremy Renner, Edward Norton, and Rachel Weisz were terrific and because there were 3 different story lines going on that eventually tied together the body of the movie it had enough action sequences spaced throughout to hold the audience interest for the 2 hr 15 min running time. I am glad that Matt Damon was "replaced" by the fine actor and acting job that Jeremy Renner did throughout the movie.

    they could have done better

    by Boestie

just a so-so story, action scenes are nice but not special, but in earlier Bourne's tension in the plot was increasing while the story line came more and more clear. This is more a few nice action scenes molded together.

Not a Movie, a First Episode

This isn't really a fully self-contained movie. It's the first episode of something clearly designed to keep going for a long time. I left the theater thinking "I know what I'm going to be doing every 12 to 18 months for quite a long while".

The story and acting are decent, but the movie ends abruptly at the end of what seems like the prolog of a much, much longer story. It's not a good closure and the story is clearly just gearing up. Nothing at all is resolved. Maybe this is designed to be a trilogy - but much more likely it is designed to go on far longer than that.

Over all, intriguing but with too many unexplained bits, references to other things, other plot lines touched on but either not resolved or not even fully explored. The chase scene is too long and doesn't resolve anything. And then >-* Poof *-This isn't really a fully self-contained movie. Bourne Legacy

    by nsborad

Good action film. Lots of excitement, good stunts and special effects. Not too well related to other Bourne films but mentioned enough to tie in. Enhanced physical abilities and senses as a special person project plot but not up to the original.

    Bourne Legacy

Fantastic, action packed from start to finish. Jeremy Renner was great as Aaron Cross. Can't wait to see the next installment. Rachel Weisz was mesmerizing. I didn't even know it was her until the credits. It would be great to see he and Matt Damon collaborate on the next one. Now that one would be exciting. Ending left so much room for sequel...well done.

Easily the worst in the Bourne Series

    by

The previews mislead me into thinking that this would be a good movie. I loved all of the last 3 Jason Bourne movies. Acting wasn't the issue at all, it was the movie itself. What was the point in them mentioning at least twice that Jason Bourne was still alive and in NYC? What did that have to do with this movie at all? When Alan Cross met the other "bourne" guy, the guy acted like he was pissed off...why? why was he so secretive? What was the point? Alan was very skilled in fighting, why did they introduce the asian dude at the end, but they had no fight scene together? There's more that I didn't like, but, I don't feel like typing anymore. I just know, that most people in the crowded theatre that I was in, was also complaining a lot.

So-So explains it in a nutshell

It was an okay movie. The story line: Great. Action: Great (if you love action) I really liked the movie until maybe the last 20 minutes. I felt like it was pure chasing the action shot lasted forever and bored me to the point where the bathroom was more entertaining for me. I wouldn't buy this for myself, but I would by it for action lovers!
