A Good Stretch for a 4th Bourne Movie

Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz are great actors. They actually make the movie. The movie picks up after the last Bourne movie with Matt Damon. It is a bit of a stretch to keep things going in this vain. But it is all a setup for another movie. While this movie did have some decent action scenes, I sincerely hope the producers read all of the viewer quotes then strive to inject serious awe into the next production.

It's was an Intro to the return of Matt Damon

It didn't end well. Plus they brought in Treadstone leaders who were locked up in Bourne Ultimatum for life for the programs they were running. Plus according to Legacy, BrightBriar is still running which was exposed and destroyed by Jason Bourne and Pamela Landy. I think this was just an introduction to the next part of Bourne with Matt Damon.I will still love to buy and add to my Bourne Collection at home.

    Bourne Legacy

Not sure why the professional critics are panning this movie. If you go to a basketball game, you are going to see a basketball game. If you go to a "Bourne" movie, guess what? You are going to see intrigue, fast action, suspense, a hero and probably a heroine/girl friend. So--no surprise! This one has it all and will keep you on edge of your seat. Scary thing is, all the high tech stuff you see in the movie is believable and real. No major animations in play for most part. Jeremy Renner does a great job as does Weicz, the female lead.

    The Bourne Legacy

It is obvioius that this is a transition movie from the three originals. I enjoyed Jeremy Renner's character and the film did blend characters from the "Bourne Ultimatum" movie. This blend answered some questions but raised others. I left the theater wanting more. I hope this story continues and I look forward to the next film in the series.

    totally action packed!

I thought it started out confusing with the different plots and scenes going on, but it was very well put together, in my opinion. Very ACTION PACKED SCENES and wonderfully done. The only thing that I questioned was "how did he get a cutting knife on the plane to cut the transparent cover"? I really enjoyed it and I think it's a must see on a big screne.

    Serviceable Addition to the Series

While the plot of "The Bourne Legacy" takes place around the time of "The Bourne Ultimatum," in some ways it felt like a reboot of "The Bourne Identity." It was a good way to introduce the world to Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross character, and for us to care about him. Renner did a nice job taking over the reins, and he and Rachel Weisz shared great chemistry.

Edward Norton plays a familiar but solid villain, while Stacy Keach, Scott Glenn, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Albert Finney have short but important roles.

Here's hoping Matt Damon can be talked into returning to the series someday, but if not, Jeremy Renner can definitely pick up the reins.

    A Sequel is Bourne

I am a fan of the Bourne films and The Bourne Legacy doesn't disappoint. The storyline is intriguing. I want to know more and hope that the DVD will provide interesting edits. Are all scientists so "removed" from their projects? In the field, thinking is encouraged, questioning is not. However doesn't thinking lead to questioning? I think the film raises more questions than answers. So, a sequel is Bourne.

It had a slow start and didn't get exciting until about an hour into the movie. Ended better than it started. I loved the Bourne series, this one I liked!

It was worth seeing in the theatre

Overall a good movie, not as much action as the other Bourne series, but the dialog supported the movie fine. Although I would say NWIH that car could keep up with a motorcycle in Manilla traffic...

    The Bourne Legacy: D+

Just thinking about this movie makes me facepalm because, on the whole, it was a really solid. I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout and would have rated it the best Bourne since the original. The problem was the ending was comically bad; in fact, so much so that it's worth watching just to make fun of. Endings often make a movie but it's rare they turn a good movie into a horrible one. Yes it's that bad.....

What could have been a great movie, in a series that should have died 2 movies ago, was utterly ruined by one of the most stupefying endings to date.

    D+

    Bourne Legacy

Good...not great. Have to watch carefully to follow the story line. Helps if you have seen previous Bourne, but not necessary. Like the new characters. The motorcycle chase scene at the end was waaaay to long and unbelievable. Diminished the integrity of the rest of the movie.

    Bourne Legacy = Bourne GREAT

Jeremy Renner does and awesome job replacing Matt Damon in the new Bourne series. Right from the beginning you get the feeling that the man cannot be killed! You know right from the get go that wherever these rogue assasin's find themselves in the world, they simply cannot be killed! As usual the movie director does a great job going through different parts of the world to catch the intensity of the story. The movie is filled with beautiful scenes of Alaska to the Philipines. It lives up to all the hype of the first three and anyone who has enjoyed the first three movies will certainly want to watch this movie twice before it leaves a theatre near you!

    up-to-par

The movie has a lot of action and it's a pretty good plot, a little anti-climatic but a nice set up for the next movie. Gotta see if you a fan of the series!

It's a Redbox rental at best...

    by

Went to this even after reading some of the other reviews. Sadly, I should have listened. BL just doesn't live up to the Bourne franchise. Save your hard earned cash and rent it from Redbox.
