Entertaining as expected

I am a sucker for these kinds of movies & I was sort of unsure how the movie was going to be when they started showing previews to ******* twilight but it was a decent entertaining movie, what you would expect. I am not surprised that the critics don't love it because it's fairly predictable but it provided good value, especially for a cheaper early show on a sunday morning.

its a good movie, However the fight Scenes are on the edge. the story is a good one.
kinda "Rocky" like. Not for young kids because of the fight Scenes.

It's a Kevin James Movie

It's Kevin James. You know what to expect. If you like him, you'll like this movie--and he's so likable. Seriously, this is a humorous, clean, light-hearted movie, appropriate for older children and up. Predictable but fun story with enjoyable characters. Go see it.

A real surprise

I thought is would be a possible diversion from the stresses of life. I was amazed I was laughing out loud continually. A great feel good move.

Loved this movie. Rarely is there a movie where Biblical scripture is used as a positive. Normally movies portray the crazy, murderer quoting the Bible. Also loved the story of working hard and not dragging down others. Can not remember any profanity being used and loved that we will be able to take our children to see this now that we've seen it.

Here comes the Boom

Finally a good funny movie that the entire family can watch. The plot is predictable but it doesn't matter in this lighthearted comedy which proved to be well worth the price of admission. If your looking for a relaxing, fun movie on date nite this is just what your looking for.

Thru the ceiling...excellent funny clean feel good movie with lots of action too!! Highly recommend, KJ is excellent, as is Selma (and easy on the eyes too) and Henry Winkler. I would give it a 9 out of 10!!!

Although there were some inplausible holes in the story, it was a GOOD story. Nice to see the stress of improtance of music in our lives and what some educators will do to ensure the arts stay in school. Winkler was great! Also nice to see a movie with no sex or bad language.

Here comes the boom

The movie is about helping out a fellow colleague through non-traditional means but it worked.
This movie was absolutely hysterical! My son and daughter were literally on the edge of their seats with laughter. You have got to see this movie. Kevin James is at his best!

good family fun

Actually went to see this "on accident" had planed on seeing "Flight" with my wife and purchased tickets online. Then I read the reviews and knew my wife would not be interested. We swaped out the tickets for BOOM as it was starting about the same time. It was a good movie. It is a shame that only movies with lots of bad language and sex get good reviews from the pros. No this movie is not "Citizen Cain", but it good clean fun, reasonably funny with a good message. You can take kids of most ages as long as they won't be scared by the fighting.

Kevin James is in it? I'm in.

While Kevin James probably has a terrible track record with critics, his movies are pure embodiments of enjoyment. "Here Comes the Boom" starts a tad slow and has you, or it did me, shedding some water weight through your tear ducts at the end. This was one of the more uplifting films that really makes you feel good about things that one person can do. It's not especially well-made, but the characters are the important part and they nail it. James is his usual hilarious self, Henry Winkler continues his revival since being reawakened in "Arrested Development," and Salma Hayek, well, aside from being absolutely beautiful, she puts in a good performance as a spiritually-revived school nurse. There are others that fill in the cracks as well as cameos that MMA enthusiasts will enjoy. At the end of the movie I felt like I was watching Rocky with how invested I was in the fight and I loved it. You will leave this movie glad to have spent the money.

Really funny movie. We all liked it husband and 12 year old son also enjoyed it. There were alot of good scenes, that had me laughing out loud longer than ususal. I think everyone of the actors and actresses blended well together. There were a few predictable scenes. Dont want to give away anything. But Kevin James is so funny. I highly recommend seeing it!

Awesome movie, one of the best movies I have seen all year! Made me laugh, and cry. My 5yr. old asked me after the movies was over can we come back and see it again. Great movies for the whole family to see!

Go see it!

This was a funny and inspiring movie. I love Kevin James and he was perfect for this part. My husband and 15 year old girl and 12 year old boy all wanted to go see Taken 2, but I already had the tickets for this. They all went in reluctantly, but came out happy to have seen it. They all laughed out loud in several parts. It was a lot of fun.

BOOM! Kevin James get a Knockout

Not been a Kevin James fan. He's funny, but its always the same character. And it starts that way here. But in 'Here Comes the Boon', he actually gets to grow as a character. He becomes someone, who while still flawed, grows to be a person to admire.

The MMA scenes came across as realistic and spontaneous. I'm sure they rehearsed them to death and Mr. James was pretty much never getting hit as hard as it looked, but I was totally engrossed.

The fighting characters made laugh and care. The school folks and the students were great. Good to see Henry Winkler back. A smaller role, but he pulled it off wonderfully.

Surprise movie of the year for me and I will be buying this one for the library.
