People may be hesitant to see this movie because it stars Barbra Streisand, but go see it! It's very funny and delivers on what it says it will give. It's a light hearted comedy about a Jewish mother and son, which should make you laugh just thinking about it. Obviously this movie isn't going to win any oscars or awards, but it's very cute and worth seeing.

Perfect Take Me Away!! Loved every minute of it!

Very touching and very funny.

I went with little expectations and found it to be perfectly hilarious!

Barbara Streisand was awesome in it! Unbelevably so! Seth Rogen was great as well. I'm sure to pull of few of his scenes was suprisingly hard to do. ..

All around I loved it and I actually want to see it again!! And I cannot remember when I have ever said that before (15 years ago maybe?)

Funny and light Maybe you have to be Jewish or Italian to laugh

If your looking for action pack this is not the movie. But it is funny, in a nice way. I went with my 25 year old son ( he treated me) and we both laughed through out the movie. It reminded us both about our own relationship, almost like they took a page out of our book. Maybe that is why it does not appeal to everyone, because it is more specific to that theme of relationship. But honestly, we both laughed a lot. Go see it if you had a close relationship with your mother or one with your sons.

Not what i expected

The fact that Barbara Streisand and Seth Rogen play in a movie and there not be some sort of Jewish guilt going is beyond me. There were some funny parts but not as funny as id wished. Waiting for Seth to get nother knocked up knock out.

Laughed so hard

MUST MUST SEE. This movie is so real. Such a real life, real dialog movie. I went with my husband and 22 year old son. They both LOVED it. Especially my son, he kept saying, OH MY GOD, Thats you!!! see, its not just me, its every great mother out there.
Then I cried. I cried because I knew the hurt she felt, I felt that hurt and it felt real. Then I laughed again.
Please, see this movie. Two great actors. Couldnt have been better. Loved the ending, wont say why but it was great.
Great great great.
If you cant identify with this movie, you are doing something wrong.
Not a kids movie (under 12) , they just wouldnt get it. Finally, an adult movie that is fun and doesnt involve action figures

Good-ish story line, horrible acting

The entire time I was watching the movie I was hoping to watch something better than the trailer I saw earlier that day. I was very disappointed with the acting and production of this movie, It could have been a fantastic movie, but I was honestly bored watching it.

Disappointed

Guess I was expecting more from Barbra Streisand. Very slow in the beginning. There were some parts that were very funny others I sat and wondered. Huh? Be sure to stay for the credits. There are some good out takes and scenes cut that happen to be some of the best part of his film. If there are other movies out there you'd rather see, by pass this one and wait until it comes on cable!

Not really a comedy

Listed as a comedy, I did not laugh out loud once. I laughed more at the preview of other movies!!! Entertaining movie about the adventures of a son and his Mom on a long road trip. The mother/son exchanges may make some feel uncomfortable. As always, there's a happy ending (but not the one you expected). Wait to watch this one on TV.

Cute movie but nothing new here. Both Streisand and Rogen play typical roles as over-involved mother and out of touch son. They both have their ah-ha moment and the movie has a sweet ending. I would wait to see this one on your TV :)

Guilt Trip Baggage

Guilt Trip - Though it could have been pulled over for going too slow in the the fast lane, there were some sweet and funny off ramps in this mother/son road trip comedy. While Streisand provided motherly advice like a rapid fire paint gun, Seth Rogen provided his standard, but entertaining, annoyed teddy bear performance. It was enjoyable, but on the Pleaz the Sweaz scale I could have waited to pay the toll at Red Box.

Better Than You Think

This is a sweet and funny movie that will warm you up. Seth Rogan fans will recognize and like his grown up character and the chemistry with Barbra Streisand seems genuine and well done. The plot is somewhat familiar because this is a road trip, but there are some twists that make this a more grown up version.

There are laughs and some tears, but overall I rate this as a comedy well-done. I enjoyed it a lot and the audience seemed to agree as there were many laughs heard throughout the theater.

Lots of movies out at this time of year, but this one will really fit the season.

Thoughts ON Guilt Trip

It was a great movie!! It was realistic and makes you think about life and what's important. I love the ending where it left you hanging making it wonder what's is in store and what is going to happen. Maybe even going on the making The Guilt Trip 2 someday. It was so hilareous as well!! It was a Really good Movie!!

A pleasant surprise.

I wasn't sure just how much I would enjoy this movie, but I was pleased with the overall acting and story line. There were times when I genuinely laughed out loud. My buddy enjoyed it as well. I would not recommend it as a family movie, but it should be appropriate for most teens.
Be sure to stay for the short clips at the end of the movie...they are REALLY funny.

The only thing good about it was it's length--90 minutes. Don't waste your money. The story plot was weak and the story line quickly got old.
