    Yay for Barbra!

I absolutely love Barbra Streisand, and I have seen every one of her movies.

This was so very enjoyable, and believable ~ she makes a wonderful Mother :) And Seth Rogen fit amazingly well as her son.

This movie was very touching in parts and also hilarious in parts, as it explored the dimensions of the Mother-Son relationship.

Barbra is always fantastic and beautiful, and she still looks great! Thank you for bringing her back to the movies!

A Funny comedy that is great to watch anytime

I was looking foward to this movie ever since I saw the trailer at Taken 2, but I wasn't excepting this at all. A perfect mother/son movie that will make everyone in the theater, if there wasn't just 4 people in the audience including me and my mom.Seth Rogen tries his best with his character and for PG-13 rated humor but also fails half the time with his jokes. Barbra Striesand is the movies big star and will always be a great comedy to me. Don't be fooled by the trailers great sense of hilarity because it also has some dramatic parts. All and all a great comedy that will be great for anyone over the age of 12. See it or buy it on DVD

    The Guilt Trip

We really liked it. Surprised only 7 people in the theater...it was a 4:15 show.
No killing, no bombing, no fires, no violence...hard to find these days.

    Emotions

As the mother of 2 grown sons, I totally related to the story line. I laughed out loud during much of the movie. THEN, came the sentimental parts.......I was moved almost to tears, which did actually come at the end. I was very moved by the story. I think both main characters were phenomenal in their portrayals.

    Seth----no talent looser.

Why does anyone give this Seth looser any acting jobs? He thinks entertainment is being foulmouthed and crude. He is an embarrassment to real actors. Seth you do not belong in front of the cameras! ------------ Hollywood ditch this clown. --------------

    Guilt Trip

Shoot the writers. Inane dialogue. Fairly good concept ripped asunder by dialogue any lame-o could have written. Hard to comment on the acting as there really wasn't any by the two stars. Rogan never got a chance to strut his stuff playing the straight man to Barbara being Barbara. What the hell was I doing there? Wife.
Guys, take your Barbara loving wife and pretend to like this. Then go home and claim your reward...........

    Guilt Trip

    by

I liked the movie overall but I think more because of the relatability factor than the acting. I'm surprised that Barbara did not provide a better performance but I was satisfied with Seth Rogan's performance. Also, the script seemed forced and most of the of the good parts were wasted on previews therefore making the movie lackluster in it's appeal.

    The Guilt Trip

Very long & boring. The end had one sentence that made me smile. My husband fell asleep though & did not see it.

A nice film with amusing humour throughout. :O)

    by

This was a truly ENTERTAINING and engaging road trip kind of film, that has a truly significant lesson or two in the end, no literally it does. Also if you are a fan of Babs and / or her cute, pudgy side kick/SON, all the more enjoyable. I am a fan of both so... I was not sorry I went to see this one.

A MOTHER/SON ROAD TRIP RESULTING IN HEALING THEIR TENUOUS RELATIONSHIP.

If only this interminable road trip would have just covered the state of New Jersey instead of an eight day jaunt from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean; tedium reigns, with intermittent levity. A mother/son "Joyce" and "Andy" (Barbra Streisand/Seth Rogen) bond over predictable quips and tons of shtick; weary of the overbearing stereotype of the smothering "Jewish Mother" and the smothered, pampered boy (who is approaching forty); Jewish mothers do not have a monopoly on suffocation of their progeny. Avoiding blatant heavy-handedness, religion is never addressed in "The Guilt Trip"...

Streisand and Rogen, also producers, have chemistry and save the scenario from topping (or toppling) the saccharine scale; their histrionics realistic, salvaging, placating their emotional commitment...

    TWO & 1/2 STARS!!
