    I personally liked this a lot

    I liked this movie. I had a little bit of an idea about what it was gonna be about or like before i went to see it. I thought things started slow and kinda dragged along for the first little bit. Once I feel it picked up & I could see things coming tougher it became fun to watch.
    Not a scary alien movie, not a crazy action movie, just a good story movie that kinda go's along. I liked the acting and how everything was kinda matrix like and calm except a few parts. Seeing Saoirse Ronan in a lead role other than Hanna. Cant wait to see her in more movies.
    I liked the score, the settings, the vibe, the feeling, the message, & the coolness of the movie. I recommend it but, it's not gonna be for everyone. I hope you who see it enjoy it like i did.

    LOVE

    I loved this movie it was so good im so excited for the sequals to come out ahhh! I really enjoyed this sucha nice story for this generation to hear.

    Good Movie

    It's been a few years since I read the book when it first came out so I don't have all the details fresh in my head but what I can remember I thought they stayed pretty close to the book. The only thing I didn't like in the movie was the actress Emily Browning who plays Wanda at the end of the movie. The book said she had red hair and freckles. This girl looks like a duck and is not cute in any way! Bad job on casting I think! The rest of the movie I felt was pretty cool. the acting was good.

    The Host was well done

    As usual there were parts different from the book, but it was well done. The relationships were what made the movie and book special. That even in another person's body another person's qualities can stand out. It was definitly something I wil buy when it comes on on dvd.

    It Was Good

    I really enjoyed the story, and how it played out. I liked everything about it, it made you laugh, cry, hate, love and more. I really recommend it. But if you don't know the book it maybe a little hard to understand, or get into.

    An enjoyable afternoon

    I read the book, loved it and couldn't wait to see the movie. I enjoyed the movie and left the theater feeling refreshed instead of traumatized. If you like movies full of destruction, violence and explosions, this movie is not for you. It is more of an intellectual thriller with a little humor woven in. My tween grandchild also gave it a huge thumbs up.

    Better than I expected

    Before I went I made the mistake of reading the reviews, but I usually don't take the reviews seriously (since some of my most favorite movies are rated very poorly). I was very please with the Host. Unlike the Twilight serious the acting was very good and they did a great job with following the book. I think that for those who have read the book it is worth going, but if you haven't then it might be worth waiting for redbox. I'm pleased that I went to the theaters to watch this. WIth all of the disapointing movies coming out lately, this was very refreshing.

    Must See !!!

    I've not read the book, Yet, but I just loved, loved the movie. Read other reviews, and it says it follows the book, so I'm great for that! I really enjoyed it. Actors were good. It had its funny comments/moments. Got see it! You won't be disappointed. And Love triangle. I will go see it again! :)

    The Host

    yes, Stephanie did it again. I like movies that are different and you can't predict. This was very interesting concept and it wouldn't be perfect without a love story and twist. My roomie, "tough guy" went and cried, it was sweet. Enjoy! GO

    really bad!

    A lot of this movie seemed like a joke with the girl talking to herself and her hand getting out of control. I think I saw an old comedy routine like this. The acting was bad . . .we ended up leaving and going to another movie. Don't waste your money, wait til it's on tv and then you can text and tweet when you get bored, lol.

    The book was better

    I loved the book and had high hopes for the movie... Sadly, lots of the scenes weren't as "epic" as I thought they were going to be. I still liked the movie because I loved the book and when and if the other book/movie comes out I'm sure I'll be reading/watching those too.

    Entertaining

    A decent movie to burn 2 hours in. Not a really fast paced movie and is completely different than the book. If you only like shoot-em-up's don't waste your time. If you enjoy a decent story, give it a shot.

    It was OK but just not the right book to be brought to the screen

    I read the book several years ago and did not care for it particularly. When I heard it was to be brought to the screen I was surprised this particular book would be chosen. A book that so much takes place in thoughts rather than words just didn't sound promising. I went because I am a big fan of Max Irons and Jake Abel and hoped to see they had gotten roles in a great movie. They were worth seeing it for but wish they had been in it more. The whole small male cast was good. The problem with the two entities in the same body was as much a problem as I thought it would be. Confusing at times. It wasn't a bad movie but other than the actors I did not enjoy the story. The humor that was brought into it at times was a bit out of place but it made me smile. I did get teary toward the end with Wanda and Melanie so it did make me care.

    The Host

    It wasn't what I was expecting for an alien movie and My eyes were actually watery near the end. I heard one man coming out from the show saying it was sappy. It was in a way sappy but I like this sappy movie!

    The Host is a well directed movie. I loved the book and the movie stayed fairly close to the book which pleased me. The cast was perfectly chosen, they all played their parts very well. This is a must see movie!
