    It was okay

Overall the movie was okay - there was room left at the end for a sequel. I was seriously disappointed about some character decisions that they made. Some things just did not make sense.

    WHAT A MESS

Movie had me wanting to get up and ninja jump over the old couple next to me just to get the hell out of the theater but i didn't and things only got worse . a waste of space on Bruce and Dewayne's filmography.

Much better than the first one!

The new addition the to the G.I. Joe franchise, "Retaliation", is seriously an improvement from the first film. No later than 1 minute into the film, we're invited into an action packed battle to secure an enemy facility. From there on the story only gets more intense! "The Rock" adds a whole new level of macho to the franchise all the while showing that he is not your average soldier. He is a hard-tested Joe! The story continues off as a sequel from the original G.I. Joe movie released back in 2009, and only takes a step up in the area of action, a well as adventure. From the deserts of the middle east to the front steps of our nation's capitol, G.I. Joe offers action packed gunslinger scenes combined with next-gen technology and old fashioned ninja duels that will have you gripping the arm rests on your seat. It provides enough action and "sexual reference" to keep the adults happy and enough comical and hero-like role-model-ism to keep the teens asking for more of our past-favorites

    G.I Joe: Retaliation

Went to this movie with my Husband for our 1 year wedding Anniv. yesterday. It was awesome! Great movie for both men and women (and not just for the hot guys in it!) Lol. Very great movie. Great acting and always kept us interested. Would see again!

    Great Fun!

My husband and I took our 11-year old and 14-year old grandsons to see this movie. We ALL thought it was great! I read some of the other reviews and can't believe that ANYone would not have fun watching this movie. I will say that I got a little confused about WHO was on WHICH side, but the action, stunts and special effects were plentiful and definitely kept my interest. Good movie for ages 8+ in my opinion.

    Decent action flick for RENTAL

    by ThaWulf

This movie would make a decent rental, not so much for owning or seeing in theaters. The film leads you along by the hand, spoon feeding you the sorry excuse of a plot one explosion at a time. The action sequences have lots of explosions and gunfire, but always end anticlimactically. They will have an epic "boss" fight, then end it all of a sudden with a sucker punch to the face. Didn't expect much from this movie and was still slightly disappointed. Rent it later if you're bored and want to see Bruce Willis kick ass. Otherwise stay far far away.

    disappointed

well im not sure if everyone agrees but i will say that i was just disappointed by this movie. not gonna lie, my expectations were a little high given how well the last movie did and also how they made us wait an extra year for it. but the story was just all over the place and the holes are too many to count. not a bad cast, but needed more consistentcy to the plot and they really shouldnt have advertised Duke as much as they did, not even in the movie that long. it was an ok movie at best.

    Not Worth It

I did not leave the movie with a good feeling... kind of 'meh...' I would have rather watched GI the movie (cartoon version) from the 80s; I definitely would have been excited! Don't waste your money on this movie; rent it...

    Great Spring Action Movie!

Retaliation continues where the last GI JOE movie left off, but with a new cast to keep things fresh. The story is pretty simple, but GI JOE is mainly an action movie plain and simple. It does just that and entertains greatly at every angle. It's great for everyone, bring the kids!

    G.I. GO!!!

I took my 15 year old daughter to see this movie...with Channing Tatum being the obvious draw for her. I love these kinds of movies: lots of male bravado, explosions, and good guys winning. I was surprised to find ninjas in the story, but that is probably because didn't see the previous movie. It did not disappoint! Great movie for just sitting back and being entertained.
PS - The G.I. Jaye character was strong and believable. She definitely pulled her own weight in the movie!

    Lots of Explosions

If I didn't have an 18-year-old grandson, whom I took, I probably wouldn't have seen G.I. Joe. That said, however, I've seen worse movies.

SPOILER ALERT: If I'd known that Duke (Tatum Channing) would get killed off early in, I probably wouldn't have gone at all!

    GI Go See

    by

If you are like me and just need to see an action movie every now and then, this will work. Is it the best movie of the year . . . no . . . is it a good, keep your interest action flick. YES! The Rock is becoming a darn fine actor. The dynamic between Rock and Tatum was great . . too bad . . .

    Freakin Bad@ass!!!!

Ten times better then the previous one that just sucked all over the place. Much better action and realism. Not totally overboard. The Rock and Willis did an awesome job.

For all you negative Nanny's...you have NO clue what your talking about. If you saw the previews that should have told you it was going to suck and you wouldn't have wasted your money. Morons.

    For one scene

There is a fight scene that is clearly taken from Cirque du Soleil's Ka. This is the mountain side scene and it is absolutely brilliant, worth the price of the film. As a whole, not the greatest, but that one scene was top drawer.

MediaTsarina Finally saw GI Joe 2 last night. Am I wrong in thinking that Daft Punk cribbed their style from Snake Eyes? How did no one notice this?
