    Don't Bother Seeing This Move

    by cbbm

Just got back from watching part of "Movie 43", and I cannot warn people strongly enough to stay away from this steaming pile.

We left after 15 minutes, which was 14 minutes and 30 seconds longer than I wanted to stay. It was as if a fourth grader who had discovered scatological humor and swear words in the same week wrote a movie and somehow convinced a bunch of A-list stars to be in it. Calling this thing sophomoric is unfair to the whole sophomoric film genre. This movie makes Porky's look like a meeting of the Algonquin Round table. In other words - it's not good.

All I can say is if I could have rated this HELL NO!! I would have. Waste of time, money and talented actors. Not even Redbox worthy.

    so upsetting

this movie is ridiculously bad. if movies weren't so expensive, i would have left and asked for a refund. the funniest skits are ones that you saw previews for, otherwise they are dumb and childish.

    Movie 43

    by

Aside, from the acting of Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet, not much is funny in Movie 43. Oh, Terrance Howard as a basketball coach is very funny when he tries get his team up; they?re playing an all white team - final score is 113 - 1. So, I wouldn?t recommend it.

    Aims to be disgusting...and succeeds

    by pedsarq

The framework is essentially a pitch for a movie by an absolute sociopath played by Dennis Quaid. He holds a movie executive at gun-point and forces him to listen to his idea for a movie that can only be described as nonsensical. Most of the movie is spent producing the scenes from this nonsense and it's truly terrible material. For example, Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman play characters who go on a blind date and all appears too good to be true until Jackman takes off his scarf and reveals that he has a ******* hanging from his neck. The rest of the scene focuses around the awkward moments in a restaurant where Winslet's character is the only one shocked by this freakish deformity. It only gets worse from that point on, but I think that gives you a picture of the tone of the film and the ridiculous nature of the plot. The chance of you waling out are very high. I did.

    Just say NO!!!!

My 3-Word Movie Review for "Movie 43:" Oh.HELL.NO!!!!

Unless you've heard about, and have a (very) morbid curiosity to see Hugh Jackman on a blind date with Kate Winslet, who is horrified when he takes his scarf off his neck and reveals a pair of large hanging (from said neck) testicles. Perhaps Ana Faris begging her boyfriend (Chris Pratt) to show his love by "pooping" on her? No? Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber as home-schooling parents who attempt to give their only son all of the humilities and discomfort he would experience in high school. Including his first clumsy kiss, - in a make out session with his mom....there's way too many more to relive, as I'm just now trying to wipe this debacle from my brain....Many things to offend everyone. You might laugh in the first 15 minutes, behind your hand, embarrassed. Then it's a sharp descent that just keeps on going down, down, down into the bowels of inappropriateness.

    Worst movie EVER!!!

Disgusting, lower order, 9 year old boy humor. I don't know how they got those stars to participate in that level of putrid ****.
We walked out and would like our money back.

    Movie 43

    by jsip59

The fact that there were only ten people sitting in the projection room when we arrived -- LATE -- should have been a huge red flag.
    Absolutely appalling!

I think you either love it or hate it....

Movie 43 was funny... really funny in parts, so funny in fact that at one point I spit a raisinette across the theater. This movie is like a series of SNL shorts that went so over the top they had to move them to the big screen. Just like SNL shorts, they are either a hit or a miss and their accuracy really depends on your type of humor. Very cleaver and interesting concept, not sure how it actually got pitched and made it to film, but I think overall the experiment will last as a cult hit.

    Absolutely the worst movie ever

    by serge

I have never seen and heard the movie crowd so disappointed with the movie. Some people left after just 20 minutes. We stayed hoping for at least some entertainment. It was vulgar, not funny at all, full of random scenes and really making no sense at all. And we're not talking about an unsophisticated crowd. We're talking about Upper West side in Manhattan where the crowds are diverse and are used to all types of movies. How could so many fine actors agree to be in this film? Simply unbelievable...

    Awful

This movie was awful. It was disgusting. There was incest in the story. I have not seen a movie this bad since Year One. Blood everywhere. I'm angry. I wanted it to just be over and when it was all I was left feeling was upset at this absurd movie. I did laugh a few times. Halle Berry blowing out the candles was funny but that was in the trailer. I wanted my money back. It was awful.

    Gross!!!

I am absolutely sure that this movie was aimed at 13 year old boys. There were so many gross jokes in the movie I think I had a constant grimace on my face. There are funny (stupid funny) skits, but the funny was overshadowed by GROSS!

    I loved it!

    by

Basically the movie was made for those with a sense of humor, who dont get easily offended and arent big pussies! Dont listen to these little tight virgin vaginas. They'd get offended if I said SATAN outta the blue. Theres no sensible plot but lots of AWESOME humor that im sure the actors and actresses had fun being a part of. But its definitely not a date movie, OH AND AGAIN ***&^ ALL YOU LITTLE WHINEY BITCHES WHO DONT LIKE PEOPLE HAVING FUN. OR MAKING FUN, OR DOING SOME FUNNY GROSS ****!!!!!

I left and got my money back.

    by 2kimann

Do not waste one penny or more importantly, one minute of your life on this unwatchable movie. It's a bunch of b-list or washed up actors counting on our stupidity and willingness to watch any piece of garbage they put out. Dennis Quaid....so old he's disturbing to look at. Jason Sudakis.....fat, and NOT in a cute fat way, and who are the others? Oh, Emma Stone, shame? on you, and shame on any parent who takes a child to see this movie! If I had laughed one time I would not have asked for my money back and left, but, alas, no such luck.
