I went for because I thought it was a thriller and turned out to be a cheesy suspenseful movie. Not really anything scary, could've waited to see it. Critics were right this time.

    ok movie

Not as thrilling as I expected. A few scares but much more. The surprise was interesting but then also the very last part left a few questions.

    It's exactly what you expect

No surprises here, unfortunately. I wanted to be thrilled.. instead, you pretty much figure it out early on, then you have to sit through the rest of the movie. I really wanted to love this one, but I didn't.

    Not good

It wasn't a bad story or twist, just everything about the movie was done poorly. The filming, editing, cinematography, dialogue, script, just every single aspect of the movie was bad. Given a competent filmmaker and screenwriter it wouldn't have been half bad. As-is it is a very avoidable movie. Do not pay theater money to see this!!

    Unique

    by

I haven't seen a thriller move in years. I liked this one because it wasn't gory, and it wasn't evil. Just a good, suspenseful movie with typical psychos! ;)

House at the End of the Street - 4/5 Stars

House at the End of the Street is a horror-thriller film with an underlying love story. The movie itself was rather slow and fairly predictable or at least appeared that way right to end!

Jennifer Lawrence and Max Thieriot both did well with their roles and seemed to have a natural chemistry, while Elisabeth Shue and Gil Bellows struggled.

I give this movie 4/5 stars and recommend it for ages 13 and up.

    disappointing

Not worth it. I expected something better. In my opinion, it sucked. It seemed like a cheap remake of many other psycho next door movies. It's a movie that should be on Lifetime, not theaters.

House at the end of the street

It was a good movie but it didn't turn out to be like the previews make you think it was. It portrayed it to be this big scary edge of your seat freaky movie. It had some good suspense moments and there were some good parts where you were on the edge of your seat too, and even some times where you were trying to figure out stuff. But all in all, kinda disappointed. Probably won't watch it again....

A THRILL RIDE FROM BEGINNING TO END!!!

    by KDT

We went into this movie thinking it was gonna be another one of those horror movies that would scare the stuff out of us, but it was more of a thriller than anything which in our opinion made it work very well, this movie is very good, and very well done, it scared us at the right moments and had us in shock from a huge plot twist that we wouldn't have expected at all, it was a very intense, very scary , and very much of a thrill ride, this movie is not a must see but it definetly gets two thumbs up we give it an 8 and half or 9 out of 10!!!

House at the End of The Street

    by Pat55

Loved it. I love spooky movies anyway, so I am already geared to be jumping all over my seat, or close to it. This was good.

    disappointed

    by falauri

Why is it to much to ask to get your money's worth to go and see a decent horror movie? I walked away not really understanding the ending. The only scenes that scared you at all was when the girl from basement jumping out with loud music. I was surprised Elizabeth Shue appearred in this movie. The Ryan character acter was not convincing at all, not great acting. And if I had to see another close up with Elissa character, I was going to scream. Come on, use some creativity. Dont waste your money. I wish another movie like "what lies beneath" would be released! Now that was good, scary, edge of your seat suspenseful, and what a real horror movie is what its all about.

    It was good.

    by

I thought it was good. It was suspensful. It was really confusing at some parts. Most scary movies are like that. It was a good scary movie. The acting was good. It was good. Not all of it was scary. It wasnt one scary thing after another. That was good. I liked the plot. It was different.
