    Chilling tale!!

    by

If you love psychological thrillers with a twist, you will love this tale that starts out like every other scary movie with a new girl moving to the block. It soon changes...and you will find yourself questioning peoples' motives...great ending!! I jumped multiple times (great cinematography) and I screamed twice...be prepared to have your hairs stand on end!

    Don't go down this street

Boring, stupid, its a horror movie that has nothing horrible happen in it. I walked out. I couldn't take it. I haven't walked out of a movie in a such a long time. But this one is just a waste of time.

    Very Boring Beginning....But Gets Good

My husband & I almost walked out of the movie because the beginning was so slow and seemed to be the same plot of a bunch of movies we had already seen. I'm glad we didn't leave because there was a great twist and I really ended up enjoying the movie in the end. The beginning really lags, but then it gets better.

    Surprisingly good

Not one for "scary" or horror flicks, I went with friends anyway. I was surprised to find that there was NO gore(which is what I hate about most scary movies)..you never really saw much of what was happening, but you knew it was going on...very suspenseful, with plenty of unexpected twists and turns. And another shocker-no cursing. I would definitely recommend it.

    NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

    by

do not expect to see what you see in the trailer. the trailer makes it seem more scary then it really is, also the story line seems much different in the trailer thn the real film its much scarier then the movie its self, but other wise i enjoyed this movie

Just What I Wanted... Whatever Rotten Tomatoes

Regardless of the 11% given to this movie by rotten tomatoes, i gave it a shot.
If you're in to crime thrillers, then you'll enjoy this one. It's not the best thriller/horror film out there, but it got the job done. Also, i really enjoyed the music and film work.

House at the End of The Street

    by Pat55

Loved it. I love spooky movies anyway, so I am already geared to be jumping all over my seat, or close to it. This was good.

House at the End of the Street - go see it!

    by

Finally - a horror film with grit instead of gore. Great script, well casted - and the storyline kept me guessing. I'm not saying it is especially "unique" - it IS a horror film after all - but it does a good job of building suspense without having the heroine fall down a lot, say stupid things or forget how to barricade a door. The plot has a nice twist to it - and the whole thing holds together really well. I'd see it again!

House at the end of the Street

While it had an interesting premise there were just too many plot holes in this movie. The mother is supposed to have been a teenage mom who married her musician boyfriend, but still had the time and money to become a doctor. After the murders Ryan was said to have lived in the house with an Aunt for five years. The same Aunt who he had been living with for the previous six years. Apparently no one in town ever saw or spoke with this women and no one thought it strange. There are plenty more.
Acting is ok since they had very little story to work with. My guess is if Hunger Games had not been a huge success this would have gone straight to DVD.

    Great Thriller

    by Mia322

Go see this but keep in mind its a thriller. NOT a horror film. Its a bummer when your expecting horror. I was lucky to have read a review here explaining that. Great thriller, keeps your interest throughout.

    disappointed

    by falauri

Why is it to much to ask to get your money's worth to go and see a decent horror movie? I walked away not really understanding the ending. The only scenes that scared you at all was when the girl from basement jumping out with loud music. I was surprised Elizabeth Shue appearred in this movie. The Ryan character acter was not convincing at all, not great acting. And if I had to see another close up with Elissa character, I was going to scream. Come on, use some creativity. Dont waste your money. I wish another movie like "what lies beneath" would be released! Now that was good, scary, edge of your seat suspenseful, and what a real horror movie is what its all about.

    Not What You Think

    by

This movie is more of a suspense thriller than it is a horror film. I thought the twist was interesting, but for the most part I'd say it's a tween movie. If I could do it again, I'd wait until it came out on redbox.

Even with the "cool twist" at the end, this movie was HORRIBLE

I'm a mid 30-s woman that attended this movie, with much anticipation and expectation, with my boyfriend who is also in his mid-30s. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! By the last quarter of the movie, everyone was kind of having personal conversations waiting it out because it was SO bad. Long, drawn out plot that is FILLED WITH TEENAGER STORYLINES and ACTING. The ONLY REASON people are rating this movie as GO/MUST GO is because of the twist at the VERY end of the movie. NOT worth it to me!!! I wouldn't even rent this horrible movie. I don't know what people are thinking, but this was NOT a good movie!

Twist To Storyline that was Cool

I found this movie to be entertaining not as scary as I thought it would be. I like the storyline though and is very suspenseful, the twist to it is something I did not expect which made the movie even better. The ending was great too leaving you like no way that's how it was?!
