A must see

The movie is a realistic view of what a Seal team does in the line of duty, even though the story line is invented to use the team in a real scenrio of what could happen. I believe the ending was a little to harsh and that it might have ended better for the team. I would let any child see this as it shows that what we have in this country is not free and someone ,somewhere fought and died fot it. Horray for the Navy to allow this movie to be made using active duty seals in it.

Fantastic movie - you could hear a pin drop in the theater - cried at the very end. Cried for the fact that very few in this country respect and honor our military men for they do for US

Good story, could be better movie

The supporting actors made much better performances than the lead roles. Someone has to edit those ridiculous "witty" lines and make some real "buddy-buddy" conversations, or none at all. Over all, the movie is okay - glamorized, over "designed" - but okay. Best part of the whole movie is the end, where they dedicate it and list the SEALS that have been killed in the last decade.

If you know what the Special Forces do to protect this country, you will like it. If you are an American and love this country, you will like it.

Other people...well, if you see this as a propaganda film and you are anti-American, you will not like this movie.

In fact, don't go see this movie for you will have a serious meltdown for it has jihadis, Mexicans and good ole plain terrorists in this movie. Oh, the shock that these people wanna take down the United States!

Thank you, Special Forces for you are and what you doing to protect ALL Americans including the lefties out there.

A Real Hero Movie

A movie about real people who put themselves on the line in harms way so that we can sleep better and live the American life with all the liberties and freedom we hold so dear. The Seals do what we can't and they do it superbly and better than any of the bad guys.

When necessary, they pay the ultimate price. And often, the families are told it happened in a training accident.

This movie shows the truth of what Navy Seals and our other services do often. They watch the bad guys. They track them down and they kill when necessary. The latest in high tech supports them and multiplies their abilities.

Damn Few! And so glad they are ours.

A wonderful movie. It had me engaged from the very beginning; both from an action point of view but also from one where I felt extremely proud of our service men and women. Thank you for bringing such a powerful story to the screen.

Worth Seeing!

Overall a very good movie, plenty of action and some amazing scenes. Since it portrays real life Navy Seals, it definately provides food for thought and makes the plot and action all the more amazing and sobering. Considering that they are not professional actors I believe they did a fine job and were certainly realistic.

Incredible Movie!

Acts of Valor was an Incredible movie! It shows the strength, ability and honor of our military troops. It shows the sacrifices that the military members and their families make to protect our country and stand for freedom. Amazing movie! I was in tears by the end.

Our Navy Seals

This movie is amazing... We really do not have a clue what our Navy Seal's do because it has to be kept so quite but they are amazing and go through such a tough training that they can't even speak of. God Bless our Navy Seals!!!!!!!!!!

I've been waiting for Hollywood to make this movie for the last 30 years. Finally, there's a movie that portrays our men and women that serve in our armed forces as what they are: everyday people who do heroic acts when heroic acts are called for. The movie is simply amazing. The "stunts" are not stunts, they are what these guys do every day. There are no doubles that step in for the stars. There's no computer enhancement. The professional critics are pannning this movie, and some are calling it a "recruitment film". I say, hooyah, we need more Nave Seals!

Act of Valor has spot on action! The action scenes are very intense and very loud! The action sequences use very realistic tactics, weapons, and equipment. This movie is an accurate picture of the navy seals and naval special warfare.

Outstanding Film

While the acting may not be Oscar Award material, these guys are real-life Navy Seals in real-life roles. The honor and commitment to our country by our soldiers truly comes thrugh in this film, and their daily heroism and family sacrifice is also well reflected. A lot of action with a lot of shooting (good stuff for a lot of us!) and very emtertaining. The violence is pretty graphic though, I definitely wouldn't be taking my little ones to see this one. The movie shows these guys as real people, as mortal as any of the rest of us. It seems a lot of folks liked the movie as well because the audience applause at the end was tremendous. Even my wife wants to see it again! Enjoy the movie.

Act of Valor

Act of Valor is a superb film! Considering that the Navy Seals in the movie are not professional actors, the acting is excellent! With some of the Seals, the acting is so good that I thought they were true actors, until I saw from the credits that they were indeed Navy Seals. The few times that the acting isn't what professional acting might be just brings it home that my gosh, these guys really are real Navy Seals! It just adds to the meaningfulness of the movie. More importantly, the Seals' skill with the action and maneuvers is something that regular actors could never have come close to.
The directing, cinematography and post-production of the movie were first class. Incredible that the relatively new independent film studio, Bandito Brothers, could have come up with a production this excellent!
This is a realistic film. As such, it's a movie for adults (not kids). The film is powerfully meaningful and moving. It delivers what it says: true Acts of Valor! Superb!

Very Good

I really liked this movie. I had to cover my eyes during some of the violence, but overall this movie kept my attention the entire time. It was intense. One of the attractions was that many of the "actors" were Navy Seals - I found that appealling. I saw things and learned things in this movie about the Navy Seals that I hadn't seen before on TV or in movies. I thought it was a great movie, story.
