This movie sucked big time!

The Dictator was one of the worse movies of the year. I walked out after half the movie. I went to see Battleship, not a great movie but 100 times better than Dictator.

Not quite as good as Borat but much better than Bruno. Better than I expected. Baron Cohen is a rare talent but is much better in small doses--his characters aren't deep enough to carry a 90 minute film. But this was a good effort. Definitely worth seeing.

If you like Sacha Baron Cohen, then GO!!!
His humor is quite different than the norm but that is what makes him stand apart from other comedy films. Sometimes he is on the verge of being offensive but then you realize that this is how he is. I enjoyed quite a few laughs as usual but found some of his dialogue not so funny. Go see for yourself......

This was so funny! Plus, anytime a man is willing to give women personal part seens makes him a breath of fresh air since so much is geared to naked women. But this movie put a smile on my face a laugh through the air and my mind something to consider. Being so dead on in an entertaining way. You must see it, no, you shalt see it! Gogogo and have a great time seeing what the critics don't want you to see!

Must see movie

I went and saw the movie yesterday and it was funny! It was just as I expected and Sacha Baren Cohen does a great job as he always does with his movies. There were no shortages of outrageous moments in the movie. Go in with an open mind and you will be laughing throughout the movie. My jaw hurts just from all the laughing and I would see it again.

Most funny parts in trailor

I was really looking forward to The Dictator based on the commercials and Sasha Baron Cohen. While it was funny, the jokes became predictable and I didn't have the side splitting laughter I expected. I would have enjoyed it more if I had waited for the blu-ray and watched it at home with some drinks. Maybe I'll enjoy it more the next time I see it.

Sasha Cohans best movie since Borat. A million laughs Very sophmoric humor but was right up my alley. I plan to see it again because the laugh lines came at me at warp speed.

Go and watch it!

Hahaha! i still cant stop laughing about this movie, it was very funny. If you like laughing and having a good time with your friends go and see this movie. This isnt a movie to go and watch with a girl more of a movie to watch with your bros. Dont go and watch it if you get seriously offended because it is very vulgar yet too funny.

Not intellectual, but what do you expect?

Typical Baron Cohen brand of humor, it made me laugh, a lot. So did the rest of the theater. Yes, it's ridiculous, yes it's inappropriate, but it is very well observed and well done.

Entertaining. If you enjoyed Borat and Bruno you will no doubt enjoy this. If you didn't, you probably won't.

Too disjointed. Sasha Baron Cohen is so talented and brilliant that I feel he could have fine-tuned this movie to be so much funnier and impactful. I LOVE "funny". Don't love inane.
Totally NOT for children.

Really, Really Bad!

I haven't seen a movie this bad since I was a child and saw "Everything's Ducky" in the late 50s or early 60s. This movie is truly stupid and BORING! It's rated R, but think the humor most likely would only appeal to junior high males . . . and maybe not even them. This is just not a funny movie. It's crude and low-class. The gags are not funny. We left after 35 minutes when I noticed my husband was asleep! Well, I certainly didn't want to sit there and watch it so we were outta there. Total waste of time and money!

Bruno was better!

No doubt Sasha is a very funny guy. He is a comic genius. That dictator was OK. I didn't laugh as hard as I thought I would. I should've gone to see battleship instead.

Hilarious but grose

Dictator is a hilarious movie and milks all the cliche jokes on racism really well. I would have wished the movie to be a little longer. Sacha gets into the skin of the character and makes him look authentic.
Its a great parody on the current world scenario. I would have callled it a Must Go if not for all the grose stuff.

It was OK

Some of the best parts are given away in the trailer. Poorly thrown together, monotonous at times and not really funny. I cracked a smile at a few parts, but no rip-roaring laughter here.
