The Dictator

If you like Sacha Baron Cohen, then GO!!!
His humor is quite different than the norm but that is what makes him stand apart from other comedy films. Sometimes he is on the verge of being offensive but then you realize that this is how he is. I enjoyed quite a few laughs as usual but found some of his dialogue not so funny. Go see for yourself......

Not worth a dime!

This movie was good for a laugh, but it was so stupid! The plot was terrible and the movie was way to slow! It wasn't racial or anything like that, but it was very crude. Wait til it comes out on DVD. The last 4 movies i have seen have all sucked including this one. Should of seen BattleShip!

Horribly UNfunny.

i went in to this movie with high hopes but i was highly disappointed. Take my word for it. The funniest parts of the movie are revealed in the commercials. The most i got to do was chuckle, and even those moments seemed forced to make myself seem like the money was worth it.

A Little Crude, Even for Sacha Baron Cohen

Ok, so I didn't hate the film, but I didn't love it either. Unlike Borat, which was crude, hysterically crude, The Dictator was more crudely hysterical. The film makes some good points and there is a lot of meaningful satire, but overall the whole thing kind of falls flat on it's face. This wasn't the follow-up to Borat I was hoping for. This film is just fine for pay per view, but not really worth the price of a theater ticket.

Ok, if you don't think this movie is funny you have no BORAT style humor and shouldn't go in the first place

I LOVE this movie!!! It was nonstop hilarity-and very well done. Much much higher quality than Borat or Bruno, (which I also love), this is a fantastic movie and to top that, it gives an actual great message, which I don't think the audience appreciated in my theatre. (the message which he gives straight faced about America and the 1%) I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND WILL SEE IT AGAIN

PORN MOVIE worst movie ever

ALL the funny scene shown on trailer and all is left is porn nudity dirty movie ,don't waste your money and time for this ugly and disgusting movie ever.WORST MOVIE EVER I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE.

Funnier than expected

I'm not a big fan of Sasha Cohen's work, and the only reason I went was for my man's birthday. I was pleasantly surprise how enjoyable this movie was. It had some genuine humor to it, no just the crude gags from his previous movies. Yes, there were a few parts that could be offensive to some people, but not nearly as bad as Bruno or Borat.

Is a clssic Sacha Baron Cohen movie. Hilarious, not as explicit as Bruno, but it had many moments of sexualized behaviors, racist comments, and just plain uncomfortable to see. Overall, it was great.

Racist and disgusting

The movie makes u laugh on a racist jokes which makes me guilty to support such a movie. Also, it include many inappropriate and disgusting scenes.

Walked out after 45 minutes (15 minutes after actually thinking about it)

I have completely enjoyed SBC's previous films, but this one was just horrible. Even my husband, who will typically ride out a bad movie, was ready to leave. Not investing anymore thought or time into this.

HILARIOUS

This movie had me laughing every step of the way. If you love foolish antics this is the best movie to see. 5 Stars funniest movie I've seen since Superbad. BETTER than Borat.

Funny!

Initially I did not want to see the movie, but my son did. I had never seen Borat, because I didn't think I'd like that type of movie. The movie was actually funny. Unfortunately, there were children in the audience and there were scenes (a lot) that were inappriopriate for children. I was glad that my son enjoyed the movie. He laughted so much.

I can say with all' honesty The Dictator was the worst film I have ever seen as it was scummy even for an R rated movie And of course typical Hollowood bad mouth a great American that has served in the military and our country, **** Chaney. I would have got up and demanded my money back but the simple fool I went with thought it was funny.

Don't worry about me tell my friends the ending as I will be sure to tell them to save their money

Good for one time.

With an average plot Sacha does an excellent job, he's the master of accents.
Do NOT take kids to this movie. Jokes and language can be vulgar at times
Very humorous in parts, leave your brains at home when you come. If you are looking for logic give it a pass.
Very good directing and cinematography.
Can be racist at times but he doesn't spare anyone. His speech about democracy/dictatorship pricks.
I'd give it a 3.5/5.

A bit over the top on shock

SBC did a great job promoting this movie and this is why I think it did as well during opening weekend. But I don't think this one will go as far as Borat, character seems much less developed, most jokes already revealed during media interviews, and some shocking scenes have no amuzement value at all. I would call this movie Bruno 2, ME style.
