    Fantastic film

Not too violent but appropriately violent. Not bloated rather suspenseful. Not a "white savior" film - Django saves himself. The spaghetti western form is not dismissive of slavery; the style doesn't interfere with and even highlights the horror of the subject matter.

    Classic Tarantino!

Fantastic Story & awesome camera work. Jamie Foxx is great as Django, DiCaprio is awesome as the villain, & Christoph Waltz flat out Nails it as the bounty hunter partner. Tarantino does it again!! Must see!

excellent- remember its just a movie!!!

Great movie and entertainment. As with all of Quentin's films I close my eyes for a few overly graphic comic book style parts but for me that does not ruin it! The story is so original and absurd that the almost three hours is pure entertainment and think provoking! The characters are unique and they all play a part in this fantastic story. Remember- its a movie and it has its own style- but its not a historical document or interpretation. all the characters when thought of realistically are absolutely ridiculous
Thanks to a great cast of artists both in front of and behind the camera

Spectacular Acting, Accurate Accounts and Mind Boggling Mayhem

    by

Finally! Our first black superhero of the old south. This gives me much hope that the movie industry is shifting and its about time. We need more heros and heroines in prolific roles such as this. I was proud. Thank you QUENTIN!

    Best Picture of the year!!!!!

The picture was done so well, included so much true history on slavery in this country, and the attitudes of slave owners and their slaves in which they owned and killed. There was so much to laugh about now which was not funny when it was happening, It was a true picture of the thoughts and actions of slaves, especially the part played by Sam Jackson. Some people expressed their dislike after the movie, but they are not aware of the history of slavery which was truly depicted, and have no reason to be ashamed of what was, but should strive to educate themselves and to share true knowledge of slavery with others. They should be ensure it does not happen again, and be sure that they don't enslave another.

All acting was great and Jamie Fox and Same Jackson were superb!!! Because of the language, ages 13 and above only should see it. If you don't mind exposing your child to a large amount of vulgar language from Sam Jackson, than ages 9 and over can learn a history lesson.

Tarantino and Fox do not dissapoint

    by nhleees

Great movie! It was very entertaining from the start and the characters were great. As is typical with QT movies: over the top in terms of story line, violence and bloodshed, but you should always expect that and come prepared! It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

I hope somebody wins an Oscar from this movie!!!

    by

I was hesistant about going to see this movie because I feel horrible after seeing slave type movies. But, I went and I enjoyed it! I loved Jamie Foxx's character and Samuel L. Jackson's character. Somebody needs to win or be nominated for an Oscar from this movie!!

Django is my new Super Hero!

Tarantino has done it again! If you liked or loved unglorious bastards, you'll love Django. In my opinion Django is funnier and a little more suspenseful. I've read some reviews in which people where offended by the movie's depiction of slaves and it's use of the "N" word. I'm a minority and have personally experienced racism in my life as a young youth. I can tell you Django doesn't regress BlackPeople 100 years as stated in some reviews. The movies setting is set in1865 and racism and slavery was a daily part of life and now part of our nations history.
It's a MOVIE AND A REALLY ENTERTAINING MOVIE AT THAT. DJANGO IS MY NEW SUPERHERO.

    Fairly entertaining, but...

    by CatCow

I have to wonder what is going through Tarantino's mind lately. Plenty of wild blood spatter and guts flying everywhere, plenty of violence and bad language... Enough to keep any Tarantino fan happy. And some quite humorous parts as well, the rest of the audience was laughing pretty hard. But why is it that he tried so hard to avoid showing female parts when they were nude, but decided to show off Django's junk? Almost reminds me of British television. Other than that annoyance, it was a good movie.

Best Tarantino ever, say two out of three!

Awesome performances, great plot twists, lots of action. Characters were a little cartoony and one dimensional, at times, but when they were, they were funny. So far, friends and family from ages 18 to 60 have loved it!

    OMG...LOVED IT!!!

Django Unchained, was an awesome movie, after Roots, what other movie let's a black man seek revenge by blowing the heads off their slave master. The scene with the KKK when they were talking about the bags, that was the funniest scene ever. I laughed so hard I nearly wet my pants. All the actor's did a great job playing their characters, I almost didn't recognize Don Johnson as Big Daddy. Quentin Tarantino did an awesome job on this kick *** movie. You must go see it but with all the violent scenes and killing it is not for small children.

    Django Off The Chain

    by AYHJA

This is one of those films that has everything you could want. It is technically sound, has a great cast. It is well paced for a long film. The acting is fantastic, the characters are well done. You'll have every emotion on the human scale hit while watching this film. You'll be angry, you'll laugh, you'll want to cry, you'll cheer. Just a fantastic film. Ignore any criticisms of this movie, you deserve to see for yourself.

    Django

Quentin Tarantino has yet again brought us a well written, believable dialogue, and an all star cast in Django. As an old African American the use of the "N" word was just the way it was depicted in days where few people of color were truly free. The plot is very plausible and well worth a giant popcorn and a small drink to share with your sweetie while you sit of the edge of your seat wondering what's going to happen next!

Go ses it and wonder no more!
