    OMG...LOVED IT!!!

Django Unchained, was an awesome movie, after Roots, what other movie let's a black man seek revenge by blowing the heads off their slave master. The scene with the KKK when they were talking about the bags, that was the funniest scene ever. I laughed so hard I nearly wet my pants. All the actor's did a great job playing their characters, I almost didn't recognize Don Johnson as Big Daddy. Quentin Tarantino did an awesome job on this kick *** movie. You must go see it but with all the violent scenes and killing it is not for small children.

    Django

    by

Great movie, with crazy plots/twists. Don't go if you are new to Tarantino's movies, lots of blood, and shooting! It definately kept me awake. Overall a great movie for me; the best I've seen in a long time.

    Best Picture of the year!!!!!

The picture was done so well, included so much true history on slavery in this country, and the attitudes of slave owners and their slaves in which they owned and killed. There was so much to laugh about now which was not funny when it was happening, It was a true picture of the thoughts and actions of slaves, especially the part played by Sam Jackson. Some people expressed their dislike after the movie, but they are not aware of the history of slavery which was truly depicted, and have no reason to be ashamed of what was, but should strive to educate themselves and to share true knowledge of slavery with others. They should be ensure it does not happen again, and be sure that they don't enslave another.

All acting was great and Jamie Fox and Same Jackson were superb!!! Because of the language, ages 13 and above only should see it. If you don't mind exposing your child to a large amount of vulgar language from Sam Jackson, than ages 9 and over can learn a history lesson.

    Quentin you've done it again!

    by azinno

Django was FANTASTIC. Action packed, hilarious, and grueling all at the same time while touching on a past that many have probably tried to forget. All of the actors and actresses did a fabulous job in their roles. I highly recommend this movie! It's not for children though.

I really wanted to like it...

    by

After the 2 hour mark, the movie really begins to pander. It really could've been great, but the editing must have just taken the night off. There were at least 5-6 scenes that had NOTHING to do with the movie ultimately took away from the forward progress of the storyline.

Great film-making and definitely entertaining... but that was ridiculously too long.

    Explosive

    by

It?s all Tarantino and his exploitative ways, Nazis, now the Slave Trade. Quentin delivers on the difficult and disturbing of human existence in an entertaining way. Compared to many of his other films, the narrative is A to B, with not much sub-plot. It?s ?seek and destroy? for Django. A cleverly written script and edgy characters brings awe inspiring performances Shultz (Christopher Waltz) deserves an Oscar Node for is calm and charismatic German bounty hunter. Django (Jamie Foxx) is strong and defiant, Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) sticky and fierce. Samuel Jackson is evil. As always Tarantino, there?s with a groovy score and originality with Spaghetti Western concepts - quickest man in the South (plus his fair share of tributes). It's probably unnecessarily long at 2 hours 45mins, with a few token scenes but the beauty of Tarantino?s cinematography and BIG scenes keeps you going. Watch out for the totally random Aussies!!

    Great, but a tad long

Sometimes the movie is unclear whether it is a smiling homage to westerns or a send-up of the genre, it constantly skirts a fine line. But a good tale, entertainingly told with very strong performances, and not enough people mention Samuel L. Jackson creating a memorable and very unique character. As good as it was, though, the film felt long.
Please go, but promise yourself to laugh at all the bloody effects (except the dogs). Skip it if dark humor evades you.

    Django was fantastic!!!!

    by jemsp4

Django (The D is Silent) was excellent. The story, the acting, the filiming were all top shelf and perfectly Tarantino! This is the best Tarantino movie yet and the cast was over the top good. This movie deserves recognition and Tarantino deserves an award. Great job QT!

    Nothing can prepare you.

    by

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a Quentin Terrantino flick. But respect the content. It's fictional but it's based on real history. And yeah America, it's shameful, but it's true. And when reality stares you in the eye, you can't look away. The film is gut wrenching, but worth every penny. I'll be honest, it matured me a little. Movies like this always do. This film is far from Roots, but it's very close to home. Very sobering.

    classy comedic capricious

    Jamie Foxx keeps it serious
    Samuel L Jackson is hillarious
    DiCaprio is amazing
    Waltz is oscar worthy

This is a great moving story that satirizes the ridiculous past of the U.S. while keeping it funny and interesting. Waltz is amazing!

Bottom Line- Everyone go see this movie; it has something for everyone.

    Brilliant

    by

I just want to start off by saying, if you aren't generally a Quentin Tarentino fan then you may not appreciate the masterpiece that this movie truly is. This movie definitely has Tarentino's signature flare of somewhat cheesy camera angles, old style text and music and exaggerated blood splatter. The movie is violent but the amount of blood that is used is more comical than sickening. it is set during slavery so expect excessive use of the "N" word as that is what slaves were called back then.

The story is pure genius and wraps you in from the very first scene, Quentin wastes no time in making the hero and his objective clear within the first 10-15 minutes of the movie. Jamie Foxx's mix of bad boy and comical personality are the perfect fit for this character. Samuel L Jackson is funny and yells a lot (as he tends to do) and Leonardo DiCaprio is the villain that I loved to hate.

Overall this movie has a good story, action and just the right amount of comic relief.

    DJANGO fast paced

LeMiz only had front row seats and we jumped to DJANGO instead and were not disappointed. The many plots were fast action and the almost 2-1/2 hour movie went quickly. Acting was really good and the twists took your breath. It was a bit too Quentin Tarentino in that it was gratuitously violent and closing your eyes didn't diminish the images. Wonderful casting and even some lighter moments (but not a comedy) and the character development made you interested in what happened to them.
