The D is silent
Everything you expect about a Quentin Tarantino movie and more. Acting: superb. Violence: over the top perfection. The cinematography, one of my favorite aspects of films, was beautiful. Scenes of the "north" in winter, of mountains, were stunning vistas. It was refreshing to see Leo DiCaprio as a villain and Jamie Foxx carries the film on his capable shoulders. Christoph Waltz was quite memorable as Dr. Schultz and I think this is my new favorite role of his. Surprise appearances by Don Johnson, Quentin Tarantino, and Jonah Hill, who supposedly had a bigger role but didn't have time to film it. The use of original and popular music enhanced this film by helping set the mood or tone. The use of the "n" word is in historical context and those who say it to put down blacks eventually get shot, so that's good. Personally, I hate that word. In summary, this is a very good film, well made, told, and acted and I highly recommend it if you can stomach the violence.
