    Phenomenal All The Way Around!

I was drawn in by the cast at first, then intrigued by the story and blown completely away by the masterful story telling combined with stellar acting talent. I will definitely be seeing this movie again and taking my friends! This movie is NOT for the faint of heart!

i didnt even pay to see this movie and i want my money back. and more importantly my time.

    by

the jokes made in the movie were extremely uncomfortable. Slavery is not a subject to joke with, there is nothing funny about it. Tarantino should stay away from serious subjects like this. I couldnt wait for it to be over, if I had not gone with family I would have walked out, i didnt even care to finish the movie id rather have my time back.

    Great acting all around

    by

I was not expecting all of the great stars that made cameos. Jamie Foxx was great, Samuel L Jackson was hilarious. Everyone in this movie was great. It made for a very entertaining movie. Its a must see.

    Django

    by eduke

This movie was phenomenal. Jamie Fox was amazing in his role as D'Jango "Freeman". I was completely moved at the time that the movie depicted, it made me appreciate my ancestors more and more and the struggle that they overcame, to ensure that not only my generation but my children as well will know where they came from and are now able to hold thier heads up high. The psychological aspect of the movie was to the T. The charachters portrayed in this movie showed how life was for African American people in the 1800's. I feel that our young people need to know their history and embrace it, dont be ashamed of who you are and where they came from. Excellent movie, loved it!!!

    Great Movie

This movie is a must see....it was funny and very action packed. It will keep you in its story line. Don't get up to use the bathroom, you don't want to miss any part of the movie. Django, the "D" is silent:-)

    A must see

Quentin Tarantino does it again! The first 30 minutes have some classic lines, and there is plenty of humor to keep you entertained. My only complaint is it did drag on a little bit at the end and some of the violence is a little over the top. More cartoon like then gory. Go see it on the big screen the way it was intended to be seen.

    Finally...

Awesome movie! First Obama's re- election and now Django.
I loved Jamie, Kerry, Samuel, Bruce Dern, Jonah, DiCaprio, Schultz, Quentin and Reggie Hudlin for their outstanding efforts towards this long over due historical contribution to cinematic excellence.
I was on the edge of my seat! I grabbed a complete stranger! :-0 By the end of the movie, I was clapping frantically with joy! WHAT A RIDE. I'm going again. :-D

    LOVED IT!!!

Just saw D'Jango last night, and it was fantastic!
It's definitely not for the faint of heart, because it gets very real on the horrors of slavery, and can be pretty bloody at times. Some people can't handle the truth!!
The acting was absolutely exceptional from Jamie Foxx, Leo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel Jackson. This movie was 3 hours long, but you would never know it.. I was ALL IN! It will be interesting to see how The Oscars treat this film..
I like how Tarantino turns history on its head in movies, and this was his best yet, it even has some humorous takes on the inefficiency of KKK robes for vision.. If you liked Inglorious Basterds, you'll probably like this!
I thought I was gonna be uncomfortable with the excessive use of the n-nord, but it wasn't bad, and honestly, that's the vernacular of the time.
People who want to boycott this film just have no sense of humor, or aren't ready to accept that slavery happened. Is time to accept it people! Go see this!

    Tarantino at his BEST!

Can't wait to see it again, though I think some in the theatre had a hard time with all the violence and the slavery topic. It's best to know what to expect from a Tarantino movie. The acting, costumes, sound and music were fantastic. Lots of action and hidden humor in the dialog. Two hours and 45 minutes flew by.

Tarantino's Love Letter to the Spaghetti Western

It's another ambitious offering from Tarantino, with the scope and production of "Inglorious Basterds," yet this time tackling the Old West. Set two years before the start of the Civil War, the story follows newly-freed slave Django (Foxx) and dentist-turned-bounty hunter Schultz (Tarantino's new favorite actor, Christoph Waltz) who team up as bounty hunters, then quest to find and free Django's wife from plantation owner Candie (DiCapprio). It's a period piece heavily involving slaves and slave owners, so the "N-word" is used frequently, but not as obscenely as Spike Lee would try to have you believe despite never seeing the movie. And it's a Tarantino flick, so there's plenty of blood and violence. But it's a great Tarantino flick. It doesn't quite reach the level of "Basterds," but it's definitely worth the 3 hours it takes to watch it. Plenty of laughs, drama and action, with great characters who were well-acted. Definitely check out this movie.

    Tarantino at his best!

    by debsnm

If you are a Tarantino fan, go see this movie! It's one of his best. Waltz is excellent in this movie, as is Foxx. The usual blood & gore, but that's to be expected. Parts are funny as hell - be warned, it's pre-Civil War south, so the "N-word" is almost used more than "***&^". If you're squeamish at all, or don't know Tarantino, then think twice before going.

    Great Movie! Tarantino Rocks Again!

Amazing cast, great action, plenty of comedy, some violence but it's all worked into the plot. If you've ever liked a western, it's a must see; there are plenty of references to classic western movies and actors woven into the script, costuming, and cinematography. Try to see it on a movie theater screen while you can, it's visually stunning as well. Hope you have as much fun as I did, it's the kind of movie that reminded me of why I love going to the movies:)

    Django Unchained

    by jsmoot

I went along with my husband to see this movie. This is not the kind of movie I usually watch, but overall, it was a good movie. Jamie Foxx, job well done. My husband can't wait for it to come out on DVD. Guess he has a long time to wait. :)

Tarantino lives up to his name

It was a very good movie, if you are a Quinton Tarantino fan. If you liked Inglorious Basterds, then you will enjoy Django Unchained. There's plenty of blood in it, and while it's a drama, there are many scenes that make you laugh hard! It does deserve and R rating for sure, but it is a well made film
