    New all time favorite!!!

I was beyond impressed! All characters at their best! I better see some awards given on this film. Amazing to see cameo visits by Tarantino and the original Django. Scenes were so unexpected, I laughed mostly, sad moments, hopeful moments and vengeful moments...but I won't ruin it for you. Let me just say that there were a couple of times that I wished that I was Jamie Foxx's horse...whew!

    Django Unchained

This was an excellent movie! Quentin Tarrentino gave his brilliant spin to depict a shameful part of American History, with graphic in your face depictions and Tarrentino humor. The acting was top rate!

    Tarantino strikes again!

    by

Unsettling, uneasy, most certainly uncomfortable, cheesy, gory, witty, most certainly not "politically correct", vengeful, unbelievable and down right f-ing FUN! Tarantino delivers a product of entertainment and story telling that transcends film making.

    True Quentin Tarantino

Good movie -- WAY TOO LONG. Needed some serious editing. Acting is superb by all the leads. If you are a fan of Tarantino, then you can't pass up on this.

    Django

    by eduke

This movie was phenomenal. Jamie Fox was amazing in his role as D'Jango "Freeman". I was completely moved at the time that the movie depicted, it made me appreciate my ancestors more and more and the struggle that they overcame, to ensure that not only my generation but my children as well will know where they came from and are now able to hold thier heads up high. The psychological aspect of the movie was to the T. The charachters portrayed in this movie showed how life was for African American people in the 1800's. I feel that our young people need to know their history and embrace it, dont be ashamed of who you are and where they came from. Excellent movie, loved it!!!

    Django Unchained

    by mkwms7

This movie is the TRUTH. Anyone offended by the use of the "N" word should study history. Django Unchained showed a lot of things not highlighted by the media: Pride, Courage, Strength and Determination. Be strong enough that, when you see it, you don't relate it to gun violence or discrimination. If you can do that, you can take away the good from each character and enjoy the movie.

    Great Movie

    by

Unfortunately, this is what slaves encountered - I enjoyed the comedy trying to lighten the mood - There was a lot of blood but overall I enjoyed it.

    Very Very Good Movie

    by ewrxsti

The fill was great enjoyed every minute of it.

Actors were great Jamie Foxx, Leo, and Christoph Waltz were all fantastic. I would see it again it really worth it. If you can't stand violence or the work ****** this may not be the movie for you. But it was not only funny but good action as well. Tarantino strikes again.

    Django Unchained Review

    by

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I usually don't see movies more than once, but I went to see it for the second time last night and still loved it. It's great from the beginning until the very end. Although the movie stems from a very real and disturbing part of American history, it doesn't leave you feeling "down" and angry about it. There's plenty of humor to keep you from feeling too emotional; and, as an African American, I honestly have to say it was great to see Django fighting back and accomplishing his ultimate goal. Can't wait to buy the DVD. :)

    Django Unchained

I loved the movie. It had some humor and lots of action. There was a lot of human emotion. For those who are squeamiish about blood, this is not the movie for you.

The Fear You Behold is the Truth You Don't Want Told

When you can take a bunch of pieces from different puzzles and make them fit as if the pieces came from the same box...you are some kind of Master of pieces. Oldschool Siskel and Ebert thumbs up. For the nay sayers...hmmm... your master degrees and honorary accolades, and, if not distinguished attire, is a bit of a contradiction when holding on to the depths of KNOWLEDGE alone in reagrds to what the slaves endured. Their underground travels weren't meant to lead them in circles back to nooses, chains, and lynch mobs. Some folks are still wading in the waters while others are #UNCHAINED.Cee Jay~

    Raw Funny Action

    by

Raw subject matters, creative plots, excellent acting/characters. They made me despise some, love some, and laugh at others. Nothing like I have ever seen. Acting alone should win awards. Controversies were expected. But, of course, any movie with an African American lead will always draw ire, disdain, harsh judgment. Dems the facts! SMH

    Worth Seeing

Quentin Tarantino is an interesting man and his movies an extension of that interest. Django Unchained did not disappoint, enough fiction and historical references brought together for pure entertainment. Mute Spike Lee and see the movie.

    surpringly great

    by

My husband wanted to go and I had no idea how good it would be. Excel cast; Fox stuns. DiCaprio too...never would have thought of such roles for these two. Waltz is always great. Very bloody and racist but that is how people were in 1858... duh ... see it

    Django

Excellent acting by all actors. Super cinematography. Having a plantation In Gatlinburg, TN, with Spanish moss on the trees was NOT authentic. That could have been more realistic, everything else was. This movie lends itself to a sequel....during the Civil War (Django and his wife could be spies) and after the Civil War when Django and his wife and family settle down. Too bloody for me, but that was realistic. Jamie Foxx should have been nominated for an Oscar.
