Almost as good as Inglorious Basterds
If you're a fan of QT, you'll probably like/love this movie. The dialogue was very good, but the only one to really rattle off any classic QT rants was Christoph Waltz, who again was excellent even though it will be tough to ever beat his turn in Basterds. Jamie Foxx did a great job as the title character, and Leonardo DiCaprio almost stole the show as Candie. This movie is worth seeing for these three alone. The story itself is interesting, and it was fun to see QT play in this genre and subject matter. I've heard some people complaining about the blood and the excessive use of the "N" word. Frankly, I didn't have a problem with either of these things. For one, I thought there was more blood in Kill Bill, and since this film is largly about the treatment of slaves on cotton plantations during the 1800s, the language in general seemed relatively appropriate. Yeah, the "N" word is used A LOT, but it was nothing like some of the reviews had made it out to be. I say SEE IT
