    The Lucky One

    by Y.vet61

Five of us went to see "The Lucky One". We all thought it was great! We laughed and we cried. All agreed that there were a few spots where it could have gone a little quicker, however over all we Loved it!!!! The actors were very believable and did a great job. Some areas were just adult approriate.

    I Loved It!!

    by

This movie had me awwwing, laughing, crying!! I liked that this movie was based on reality in a good way. Very romantic! The actors were great!! I would not suggest taking kids to this movie, this one would be for a mature audience. If you like a good romantic, this is a must see!! :))))))))))

I so wanted to LOVE this movie, like I loved the book-------YIKES!!!

Oh Zac, you are so handsome....stop the Botox!!! And Nick...you've got to write a book where NO ONE DIES!!! You are so predictable. They are lovely books, but SERIOUSLY!!! And you MUST insist on doing the screenplay!!! They really botch your books!!! Boo-Hiss, this was horrible. I'm sorry, what a waste of talent and time, in actors and writers!!! Even the cinematography, what, are you trying to do summer with cold breath coming out of their mouths---really?!?! Whoops, forgot one good actor--Blythe, she's great, ---- why on earth didn't you let her use some of the lines from the book!! She was a great character in the book!!! DUH!!! Please, we are gonna quit coming to Nick Sparks movies if you don't do his books justice!

    Loved It!

    by

Its refreshing when a movie is just as good as the book. The Lucky One is defaintly the best from Nicholas Sparks since The Notebook. So if you are a fan its a must see! Zac Efron & Taylor Schilling do a magnificant job. A far leap for Zac Efron from High School Musical, he did such an amazing jobb in this movie. I will be buying this one for sure!

    Perfect Balance!

"The Lucky One" has such a great balance of emotion, seriousness, and humor. :) I loved it!! I would love to go and see it again. It will definitely be on my movie shelf, when it comes out on DVD. :)

If u liked the book, dont see the movie

    by

It only loosly follows the book. major plot points were left out and major scenes were changed. There is also way more sex in the movie than in the book.

    B-

I have to give 'The Lucky One' a B-. The main reason to see this movie was Zac Efron. He's cute and he is a really good actor. Other than that, the movie did not look appealing to me at all. The movie was surprisingly pretty good. However, if you have read the book, do not see the movie. It's like they took every scene of the book and tried to change it every way they they possibly could. I wish they left the sex scenes out. They were completely unnecessary. Luckily it's not TOO corny, I've definitely seen worse. I don't know if I'd see it again but it was good for a one-time watch. I'd recommend checking it out.

    Very entertaining!

The movie was good, but I think the story line could have been better. Still a winner none the less! If you love Zach, you'll love this movie, he's hot!!!!!

Lucky One Hits a Home Run

The movie is fantastic. I really enjoyed it and thought it had a lot of romantic electricity between Logan & Beth. I think the movie had great casting & chemistry big time.

    Sweet til the End

I was really drawn to the beginning. My boyfriend is also an army vet who suffers PTSD, so the beginning where he's struggling with it really brought me to tears. The romance kind of blossomed out of nowhere, but was still sweet. I wasn't a fan of the ending (which I'll keep quiet about). It just seemed too simple and rushed so that everything could be all sunny and rosy. I think it's worth seeing, just to see Zac Effron to be honest. Wasn't too crazy about the woman really...she looked a bit too old for him.

    Good chick flick

    by ang255

I can't compare it to the book because I haven't read it yet but the movie was really good. Zac Efron does a good job portraying how a man should protect and care for his woman. There are a few intimate scenes that would not be good for ages 13 and under. It was a little predictable but still a great way to spend a rainy sunday.

    Blythe Danner steals the show

Taylor Shilling does an great job. Zac Efron's performance showed he never really got comfortable with the role. His performance seemed pressed.

Blythe Danner was excellent. Her experience shows.

Overall, there were spots where weak writing left the all the actors in a bad spot.

The cinematography is really nicely done.

    Overall, ho-hum

    The Lucky One ....Fantastic

    by

Love this movie. My husband and I went to see this as a Matinee this afternoon, mainly to get out of the heat and to enjoy a Nicolis Sparks Story come to life. Please do not rate this as a chick flick it definitely was an enjoyable film for both of us. Not sure we got out of the heat as this film provided enough indoor heat....Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling had amazing chemistry. FYI leave the kiddos at home.

    Predictable plot but good i

It was a very good romantic film. The plot was predictable but if you're looking for a movie that has an attractive guy and lovey-dovey scenes, this is the movie for you! Since I like watching romantic films, this was definitely worth my money.

    Pretty Good Movie

The Lucky One movie was pretty good, but to those who are avid Nicholas Sparks readers, like myself, the film is a little disappointing. The Lucky One novel is much better but the movie was cute and enjoyable, plus Zac Efron shirtless is to die for ;) I would definitely recommend seeing it if you enjoy adorable romance movies!
