    Safe Haven's feel good formula.

    The movie is proof that Hollywood doesn't always have to resort to violence or special-effects to entertain us. This was a thoroughly delightful movie in that it had a pretty girl, a suspenseful plot, lighthearted moments, and a backstory well hidden until the end. My wife and I are avid movie goers but we rarely go out during the week. This movie was perfect for Valentine's Day. I knew the first time that I saw Julianna Hough on dancing with the stars that there would be many more opportunities. This movie gave her a great story to demonstrate her acting skills. Safe Havens will likely be on the Academy radar, but it's a good movie, a twisting plot, fine acting and well worth seeing.

    BEST MOVIE EVER WATCHED

    OMG!!
    I'm in LOVE with this movie! BEST ONE I'VE EVER SEEN!
    I like how there is romance between Alex and Katie and I like how Katie barely knows Alex, Lexi and Josh in the beginning but still is nice to them and helps them. Like when Josh falls into the ocean, she helps Alex by taking care of Lexi. *SPOILER ALERT!* sorry...

    A Must see!

    Amazing movie! I was riveted the whole time never wanting it to end! Very emotional and I will get this when it comes out! MUST SEE movie! Amazing acting and Julianne blew me away! Josh as always kept me glued to the screen. I was simply captivated by Colbie...wow! Great casting! You will laugh, cry, and your heart will pound in fear and hope. I had some idea about the plot. but I guarantee that it is an amazing love story that heals and gives hope to those who struggle with this very thing in their lives. Just see it. You won't be disappointed.

    Safe Haven - Very Well Done

    Actually went to see another movie as the review we heard for this one was not good - fortunately we got the time wrong for the other movie and decided to give Safe Haven a chance. So glad we did - both Josh and Julianne were very believable in their roles - the scenery was beautiful and the story line was excellently done. Well worth your time and money - my husband enjoyed it as well - so guys - don't think its just a chick flick! I'd sit through it again - it was that good! I'd give this one 5 stars!

    Yes, a "Chick Flick". But a good one.

    I only post reviews when I feel a movie has been disproportionately praised or criticized. I believe this one has been disproportionately criticized. It is indeed a "chick flick" in every sense, and some of it requires patience, but for what it is, it is a very good movie. It is rare that I will see a movie like this, but to my wife's surprise I enjoyed it a lot.

    Safe haven

    This movie was so good. It has something for everyone. There was a murder/mystery going on, a secret past, a budding romance, some heart break and dealing with loss all tangled in to a beautiful story that takes place in a sweet beautiful quiet town with a surprise near the end. My daughter and I loved it. Would see it again!

    No offense...

    I am up for a good romance film that makes you appreciate a love worth fighting for and all that it entails (The Notebook, Atonement) but quite honestly this seems like an LMN movie- let me clarify I haven't seen it- but does the trailer makes it seem like either that or another Sleeping With The Enemy remake..??

    Not only does this movie barely crawl but its ending insults your intelligence. To say that it comes out of context and is rediculous is being very, very kind.

    Loved Safe Haven

    Safe Haven is an excellent movie. The scenery is beautiful, the story is romantic, suspenseful and surprising. I had read the book but it was a couple of years ago so even I was surprised because I had forgotten a the surprise at the end. Loved both Josh & Julianne - wonderful performances. If you like a movie that is romantic, funny at times, a little tearjeaky but with drama and surprise, you will love this movie.

    If you're here then you're considering it. If so - YOU MUST GO.

    If you're looking for a guy movie go see Die Hard. If you're here looking at this review then you are looking for a good date movie or something romantic. If that's the case then look no further - this is the one to see.
    This movie throws mystery and suspense into a romantic / fall in love package. I'm a guy and I took my wife and we both loved it. It's got enough entertainment value and suspense to keep me interested. It had the romance and tears that kept my wife glued. The plot twist is something people may disagree about - I personally loved it.
    WE NEED NEW CRITICS. If this is how our critics are advising us then why are we listening? They would rather send me to see an artsy movie about some guy painting naked or a film about deforestation in a country I haven't heard of instead of a good entertaining movie. I never listen to their reviews and neither should you.

    Great Movie to Watch With Your Girlfriend/Boyfriend

    Overall it was a great movie. Very interesting and romantic. I really liked the twist/mystery shown towards the end. It was pretty cool. Great movie to watch with your wife, husband, boyfriend/girlfriend. Recommend!!!

    Safe Have-A Good Choice

    Saw Safe Haven with my husband..we have recently started a movie date night and have seen several movies. At first I thought I may have chosen the wrong one for us to see together...that maybe this should have been for a Girls Night Out, however, we both enjoyed it! This movie pulled at several emotions....laughter, crying, sighing, heart pounding....all within the 90 minutes or so of the movie.

    Great ending!!!!!

    Movie was very sweet and at some points had you on the edge of your seat. Romance , drama and action all in one. Even a little bit of a thriller. Could never guess the ending of this movie. This is what made it the best movie I have seen in a while!

    Loved it

    I had no idea that Julianne Hough was such a great actress. There was lots of chemistry here, and the buildup was great. I loved the movie. Will probably watch it again when it comes out on video.

    Safe Haven

    By far, the best movie we have seen in a long time! Always loved Nicholas Sparks's books and the movie lived up to- if not exceeded- my expectations. Not just a chick flick: my hubbie loved it, too.
