    Unexpected Surprise

    I saw this movie with my wife and I was very surprised. I was expecting a chick flick type movie, but it had mystery and drama. Superb story. This is an excellent movie with excellent actors. I definitely recommend this movie. God bless!

    Safe Haven

    Starts out a little boring, however it is one of the best Movies out in this Country today. First standing ovation and applause I have seen in a theater for 30 yrs

    Just excellent!

    We really enjoyed this movie! Josh Duhamel & Julianne Hough were excellent together, good chemistry. The surprise ending just added to the story. What do you go to the movies for except to be entertained and this movie certainly does that. We had a good time and I wouldn't mind seeing it again!

    Bring your husband

    Great movie. I read the book before I went to see it. It follows very closely to the book I thought. I wanted to write a review because even my husband enjoyed the movie which isn't always the case when seeing a "chick flick". It had enough to keep his attention.

    The scenery is so beautiful in the movie we are considering a trip to some of the towns where it was filmed.

    Safe Haven

    We saw this show on a Saturday night and it was excellent. I love the main characters and the story line was fantastic. I have been a fan of Josh Duhmel's since his All My Children days and Julienne, in my opinion, showed that she is a serious actor as well as an incredible dancer. The kids were so cute! I highly recommend this movie for a date night - or any other night! The town it take place in looks like a vacation spot that I would want to check out. The ending will really surprise you!!

    Excellent Story

    Read and liked the book and was even more pleased with the movie. Always prefer a movie that presents a real story. Safe Haven did that extremely well. Well produced, well acted and filmed in an environment that delivered on the small town atmosphere described in the original book.

    Great Chick Flick

    I dragged my husband to the movie yesterday. And surprisingly, he did not hate it. While this movie is not The Notebook, it was really good. It is a perfect movie to go see with your girl friends.

    WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?

    (Spoiler alert)

    I didn't feel it was necessary to reveal the friend she made was actually the ghost of his wife. It turned what seemed to be a great romantic tale into some weird ghost story. And it changed how I felt about the entire film.

    Otherwise, the movie was great. I felt the two leading actors had great on-screen chemistry and the characters were well developed.

    Happy endings

    I think this movie had feelings that many viewers have had. The movie twisted those feelings into three plots. One was finding real love again, one was finding love for the first time, and the last was revenge. The cinematographic possibilities were explored while serving the story. There was balance between the players and the setting. I became interested in the town, it's people, and of course the main players. The stunts were limited and realistic for a love story. I'm not a director, but when the direction brings out the personalities required by this story, I must say "Bravo."

    I enjoyed this movie much more than I expected to. Don't know who was prettier, Julianne or Josh. Good story. So glad to see a plot and not a movie overloaded with special effects.

    SAFE HAVEN WAS AMAZING

    I listened to the book on CD and once I heard the twist at the end, I said through my tears... this will make such a great movie... and a month later I heard they were making the movie!!! I called it and I am so thrilled with how it turned out. It was only slow for a moment and the music and scenery pulled me right back in. Love Love Love everything about it!

    Safe Haven is slow and predictable

    It seemed as though I was waiting message in a bottle all over again. I did like the little twist/reveal at the end. If you are a Nicholas Sparks fan you will proabably see the movie no matter what anyone says so just enjoy it for what it is.

    If you are up for a romantic movie GO! this was so touching and one of the BEST movies ive seen in a while. Im acualy going to have to buy this movie!!! And Josh was as cute as ever!:)
