    Definitely (Not) the best Nicholas Sparks movie

    *Disclaimer* I am a male.

    Took my wife to see this on Valentines Day and while she really enjoyed it, I was overly indifferent about it. On the way home, when she couldn't understand why it wasn't my favorite movie ever, I said "Okay, imagine my scale or list of movies I enjoy. How far down the list do you think Nicholas Sparks movie rank? And this is (at best) the 3rd best Nicholas Sparks movie I've seen." I understand that I'm not the target audience for this movie and I'm good with that. I'm simply trying to warn other guys out there when their significant others attempt to talk them into seeing the movie because "it has the guy from Transformers in it".

    great girls night out!

    Enjoyed the movie very much. As expected with any Nicolas Sparks story there where a couple of twists that tug and the heart strings! Acting was great! Josh and Julianne had great chemistry!!

    Amazing Movie

    It had me with tears in my eyes already in the first few minutes. Of course, I had read the book and knew the plot, and the movie stayed relatively close to that with a few exceptions. Josh & Julianne had great chemistry together, and the kids were adorable. Definitely another Nicholas Sparks movie we'll buy for the library.

    Safe Haven movie review

    This movie was good but should have been about 40 minutes shorter. It was just too slow. My girl was smiling the whole time and gripping my hand during the tense parts. My chest did get tight at the end as the movie got to my emotions.

    Safe Haven

    Great movie. Did not exactly follow the book, but the main story held true. There was definitely good chemistry with Julianne and Josh.I was not disappointed.

    I thought Josh and Julianne had great chemistry! It was a great story line. You should check it out.. it has something for everyone... hot guy... hot girl... some action...some love...cute kids :)

    Great movie-Classic (with a twist)!

    This movie will become a classic--Hough was teriffic but Duhamel made the movie!! WHOA is Fergie LUCKY!!!!! He is SOOOO HOT! I wasn't bored once and the twist at the end was unexpected and fantastic! Loved this movie!

    Safe Haven

    I took my granddaughter to see this film and we both felt it was a very touching intertaining movie. What a surprise at the end. It showed what can happen in ones life and we felt it was proven any one can go on with life no matter what happens to ones life. All in all it was very intertaining for all ages. I'm 62 and my grandaughter is 18.

    Julia did it better

    Not sure if anyone remembers, Julia Roberts already did this movie called "Sleeping with the Enemy" in1991 and did it much better. Very surprised that it opened on Valentines Day, not exactly the feel good love story I would condider. I mean Hello! the ex gets shot in the head and the daughter almost dies in a fire and this is at the end. Just ok acting and even worse directing. seemed very choppy to me and the characters were not developed well or likeable.
    Wait for video if you must see this at all.

    Safe Have-A Good Choice

    Saw Safe Haven with my husband..we have recently started a movie date night and have seen several movies. At first I thought I may have chosen the wrong one for us to see together...that maybe this should have been for a Girls Night Out, however, we both enjoyed it! This movie pulled at several emotions....laughter, crying, sighing, heart pounding....all within the 90 minutes or so of the movie.

    This was one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. I giggled, smiled and cried. My boyfriend even enjoyed the chick flick, as he called it.. I will buy this movie and watch it over and over!!!

    One of the better NS adaptations

    I took my guy friend with me to see this movie and even he was able to enjoy it because of the thriller aspect and the adorable kids in the film. If you're a Nicholas Sparks fan, you must go, and others will enjoy the chemistry between the two main characters as well.

    Great Date Movie

    My husband and I went to see this movie on Valentine's Night. What a perfect movie for the holiday. I loved this movie and it was just as great as I thought it would be. I love the town the movie was set in, I loved everthing about this movie.

    Safe haven

    This movie was so good. It has something for everyone. There was a murder/mystery going on, a secret past, a budding romance, some heart break and dealing with loss all tangled in to a beautiful story that takes place in a sweet beautiful quiet town with a surprise near the end. My daughter and I loved it. Would see it again!

    Safe Haven - Very Well Done

    Actually went to see another movie as the review we heard for this one was not good - fortunately we got the time wrong for the other movie and decided to give Safe Haven a chance. So glad we did - both Josh and Julianne were very believable in their roles - the scenery was beautiful and the story line was excellently done. Well worth your time and money - my husband enjoyed it as well - so guys - don't think its just a chick flick! I'd sit through it again - it was that good! I'd give this one 5 stars!
