Not a bad movie, as other reviews suggest
This movie was sweet, charming, and had me in tears at the end. Yes, the 'stupifying' twist that others complain about, will actually warm your heart. If you have kids, or have lost a loved one, I think it would be impossible to not at least get choked up with this film.Yes, it's true that it's somewhat predictable at times (but then again, there is no surprise the two stars are getting together at SOME point), and it loosely borrows its' storyline from Sleeping with the Enemy, and you do kind of wonder why she would choose to live in the woods after what she's been through (and is going through), but the movie just works. The characters I thought were lovely and had a ton of chemistry. The daughter's character was adorable, the scenery cozy, and the 'bad guy', well...he looks and acts the part. This is no Oscar contender, by any stretch, but since The Notebook had terrible reviews as well, I tend not to pay too much attention to critics. Everyone in the theater, including men, enjoyed
