    Good date movie. Both men and women will enjoy it

    A nice romantic movie with a bit of drama and suspense. Blended families with adolescents in the house may find this to be a good movie to see and then discuss certain intricacies as well. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed this movie quite a bit and recommend it for all viewers.

    Valentines Day

    My wife and I attended last night for Valentines, we're still talking about it this morning. We have a home on Bald Head Island near Southport so had been wrapped up in the filming this summer. It was better than we every expected. Wonderful love story. We are going back Sunday with our kids to see it again

    Safe Haven

    Best NS movie yet. My husband wanted to watch it again as soon as we left. Great story line and as always very romantic. Can't wait to go watch it again. A must see for everyone.

    Great movie!

    My friend and I went to see this movie and absolutely loved it! It has mystery, suspense, plus all the other things you expect from Nicholas Sparks: cute scenes, love, pain, and tears. It was slightly slow in the middle, but the characters and ending make it all a worth while film. Go see it!

    Horrible acting

    The plot was predictable and I the only thing that could've redeemed the movie were the actors. But both Duhamel and Hough did sub par jobs. If you are expecting a 'the notebook esque" experience, prepare to be very disappointed. You are better off watching a lifetime orginal movie.

    Safe Haven

    At first I wasn't to thrilled with the casting. I didn't think they were a good match for a Nicholas Sparks movie, until I seen the movie! Perfect match to join the Nicholas Sparks family. Safe Haven was a great movie, tear jerker, and great plot from begining to end. Its appropriate for children but dont think little boys would enjoy it. Noah is my first love, but I got over our break up after meeting John, but then John enlisted again and I fell head over heals for Alex! Nicholas Sparks...Congratulations!!! You did it again!

    Guys, take her to see this movie...

    I enjoyed this movie. It was not outstanding but it was good and the story kept you interested. My daughter read the book and said their were some notable differences but the overall story wasn't changed. The two main characters worked well together on screen. Good chemistry. Go see the movie - take your wife, girlfriend or daughter - you'll get points for doing so!
    Having raised two daughters, my Man Card has been nearly confiscated a number of times so I know of what I speak!

    Safe Haven

    I took my granddaughter to see this film and we both felt it was a very touching intertaining movie. What a surprise at the end. It showed what can happen in ones life and we felt it was proven any one can go on with life no matter what happens to ones life. All in all it was very intertaining for all ages. I'm 62 and my grandaughter is 18.

    Totally Loved This Film

    I usually avoid anything based on Nicholas Sparks novels, primarily because he is fond of killing off his lead characters. This time though, I had heard it had a better ending so I took a chance. It totally blew me away--very beautifully done film. I will absolutely buy a Blu Ray copy as soon as it is released.

    Similar to the book

    I do love reading books that have become movies just to see the difference..this one was very close to the book. There were a few minor differences but otherwise absolutely follwed the Nickolas Sparks novel :)

    Very Romantic and Thrilling

    Hough plays a woman on the run from her past. Just when her life is darkest, she finds love in a small town with a broken widower who lost his wife to cancer. It sounds like a tear jerker, but for the most part this is just about as a romantic a setup and movie as I've seen in a long time. Just the right amount of tension and plot twists keep it humming. There's a whopper of a surprise ending, which adds to the thrills.

    If you're here then you're considering it. If so - YOU MUST GO.

    If you're looking for a guy movie go see Die Hard. If you're here looking at this review then you are looking for a good date movie or something romantic. If that's the case then look no further - this is the one to see.
    This movie throws mystery and suspense into a romantic / fall in love package. I'm a guy and I took my wife and we both loved it. It's got enough entertainment value and suspense to keep me interested. It had the romance and tears that kept my wife glued. The plot twist is something people may disagree about - I personally loved it.
    WE NEED NEW CRITICS. If this is how our critics are advising us then why are we listening? They would rather send me to see an artsy movie about some guy painting naked or a film about deforestation in a country I haven't heard of instead of a good entertaining movie. I never listen to their reviews and neither should you.

    very romantic and a must see movie. The cast was perfect, Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough were perfect together, the chemistry between them was hot and very real. The plot was really realistic, and yes it made cry at times and laugh at times. The two kids were great in their roles as well, this is just a great drama and the perfect date movie. The twist at the end just made the whole movie. See it as a GNO (Girls Night Out) or with your partner gay or straight, but don't take my word for it, see it for yourselves.

    Favorite movie now!

    I'm 12 almost 13 so this would be good for my age group and older. I absolutely love this movie!! It made me cry like 5 times during the movie or at least tear up up, it has such a different story to it than most romance movies it's just I don't know I loved it and out of 1-10 I'd give it a 10 and this is my new favorite movie and would recommend it to anybody who's interested you won't regret it! It is sad but happy and makes you smile throughout the movie and its realistic :)

    One of the better NS adaptations

    I took my guy friend with me to see this movie and even he was able to enjoy it because of the thriller aspect and the adorable kids in the film. If you're a Nicholas Sparks fan, you must go, and others will enjoy the chemistry between the two main characters as well.
