    Enjoyed!

    Enjoyed the movie! Of course, LOVED the book much better. As always, there will be some changes from the writing of the book however I but really enjoyed the movie and glad I went to see it. Juliana Hough did a great job playing the character of Katie!

    Great Date Movie

    My husband and I went to see this movie on Valentine's Night. What a perfect movie for the holiday. I loved this movie and it was just as great as I thought it would be. I love the town the movie was set in, I loved everthing about this movie.

    safe haven

    It was a good movie, there were some parts that I thought more information was needed.. the neighbor who Katie went to when she left her husband then called to say she found a safe
    place. BUt all in all it was a good movie.

    Good movie!

    It's not the notebook, but nicholas sparks has a great storyline to this one! Tha actors did a great job. the ending could've been better but i can say that about plenty of movies. For a chick flick i really enjoyed watching this. Reminds me of movies on LMN. Overall i liked it!

    Well Done

    Well done adaptation of the book. Character's well developed just like in the book. I enjoyed discussing the characters and plot with my husband. He had not read the book, but enjoyed the plot twists and did not feel like he was watching a chick flick.

    Awesome movie!! I laughed, cried and sat on the edge on my seat!! And a twist at the end that you won't expect!! Great cast! Wonderful job Nicholas Sparks!!!

    Safe Haven

    This was one of the best movies I've seen in quite a while.
    Minimal violence and romance without R rated scenes.
    The acting was superb and very believable.
    By the end I had tears in my eyes.

    Yes,but then again....

    I took my wife to see Safe Haven and was the only man in the cinema. I whispered to her "this'll cost you Die Hard next week!!"
    I have to admit, however, that this was a most enjoyable movie and I give it two thumbs up.
    Unfortunately the ridiculous character 'twist' right at the end did detract from what was a really solid film - it was just so unnecessary and far-fetched........the movie needed it like a hole in the head.
    Anyway, that notwithstanding I'd still recommend it.

    Safe Haven

    I really loved this movie. My husband went with me and he even liked it. Josh and Julianne are great together! You know how you can't wait to see a movie then you watch it and your let down some what. That's no so with this one.

    Best Romantic Movie In A Long Time

    Such a good movie! Really great story line and twists. This movie made me laugh, cry and melt. The chemistry between Julliane Hough and Josh Duhmal was amazing! I've already seen this movie twice, that's how great it is.

    Safe Haven

    This is a must see if you have not yet seen it, was Amazing!! Took wife to see it opening day for Valentine's Day & I was so into it, I would go back and see it again in a hearbeat.

    Good Movie

    Went on Valentine's Day with my hubby, have to say I enjoyed more than him. Kind of slow in parts, but several unexpected twists. Overall a typical Nicholas Sparks movie.

    Worth the wait

    The movie was a "go see" for the romantics out there. As is the norm, the book is a must read BEFORE you watch the movie. You will appreciate both for their subtle differences.

    Safe Haven

    It was a great romantic movie, very touching. It's a shame there are critics out there who gave it a poor rating. Apparently, the critics are only interested in violent movies which is not right. If there would be more movies like Safe Haven, maybe there would not be so much violence in this world. Let's get some good critics.

    Kind of like the book...

    Saw Safe Haven last night and I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. As far as movies go, this was great! The acting is believable, the setting is gorgeous and the music is so beyond perfect, it literally left me speechless sometimes! But for a film adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel, it sucked. They changed character names, changed some story lines and didn't really develop Katie's character nearly as much as they should have. It is a story about a woman starting over after an abusive marriage, but they spend so much time leading up to that and making you think she's a criminal that the "big reveal" of Katie's past was really anticlimactic. I found myself thinking, "WHAT?? That's it?" They should have made Katie's character more vulnerable as she is written in the book. Julianne Hough did a good job, but portrayed a different Katie than the one in the book.

    All in all, Safe Haven was totally enjoyable, thrilling, and perfectly romantic movie, but not as good as the book!
