    Titanic 3D

I was really disappointed in the 3D of the movie. It really wasn't much different than seeing at home...only bigger. I wouldn't waste my money.

    Feels real

    by wryci

I am not a big fan of 3D movies nowadays but this was really good. The movie had more depth. At points, you actually felt like you were looking over the ship into the water, I know, not what you want to feel like on a sinking ship, but it brought you into the experience. I think it was done very well. like seeing it for the first time!

First time to see Titanic in theater

This was my first time to see Titanic in a theater, and I loved it! I saw and heard a lot more detail than I have noticed on the dvd. Having recently read the Rough Guide's "The Titanic", I also noticed many of the myths, facts, and firsthand accounts that were incorporated so seamlessly into the storyline.
The 3D aspects in many places were simply outstanding, and added a lot to the feel of being there. In other places the 3D effect was less pronounced, or I did not notice it as much.
I'm glad Cameron updated the overhead star field shot to reflect the Milky Way as it would have been seen the night of the disaster.
Definitely a movie for adults to love in my opinion.

    Like Never Before?absolutly.

This really was outstanding. You really have never before seen it this way. Not only is it clear and hello-on screen again since 1997!- but its in 3D and looks remarkable. it'll make you cry all over again.

YOU'RE A PART OF THE TITANIC

What a great experience. I felt like I was on the Titanic; walking the decks, sitting at the tables, dancing with Jack and Rose. Everything was crisp and more clear. You felt like you could touch the iceberg when the ship passed it. When the ship was sinking, you felt it! It was an incredible experience!! If you loved Titanic, you will be in awe to see it in 3D. Great job James Cameron!

    Don't tinker with a classic

If you're a fan of "Titanic" and have wanted to see it again on the big screen, go see this release. If you've never seen it, you're in for a lifetime experience. But if you're going to see it just for the 3D, don't bother -- the 3D, limited as it is, does nothing to enhance the film. That's probably because the film was not intended to be shot in 3D to begin with. There are a few extra scenes in here that were dropped from the original -- nothing stellar, but mildly important minor items that do come back later -- and the film loses none of its impact as you watch the great ship break in half and head to its watery grave. But Paramount, frankly, could have saved itself a big chunk of change, and all of the moviegoers a few bucks each, but simply releasing a cleaned-up original cut on the eve of the 100th anniversary of Titanic's demise. I'd normally rate this "so-so," but the film is so good that even a disappointing 3D version gets a thumbs-up.

    WoW!

I saw the original back in '97 and fell in love with it. I'm hesitant to see 3-D movies because they give me a headache, but this one was worth it. The effects are awesome and you feel as if you are really in the movie because it looks so realistic as if you reached out and could touch the characters. Loved it!

    Titanic 3-D

    by

The movie was good. I am not sure that the 3D was needed though. It didn't change a lot for me. I took my daughter and 3 friends and it was powerful.

    Still An Awesome Movie!

This movie never disappoints! It gives you probable insight into what those people aboard the real Titantic must have gone through. It's a great love story wrapped into a unforgettable, tragic story.

The big screen made the difference for me

I was not able to see this movie the first time on the big screen and that was my driving force to see it again. I think Titanic needs to be seen in a theater for the full effect. The music is dynamic and emotional throughout. The performances really force you to have strong opinions about the characters whether that is disgust and frustration or love and sympathy. The 3D did make me feel a bit more involved in the action which was pretty dramatic at parts, but whether it was because of the 3D or not I was more aware of the CGI. It was really only in a few spots but I noticed it. I'd go and see it again if it were on the big screen.

    LOVE this movie!

I'm biased because I adore this movie. There honestly wasn't much "3D" as we all know it (ie: things coming out at you) but it was pretty incredible seeing all the people as 3D rather then 2D. The most incredible part is seeing this movie on the big screen again. If you like the movie, you'll LOVE seeing it on the big screen (3D or no 3D)!!

Worth the $$ to see in 3D!!!!

    by

Saw Titanic 11 times in theater when it first came out. So, yes, I'm a fan of the original movie. Was a little skeptical about adding 3D to this already classic movie but I was very pleasantly surprised!! The 3D added to the m story not distracted from it as I was originally concerned about. It is not a 3D movie as in things fly at you for no reason whatsoever but it enhanced the movie by making it seem like you were IN the movie.

My 16 year old daughter has seen this on DVD....but she was amazed and blown away seeing it in the theater and in 3D!!!

James Cameron does it again! Well done James!!!

    Titanic 3D

    by Roni31

I loved Titanic 3D as much as I loved the original version on 1997. At paijeshawt: the Titanic was in the news at that time before it sailed and had two sister ships that also sunk. So yes. you would have heard about it. Probably not as much.

    A Classic ... with very little 3D?

    by

Titanic is one of my all-time favorite films, so I was very excited to see this. Titanic 3D was the same Titanic as the original, nothing added, nothing new. The film was amazing, as it always has been. However, it was disappointing when I realized that this film was not as 3D as much as I expected it to be. The ultimate test with 3D movies ... remove your 3D glasses randomly throughout the film, and if the movie looks blurry, then it's in 3D. However, if its still easily visible, its not in 3D as much as you thought. So, I did the test, and almost the entire movie was not in 3D. So, this is all the negative I had to say about it. Other than that, it was nice to see one of my favorite films on the big screen and to be able to be apart of the Titanic 100 Year Anniversary. If you are a Titanic lover like me, then I'm sure you will enjoy the film, 3D or not!

    My Rating: B+
