Solid Scary Movie

No new territory covered here, but director Ole Bournedal commits to his mission and delivers some good creeps with a decent amount of style. Handsomely mounted and effective.

It will keep you glued to the screen!

My partner and I went to see this movie because we love horror movies and the trailers caught our attention. While it seems to be another Exorcist movie this one is decidedly different because of the Jewish religious side instead of the usual Christian side. You literally cannot take your eyes off the story line unfolding. They keep the story flowing perfectly and make sure you can't dare get bored. The ending will also leave you wondering...is it truly over??? Go and enjoy it! But beware if you go to a Yard Sale!!

Pretty good!

I would have to say this movie was pretty good. It kept me interested and talking about it afterwards. It was creepy at some parts but I wouldn't say terrifying. It was funny cuz there was a bunch of teenagers that we're in the front row who laughed every time they were scared. It is defiantly a movie to go see though. I recommend seeing it with friends cuz u will have a lot of fun.

not scary at all the ending sucked by the way i mean really i dont understand why they made such a big hype over this movie true story or not wasnt that big of a deal, the unborn was better than this thing

The Pocession

Not to bad, but you may want to wait an rent it or buy it. The acting was good and I did like the plot of the show. Some good old creepy scenes.

Great Movie

No clue why some people thought it was funny...?? Also if you were not interested why did you go?? Why did you even write a review.

People are talking trash. The Movie was very well put together and made the hair on your neck stand up. Best horror movie I have seen recently sense The Women in Black.

Im a big movie guy and loved it a lot better than some of these possession movies.

Expected bit more from Sam Raimi

Title says it all. Overall well acted, creepy at times. I would have liked some more whimsical scary fun from Raimi. Overall enjoyable but not a must.

Downgraded version of the Exorcist.

There were a few scary moments(without the blood) but they were few and far between. The young Jewish rabbi was an unexpected twist. But the biggest surprise was Kyra Sedgewick in the role of the mother. The movie was too mediocre for someone of her caliber.

Exorcist Remake

This was a good remake of the Exorcist. Or at least I think it was because there were several people in the theatre who insisted on talking in loud voices and running all over the place.

Instead of catholic priests doing the exorcism, it has a Hasidic rabbi.

If you go to a theatre to see a movie please have some respect for other people and SHUT THE ***&^ UP!

It was okay

I wouldn't buy it on DVD but it was okay. I took my kids 13 and 11 and it scared them but for an adult it wasn't a cover your eyes movie.

Scariest Exorcism Movie!!

The entire movie was excellent! This is the scariest movie about Exorcisms I have ever scene, even better than the Exorcist. I don't scare easily but this movie really did scare me, especially since it is based on a true story. Go see it, you won't be disappointed!!

Beware!

I saw this "movie" last night. I am now out $31.50 and that's 1:31 hours of time that I will never get back...Think of the Exorcist with a Jewish twist with the Exorcist having four stars and this one getting zip. Nothing scary about this one - more humorous in their attempt at horror. Did someone run out of directors (and writers) and fetched someone off the street?

Totally Disapointed

This movie was not anything like expected. It is not a "Horror" movie! There are no real scary parts in this movie and it was a total let down to me. Yes there are a few suspenseful moments but nothing worthy of the words Horror, Thriller, or Scary. I still do not think it would be a movie any small children should watch. The acting was average as well as the directing. If you like those so called scary movies like the paranormal activity series, then this movie is for you.

Creeeeeppppy!

I actually enjoyed the movie. It isn't your classic horror movie but the way it is filmed it is easy to believe that this is based on a true story. It was creepy and i was tense almost throughout the whole movie. It was good.

Dull.
Oh so dull
I'm all for a slow burn, but it's all slow and no burn.
Well shot? Yup. Well acted too. But stone cold dull. Not one scare. Nary a half jump. The audiences was bored.

When Matisyahu is the best part of a movie, something's wrong.
