Completely and Thoroughly Unoriginal

If you have ever seen an exorcism movie then you have already seen this movie. It brought nothing new to the table. The actors were good, but that's about it. Save your money and watch it on Netflix.

We enjoyed it

There were several good jump out your seat scenes. The effects were subtle yet disturbing. Being it was referenced to a true story made it intriguing. Acting was good. Though my friend found it predictable, I thought after one sees a thousand scary movies, it is hard for a movie to NOT be predictable! Go see it! It is worth the fee of a movie for sure!

Not bad!

As stated in the title, not bad for a horror suspense movie. Worth the money and don't get a big bucket of popcorn cause you might spill it when it gets suspensful.

A Moth See Movie....

Okay, I'm going to say go.
I can understand why professional critics are going to say pass. Because this is pretty basic, common and pedestrian "Possession" horror movie fare. But if that is what you are in the mood to see? It is done well enough.

One scene employs the "strobe" light effect. Some other scenes are executed and leave you thinking they could of, and should of, been scarier. But overall? For what it is, it is fine. Don't expect to see the scariest movie of your life...and you can enjoy this perfectly palatable if very predictable horror film.

This is not "based on true story" but "Inspired by true story". I haven't seen the movie like this for so long. At one point, I really felt like "I must get out of here!"
Make sure to protect yourself spiritually before you go!!!

It was good...

I didnt find it scary one bit but there were creepy parts. I hated that alot of things were not explained and just left up in the air. It was still good just don't go with alot of dumb teenagers are they will ruin it.

This is a movie worth seeing but there are many "typical" scenes. The movie was interesting but it was if the screenwriter tried too hard to make the movie scary.

It will keep you glued to the screen!

My partner and I went to see this movie because we love horror movies and the trailers caught our attention. While it seems to be another Exorcist movie this one is decidedly different because of the Jewish religious side instead of the usual Christian side. You literally cannot take your eyes off the story line unfolding. They keep the story flowing perfectly and make sure you can't dare get bored. The ending will also leave you wondering...is it truly over??? Go and enjoy it! But beware if you go to a Yard Sale!!

Good if you like scary

me and a friend went to see this movie what we both had high exectations for being scary (we both love scary movies). WE really injoyed it and even found some parts funny. the little girl is creepy and the demon baby thing scared the Shi*t out of me. over all if you like to be scared go see this it is a very well done exercist film.

Great Movie

No clue why some people thought it was funny...?? Also if you were not interested why did you go?? Why did you even write a review.

People are talking trash. The Movie was very well put together and made the hair on your neck stand up. Best horror movie I have seen recently sense The Women in Black.

Im a big movie guy and loved it a lot better than some of these possession movies.

Made me crap my pants (sorry, "soil myself")

This is done right! Great acting ( a must) great story, even though you think it's a formula plot, excellent special effects (unless, gasp, that was really happening!) I rank it up there with Poltergeist for shock value and, of course, leaving a little meat on the bone for a sequel! May be too intense for some audiences, like, for example, YOU! HA HA Ha ha ha ha ha...echhh!

I grew up watching movies these types of movies and can say this reminded me of a cross between The Exorcist and The Seventh Sign, two of my favorites. I thought it was really good.

The Possession was awesome!!

Our son picked the movie and the 3 of us had a blast, perfect start to the Halloween season!! Love the story line and events and the way it leaves off, keeps you wondering what will happen next. One we'll be going to buy when out on DVD/Blue-Ray!!

Awesome Movie

I really like this movie. This is a must see movie. I can not wait until this comes on dvd! I will be buying this. I have had to close my eyes and plug my ears a few parts in this. HAHA I love it!
